Basu Plastic Surgery

I am shocked to see anything less than stellar reviews for Dr. Basu Plastic Surgery. His beautiful staff always greets me with friendly smiles and Keurig hazelnut coffee. I’ve researched several plastic surgeons in Houston area (because I’m an extreme perfectionist) and was relieved when I found Dr. Basu. He was very thorough with his explanations, costs, and downtime predictions. Being in the health care profession myself, I left no stones unturned before I decided to have my mommy make-​over. One of the best features included in his medical center office is a well-​equipped day surgery table, which saved tons of money on my anesthesia and hospital OR rental. Also, being a figure bodybuilding competitor, I want to look my best when I’m on stage, competing with the best. Dr. Basu and his staff were aware of my goals and were able to help me achieve it. Now, going to the office for my occasional botox is a special treat to myself, like going for my nail or hair appointment, each time knowing that I’ll look and feel better afterwards. I would highly recommend Dr. Basu to all my fitness minded friends and every women who’s been seriously thinking of reshaping her body to look the way you feel – and that’s fabulous!

I wouldn’t go to this plastic surgeon if he was the last plastic surgeon on the planet. He is dishonest re: his experience. I also witnessed the disrespect he has for his office staff and have noticed that he goes through office staff which tells you a lot about a doctor and his management. If I could give him one point on one star that is what he deserves. Thanks but no thanks, thankfully Houston has some really good plastic surgeons and we all have a choice.

Dr. Basu and his team were fantastic! I did a lot of research to pick the best surgeon for me. I needed someone that made me feel comfortable and didn’t intimidate me. His staff was so helpful and sweet, and Dr. Basu spent as much time with me as needed to ensure I didn’t have any questions left after the visit. He did my tummy tuck in December, and it was so worth it. He kept my pain well managed. I was able to walk before I even left the recovery room. His office in the medical center is amazing, too. It’s nice to have an OR in the office so you aren’t in the recovery room with other people who may be sick or having problems recovering. This was a very pleasant experience and I highly recommend Dr. Basu to anyone looking for any sort of plastic surgery! Second to none!

I’m a mother of 2 little girls 3 and 1 ½ and it left me with an excessive amount of belly fat and skin. I just wasn’t comfortable any longer and made the decision I would have a tummy tuck. I went on two consultations and after researching and doing my homework I chose Dr Basu and his team. He had all the credentials a surgeon should have and then some. You really couldn’t ask for a more qualified professional. From the initial consultation he treated me as an individual and was very thorough in his assessment of my body. Scheduling was a breeze. I am 4 days post op a full extended tummy tuck with lipo in the waist. Results are astonishing!!! I would recommend Dr Basu and his team to anyone for any plastic or cosmetic procedure. I could have gotten the job down in sugar land for almost 3k cheaper… But y? I made the best choice and HE is one of Houston’s Top Doctors for a reason!!! Nurses and I communicated via email constantly with any questions or concerns I had. If the nurse didn’t have the answer right away she got the answers from the source. Just ok… I prepurchased Botox at my first appointment. I had a hard time getting ahold if someone to schedule an appointment to use the rest of it before it expired. I’ve been getting Botox for several years. One of the areas I’ve gotten it is in the «orange peel» the nurse said that she didn’t feel comfortable injecting there. I’m not quite sure what that means… I’m not sure if she hadn’t done it before and didn’t know how or what? I’ve always had great results… I’ve gotten botox in that area for the past 3 years. I had to use what I already purchased so I suggested my lips but no to that too. I ended up getting some units in my crows feet. She didn’t use all of the units I had prepurchased so those were lost. It wasn’t a bad experience but it wasn’t what I was looking for and not enough to make me return. I have a dr in Katy that usually does my botox so I’ll be staying with them.
