Affordable Tree Service By Martin Spoonemore

I have no problem with the crew, they worked hard and I’m sure they did what they were told. Unfortunately, Martin seemed to forget what he told me I was going to get for my $ 487. The canopy was NOT opened to allow sunlight to the ground, as he said very specifically it would be, and he made vague excuses including his nephew and even me!
He’s not a man of his word.

We contacted Affordable Tree Service to come out and spray our trees and kill the Ball moss that has appeared on a lot of our trees. Martin Spoonemore came out and talked with us about spraying for the moss which would die and fall off and also suggested that we trim the canopy of the Oak tree and deep root feed all the trees. He quoted me $ 1900.00. The came out in November of 2015 and did all the work for which they were paid in full at the time. I was told by his nephew when he came to spray, that the Ball moss «actually» takes several spraying to kill it — not just one. I was never told that in the beginning by Mr. Spoonemore. I was told that in the Spring I would be amazed at how wonderful all the trees would look.
Come January 2016, I called back and talked with Mr. Spoonemoore that I was very disappointed at how little change I have seen in the trees and that none of the moss had died. I said that I thought that actually had more now. I was told to give it until March and call back. Come March 2016, I could not even get them to answer my calls. We finally go through by calling from a different phone number and requesting information on trees service. This April 30^th.
I had planned to start having this company come out once a year and take care of you trees. But, this is obviously not a reputable company and does not want to stand behind their service. Mr. Spoonmoore did return our call back and set up an appointment to come spray. He gave us a date and never showed up after 9 hours waiting. Mr. Spoonmoore now claims that it takes several years and several spaying to kill Ball moss. He suggested that we scrape it off of the tree, which would help it die. Seriously? We called him back and told him how upset we were with his lack of consideration and responsibility. He made a new appointment and again never showed for that one. It has been over a week and he has yet to call and talk with us at all.
This company, as with many companies now, take your hard earned money, promise you a lot and walk away padding their pockets. I would not recommend this company and do not hesitate in telling people how we have been treated.

Martin and crew did a great job trimming two palm trees and removing a third that died from a lightening strike. They showed up early and finished in the exact timeframe he said it would take. They did a good job with cleanup also. I would use again.
