This review is long overdue. I thought I could let this problem go but I just went back to watch my wedding video and the feeling of rage came over me again. We booked after seeing A&A at the wedding extravaganza and my husband was so impressed. Now watching the video again I think a high school journalism student could have surpassed the quality of the film we got. You are asked to submit music you want to go with the video as I did so in no particular order. In our video there is just clips of the wedding day with music dubbed over it. To top it of, there is fast music where there should be slow and where there is slow music people are dancing to faster music! I should have complained earlier but I was in school and to get the time of day for people of this company to sit down with you is like trying to pull teeth. I got my DVD in a regular plastic dvd case, nothing spectacular and no one ever sat down with me to make sure I even loved it
Save your money and go with a smaller company that actually see you as individuals with a momentous occasion versus company who sees you as a chore checked off their to do list. Avoid this company at all cost, and I’ll tell you THEY COST!

I don’t know where to start. My husband wanted to interview multiple people but I said no I want A&A. I’ve wanted them to do my wedding for 13 years since they did my cousins. I’ve watched almost all of their highlights/​instant edits and fell in love with their work each time. We went into meet with Imran at A&A video and photo. We personally like to deal with family businesses so you aren’t just a number. Whenever we called or messaged Imran he would respond within a day. He worked with us on every aspect of video and photo process. I am more of a hands on person and so is my husband. We wanted to be involved in the process from poses to different video ideas and they were right there with us from every step of the way! As a bride dealing with video and photo can be so stressful. Dealing with A&A was such a relief they were there atleast 20 minutes before to set up and told us where to stand and how to pose. They walked us through everything so we didn’t have to worry. We met with Imran multiple times and each time he was relaxed and we never felt rushed in our meetings. Since my husband is from Chicago he wanted to incorporate Chicago into the video and photo. So we worked with Imran to have his crew fly out to Chicago to get photo and video. They came with us to various places around Chicago to get all the shots we wanted. My husband was very particular and wanted certain shots at night and the A&A crew were more than accommodating. He had a specific way he wanted the entrance for the reception to be shot and Riz was right there with him every step of the way and captured it just the way he wanted it. When you look for a video and photo company you want someone that has a vision Imran and his brother Riz have that vision. I didn’t want just pictures or video I wanted them to capture moments and emotions. That’s exactly what they did. We sprung for the same day edit to keep our guests entertained at the reception. However, I think Shan and I were more entertained than everyone else because we saw how they made us look like movie stars. We were awestruck by the video they played to the point where we cannot stop watching it! Our friends and family can’t say enough about the same day edit they are all in love with it. The whole crew at A&A really treated us like family. When you have a wedding the décor, food, and the venue will come and go the only thing that will last are the memories you have and the moments you see on the pictures and through the video. Shan and I want to personally thank the crew A&A, Imran, and Riz again for all their hard work and for capturing our emotions, feelings, family, friends, and this is something We will cherish for these rest of our lives. I must say one last thing if you don’t go with A&A for photo and video you will regret it!

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. We were recommended 1 Cinema Productions by our wedding planner and originally thought that they would be the perfect company to take our engagement & wedding photos and wedding video. When we saw other couple’s wedding and engagement pictures at the studio, we were impressed. Our experience, however, was just awful. First, the photographer assigned to take our engagement pictures arrived over an hour late to our Sunday session. Total waste of money getting my makeup done (and time) because we had to wait in the hot sun for him ‘being only 5 min away’. We informed 1 Cinema of this incident and received sincere apologies. Since we ended up being happy with the way our engagement pictures turned out, we decided that we still wanted to use them for our wedding. It came time to meet with 1 Cinema to discuss the wedding pictures we wanted to be taken on our wedding day. First, the photographer we met with to discuss this wasn’t even the photographer or video-​grapher that arrived on our wedding day. Second, I came prepared with a list of all of the pictures I wanted to our pre-​wedding day appointment and was told ‘we don’t need the list because we do weddings all of the time and will know what pictures to take’. okay… So what was the point of meeting up before the wedding then? Plus, everyone has some pictures that they want that aren’t ‘standard’. On our wedding day, we were so rushed around and spent most of our time talking to guests that I didn’t pay attention to what the photographer was and was not capturing. Plus I wasn’t too worried about it because I was reassured over and over that the photographer knew what they were doing. Clearly they had no idea what we asked to be captured on our wedding day. I am still upset to this day (months later) at how horrible the quality of the pictures we did get turned out and about how many moments and pictures with family were missed. Not 1 picture of my dad and I walking down the isle from the front, not 1 picture of my groomsmen and bridesmaids together, only 1 front picture of my bridesmaids and I getting ready the day of, the video only had my Maid of Honor speech in it and not the Best Man’s speech (and his speech was great too)… the list goes on and on. Did I mention the quality was horrible? The pictures turned out dark, grainy and fuzzy. The quality on pictures from cell phones turned out way better than the ones we received from here. Why did I pay thousands of dollars for this service when I received better pictures from cell phones?! As far as time frame goes… we were told we would receive the pictures back 6 – 8 weeks later. I reached out to them ON the 8 week mark asking for an update and they still weren’t finished. So 9 – 10 weeks and we finally get our pictures back. This would all be fine if we knew going into it what to expect and if they were the ones who kept us up to date instead of us having to ask for updates. The manager and I had several conversations discussing the above items (and other items I did not mention for purposes of how long this review is already). He was able to work out a LITTLE bit of a reimbursement for everything we experienced but they still haven’t followed up with us on ordering a picture for print that came with the package we signed up for. Just extremely disappointed with everything. I sincerely hope these issues were worked out so no one else experiences the same thing we did. The worst part of it all is that we can’t go back to that day and hire someone else to take those pictures. So much money and time went into planning and executing. Everything else turned out so awesome. Just wish we had a good photographer to capture it all.

Working with A&A was a no brainer. I booked them for videography before I even had a wedding date! A DATE! Sonia was super easy to work with and she not only helped in the beginning when she was explaining the package and getting the contract underway, but also in the end, when my dad wanted a bit more edited into the raw footage, as well as expediting getting our video online to share with our friends and family. Our videographers, I can go on and on about. Ernell and Gaurav were amazing, it was very apparent that they had done this plenty of times before. Honestly, I’m so glad Ernell was there because he was so good at making me calm down and chill out and reminding me to smile (since I don’t, at least not on default, lol). Seriously, Ernell is such an asset to A&A, I hope they treat you well Ernell! Overall, both of their professionalism was outstanding and it was so easy and relaxed working with them. Not to mention they are so good at what they do. The editors were amazing, I cannot express how happy I was when I saw the final video, I especially loved the highlight and so did many of our family and friends! I would highly recommend them to anyone. Did I mention I live in Chicago and flew them out for our wedding?! Worth every penny!

When the greatest day of a girls life is being planned, usually most girls are confident on what shoes they will wear. Well, for me it was who I would hire to do my wedding photos and wedding video. There was no question on who I would be going with, I had no doubts in my mind that A&A would be the best team to represent and portray my wedding in a beautiful HL video and amazing pictures. Not only did they live up to the hype that I had in my mind, they also surpassed it by going above and beyond. They truly are the best to work with, extremely professional and they are honest. They made me feel like I was the most important client they had and they were always available at my beck and call.
If you’re in the market for a Photo/​Video team, look no further, A&A is the only option!

We would like to thank the entire A&A team for their utmost professionalism and enthusiasm during our wedding festivities. From the prewedding photoshoot to the wedding weekend we can only think of positive memories. The photographers and videographers become a part of the family as they strive to capture memories that we will cherish for a lifetime.

I cannot say enough great things about both A&A and 1Cinema! They were so easy and fantastic to work with from day 1! We worked with Sonia on our contract, and she was so reasonable in creating a package that was right for us. Ryan, Duane, and Brenda worked so hard to help us sort out logistics down to the minute! They also picked up on the fact that there were two extra hours that we had paid for but hadn’t scheduled and called me two days before my wedding to let me know and ask where they could add that time – so many people would have just taken advantage of us, but A&A showed how much they cared. My husband and I weren’t in love with our engagement photos, so the crew got up early on the day of our first event to help us re-​take those and ensure that we’d have images that we’d treasure for a lifetime!
We ultimately worked with Danny and Jay (photo) and Wahab and Zach (video). They were awesome as individuals and even more fantastic as a team to the point that, almost a year later, our wedding guests still rave about how much fun they had with the crew capturing our memories! I can’t say enough great things about them! After their time ended, we asked them to stay and celebrate with us – they put their equipment away and joined us in dancing away the night, which made for a great memory! One of our events started an hour later than expected due to another vendor being late, and I was visibly stressed about how the end of that event, which was the most important, would be captured, and they agreed to add an extra half hour to our contract to make sure I had that precious memory. Aside from the basics, the things we loved most about them were the love story that was ready to show at our reception, the drones that captured our baraat perfectly, the energy that the whole team had regardless of if it was midnight or six in the morning, and how easy and flexible they were to work with!
For both photo and video, the products were ready well before expected, and Sara was great about calling me within minutes of their being ready. The final video was Hollywood quality, and the pictures were equally amazing! Can’t say enough great things!!!

I was a HUGE fan of this company for several years before I even got engaged. However, this experience has lead me to not recommend this company to anyone. I’m writing this review (my first review ever) because I believe all brides should know what to expect when working with this company.
THIS IS AN EMAIL I SENT TO THE COMPANY AFTER MY EXPERIENCE. I never received a call from the owner, as requested, and was given 4 extra copies of my DVD, which they assumed was enough after I asked for a $ 1,000 refund. Once they get your money, they provide zero customer service.
EMAIL:
We have received our photos and videos from our wedding on June 14, 2014. However, this is after a very disappointing and frustrating experience with ANA and 1Cinema. I am emailing you in expectation that this is shared with the owners of the company. Also, due to the time, effort, patience and frustration it took to follow up and wait on my photos and videos, I am asking for a partial refund of $ 1,000. I have outlined a timeline of what has occurred below.
I was originally told my photos would be ready 6 – 8 weeks after my wedding and that my video would be ready 16 – 18 weeks after my wedding. Please note that during this time I did not receive one phone call from ANA or 1Cinema letting me know that my photos or videos were taking longer than expected or to apologize for the inconvenience. I was left having to call or email for updates. The excuses I received multiple times were: June was a very busy time for us (as a wedding photography company, you should know June is a busy time and set expectations more appropriately), a key individual was on vacation (this should not affect my experience), a key individual was on a two-​week long photo shoot (again, not something that should affect my experience). At one point, I was also explained the many different phases my video had to go through (all which should have been completed during the time I was told it would take to be completed).
· June 14 — Our wedding
· July 10 (4 wks) — Emailed requesting a status of my photos — no answer received.
· Aug. 12 (9 wks) — Emailed again to request a status of my photos — no answer received.
· Aug. 18 – 22 (10 wks) — Called the office and asked about the status of my photos. I was told they would be ready next week, already 2 weeks later than expected.
· Aug. 25 — 29 (11 wks) — Called the office and was told my photos were still not ready, but that they should be ready next week, 3 weeks later than expected.
· Aug. 29 (11 wks) — After not hearing back, I called the office and asked to speak with a manager. Brenda called me back that night and I expressed my frustration to her. Brenda was very accommodating and worked overtime on a Friday night to finalize my photos.
· Aug. 30 (11 wks) — I picked up pictures, 11 weeks after wedding.
After a slightly frustrating experience with my photos, I was sure my experience would be better with my video. Unfortunately, it only got worse from here.
· Oct. 15 (18 wks) — After not hearing from them, I emailed Brenda requesting an ETA on my video. Brenda forwarded my email to Victor, who responded and said my video is expected to be ready on Oct. 31, which was already 2 weeks late. I responded and asked if this could be expedited, and after several delays, Victor responded on Oct. 24 and said the expected date was still Oct. 31 and he would call when it’s ready.
· Oct. 30 (20wks) — Since I had not received a call, I emailed Victor asking for a status update, expecting it to be ready the next day, as I was told.
· Oct. 31 (20 wks) — Victor responded and said the producer had been out of town and has not burnt the DVD. Victor said my video would not be ready that day. He also said «we will give you a call soon». I’m not sure what he meant by «soon», but I never received a call until my video was ready more than four weeks later.
· Nov. 10 (21 wks) — Since I had not heard from them for two weeks, I called the office to request a status. I was told that it would be ANOTHER two weeks. After being told that my video would be ready 2 weeks PRIOR, this was very frustrating. I was also given excuses like «it was a busy time», «someone is out of town» and «someone is on a shoot».
· Nov. 24 (23 wks) — Since I still had not heard from them for another two weeks, I called the office to request a status update. I explained the runaround I had experience and requested that my video be ready by Thanksgiving. I was told that this shouldn’t be a problem.
· Nov. 26 (23 wks) — After not hearing from them by Thanksgiving, I called the office and asked to speak with the owner of the company since no one seemed to be able to help. I was told that my message would be given to the owners, but never received a call.
· Nov. 29 (24 wks) — I received a call from the receptionist and an email saying my video was ready, 24 long weeks after my wedding.

After we paid our deposit the scheduler kept changing what we can and cannot do. For everything we wanted they said there will be an enormous charge. A lot of attitude. No customer service m they don’t care about their customer.

Working with AnA was like a bride’s dream come true. Farhan and his entire team were excellent. They were beyond amazing, so professional, so good at what they do and so talented. They were on time, ready to shoot even if it was 6am or 12 at midnight. They had some amazing equipment. We used the jib and this cool gadget called the drone… it’s like a flying camera. They captured some great shots using that.
They were so friendly and polite towards us and our entire wedding party. They were true professionals. They knew exactly how to video all our events. They were able to videograph everything… literally everything!
Overall my experience with AnA was one that will be unforgettable. They truly captured all my wedding moments in the best way possible. I would highly recommend them to all my family and friends.

We hired A&A for our reception in Houston. First off, the first DVD they provided had my wife’s name misspelled. Then, when my father asked them kindly to please replace, they wanted to charge us for their mistake of misspelling our names! Incredible… Finally, after haggling, they said they would get our DVDs «for free,» as if it was not their mistake. Since then, I have been asking them for two months to please send us the updated DVD with no response. Not shocking, their lack of response has come since we have paid. I will be fair and say the highlight video we saw was well done. But I am extremely disappointed with their lack of responsiveness when you pay so much for this kind of service.

I got a great engagement photo shoot, and the video for my wedding was great! I’m still getting raves over it.
We got a package that included the steady cam, which makes for a lot of great shots. Obed caught some really great scenes, and A&A was able to edit a great highlight video. I was also pleasantly surprised at how well the documentary was. The picture quality was very good and they added music as well.

After a completed contract and funds paid in full, A&A Video DID NOT SHOW UP TO OUR WEDDING. No video to remember our special moment. To add insult to injury, the day after, we received an automated email saying this: «Congratulations on your marriage! We had a wonderful time at your wedding. Thank you again for allowing us to be a part of your incredible day.»
Tell me if they are really paying any attention… I am led to believe that they have put all their efforts on gathering future clients at the bridal extravaganza (which was on the same day) rather than taking care of a paying customer… Don’t be a victim of A&A (Absentminded & Away Video)

A&A are awesome. We hired A&A to video my father’s surprise birthday party over 8 years ago. We sat down with them and went over the schedule for the entire event. Their staff is professional and gave great suggestions. I still remember while we were setting up for my father’s party we realized our projector had been stolen. We were scrambling around trying to find a replacement when Farhan (from A&A) heard what had happened. He told us not to worry, and immediately called his team to get us a replacement!
Since then, we have used them for all of our events, and have recommended them to several of our friends. No one has ever been disappointed! They are extremely passionate about their work, and this shows in their end product.
Eight years later, we still love sitting down to watch my father’s birthday party video. They brilliantly caputured the best moments from the party without being intrusive, and their editing is flawless! If you are looking for a videographer for your next event, trust me, A&A is who you want!

Loved our experience with A&A. They did our wedding video — nearly 3 years ago now, but we still adore watching it. The whole team was wonderful to work with from the very beginning — they listened to what we wanted, and really paid attention to the details.
We were happy with the end product and their communication throughout the process. I’d definitely recommend working with A&A.

A&A Nico in my opinion are the best in the business. I recently hired them for my video & photoshoot for my sisters wedding, outcome was fabulous beyond what we had ever imagined. The staff is great people to work with, they took us thru all their initial meeting, gave us different packages, from which we picked Cinematography package, & Nico Photos was WOW! I would definitely recommend them for all my events.

This is a small business started by a group of brothers. I think they do videography only, but that subcategory wasn’t available. Unilocal should have some kind of wedding vendor category! I really could’ve used that instead of scanning sites like The Knot Houston, calling places, and getting references, which are going to be wholly positive if they’re given from the company. But I digress.
I learned of them at a friend’s wedding in which I was a bridesmaid. The videographer worked alone and with a second cameraperson during the ceremony. They left an impression on me because the videographer single-​handedly came to the 5 days of South Asian wedding events (which the hired photog didn’t) and he learned and remembered so many people’s names – there were 8 bridesmaids, 16 groomsmen alone and he remembered my fiancé’s name. Later, I learned they were voted best videographer in Houston by The Knot. Doesn’t surprise me!
Needless to say, I had to check them out for my own wedding. Call/​email to set up an appointment. They have a slick presentation. The camerawork is very smooth and you can see how they’ve invested money in fancy software to help them retouch/​edit videos to make color pop out of a black and white sequence and brighten colors in general. They are incredibly professional. No deposit is required, you can set up your own payment schedule. The bad news was they are pricey. I just wanted a video record of the big event and was not willing to spend this much. The lowest package is $ 2000 for 6 hours of coverage, 2 cameras pre-​ceremony & ceremony, a highlight reel, and 1 DVD with chapters. If you can afford them, hire them! They are awesome and their videos look great. Samples are posted are their website, which they’re updating right now and a lot of it is under construction because it’s different from when I first saw it 6 months ago.
