Baskin Robbins

Baskin Robbins 31 has been here since the beginning of time… or at least since this area was built~ It’s a tiny little shop on the corner of the plaza with Kroger, but the location is big on serving up classic ice cream flavors as well as more interesting flavors.
They had 3 cases of flavors, so I’m guessing 31 flavors, some discrepancies bordering on the line of silly– there was «Birthday Cake,» «Birthday Cake Batter,» and «Birthday Cake Icing!» Gotta give them credit though; all of them tasted slightly different :) The workers there seemed like high school students, and they were really nice about telling me about the flavors and offering samples.
I stuck with my favorite: Cookies & Cream. It was creamy and thick, had plenty of moist cookie pieces, and didn’t melt too quickly. I like Baskin Robbins better than Ben & Jerry’s.
There is an area where you can mix in sprinkles, candies, and other goodies with your ice cream. A refrigerator with to-​go pints, ice cream cakes, and ice cream cookie sandwiches to take back lines the back wall. I’ve never seen this place full, but the wall seats and one table together seem like they can fit ten ice cream fans.
Stop by and try some ice cream!

It is not Cold Stone.
It is not the old TCBY further down the road which is now a Goodwill storefront.
It is not Ben & Jerry’s.
It is not Paciugo.
But on a hot day they have cold stuff. That is really all. The quality is the same as a bucket of ice cream you can buy at the supermarket. There are no amazing unique twists this chain or this store do — they are content just serving their Blue Bell — and they will not sing and dance for a tip like they will at Cold Stone.

I LOVE BASKIN ROBBINS! I love ice cream in general and have been to a billion ice cream places. However, I am still loyal to Baskin Robbins. Their flavors are delicious and service is great! My favorite flavor is Lemon Custard. Don’t be fooled if you don’t see it out on display. Ask for it! They keep this gem hidden in the back! It won’t disappoint!
