Saw this place while driving and stopped by to get a few split ends cut off. Didn’t bother doing any research on stylist because I figured what I was asking for wouldn’t be too difficult. I sadly left there with half my length chopped off. It’s gonna be awhile till it’s back to a decent length. Just make sure you read reviews on the stylist first. I wish I had. :(

Alex Burton Studios is a big place where various hair stylists rent out their own space. Each have their own room and number, and it can look kind of confusing when you first walk in. Luckily, there is a list on the wall so you can look up the name of your stylist and easily find their area.
I had my hair cut at Lucy’s Hair Studio, and she did the best job on my hair of anyone who has cut it in the past year. She’s not super talkative, which is fine by me, she just gets the job done and she does it well.
It’s located right off Westheimer just past the Galleria on the right, if you’re traveling west.

This review is for Sean. The studio is made up of a group of stylists, makeup artists, etc who lease a private space and handle their own appointments. Sean is in Suite 156, at 713.528.4450.
Got another *great* haircut from Sean a couple of weeks ago. My hair is between 2C and 3A, probably closer to 3A. I have been going to Sean for 3 years now and have always been pleased with the results. He always styles my hair curly at the end, which I appreciate so I can see how it will look as I never straighten it. For me the key is «can I fix it as easily myself afterwards» and the answer has always been yes. Sean listens to what I ask for and always explains what he is doing ahead of time and as he is cutting. Always a great experience!
As far as the salon goes, parking is not a problem. Just be sure to allow time for traffic at certain times of the day, as it is the Galleria area.

Go see Heather on the 2^nd floor. Shes the best.
