Don’t do any contract with Bally’s. I used to go the the Rice Village location, and signed a 3-year contract for ~500USD, because I loved the place — especially the swimming pool -, and the people that I visited more frequently than any other parts of the gym). It was close to my place and work, so was a total win. Then about 6 – 7 months later they closed it down. I called to cancel my membership, but they said because I have another Bally’s location within 25 miles, they cannot give any refund(note here that it took DAYS to contact anyone, and finally when a living person answered the phone, they transferred me, got disconnected, etc.). So went to this new location, and did not like it whatsoever. No swimming pool(which was the major reason why I went to Bally’s at Rice Village first place), much less equipment and much less opportunities. I registered at one of their competitors, and go month by month(more expensive, but having a pool open all day). The icing on the cake is that once the 3-year membership date passed, not only they sent me the paperwork to renew the contract, but they put on my credit history that I owe them!!! Do a favor to yourself: forget Bally’s.

Getting it in! Spinning. Cardio. Ab work. Working off lunch at The Cheesecake Factory. Getting my Good Friday workout on. Best time is early on a weekend. Great no-nonsense workout. Now I can commence with pigging out for Superbowl Sunday.
