You gotta love this new spicy beef soup! Im addicted to it, gotta have it everyday. The taste of the spicy beef soup is very special. I took my family here once a week after church, the waiters are nice, the place is clean. I tried the steak too, had a good taste too :)

I’m always excited when a new restaurant opens on Bellaire, especially one that specializes in something or is unique. I’m also reluctant to write negative(or at least less than positive) reviews for new businesses, but I’m afraid I simply can’t give them more than three stars. We first saw B Hot’s TV ad while eating at a Phở restaurant nearby. I was immediately excited as Bo Né is one of my favorite Vietnamese dishes. For those of you who don’t know, Bo Né(literally means«beef dodge») is essentially Vietnamese steak & eggs. It comes with beef cubes, not unlike Bo Luc Lac, eggs, fries all on a sizzling plate and also a side salad and bread. I first had this dish at Phở 24 and instantly fell in love. B Hot’s menu is very straight-forward, you either get the Bo Né or the Bo Cay(literally«beef spicy»). Bo Cay is a spicy beef soup that reminds me of a mix of curry and Bun Bo Hue’s soup. It also comes with either vermicelli or bread. Since it me and my wife’s first time there, we ordered one of each and unfortunately both were rather disappointing, especially considering that’s how they have. Instead of beef cubes, the Bo Né actually came with a piece of steak. It wasn’t bad but not great either. The whole portion was small compared to Phở 24 even though it’s cheaper too(although not by much). Overall, I feel I get a better value and quality at Phở 24. Bo Cay was spicy, but not overly so. Like Bo Né, it wasn’t bad but nothing I would ever crave. I hope they either improve their dishes or have more offerings in the future. I hope they don’t go out of business like the bakery which used to occupy the space they are currently in.
