This was my first introduction to Belizean food. I had a veggie plate. I don’t even think it was on the menu but the owner Ms. Raimy was very accomodating. I drove almost an hour from Hobby Airport to go out there there . I had rice and beans, salad, and plantains. The best part is that it was on a real plate. I’ve told countless people about this place. The food was very flavorful, not spicy and I enjoyed the Soca music in the background . I wanted to get up and start dancing but I didn’t want to embarrass myself. LOL I will be back.

Found this gem after an appointment I had in the area. I am always up for trying new dishes. I was greeted by a very welcoming lady who turned out to be the owner. When I asked for recommendations she suggested the Pork Chop or Fried Fish, I went with the fish. For about $ 11 I had a large serving of fish, rice & beans, and salad. The fish was cooked to a crispy perfection and had lots of flavor. The rice and beans were simple yet filling and delicious. I highly suggest the food if you are ever in the area.

Belize 1st Island Kitchen was my first food truck experience in Katy. I only stumbled across them because of seeing them prominently on my Groupon app! The location is not a problem to get to, and the staff of one, is really nice. Since this is a food truck, there really isn’t much to speak about in regards to décor. Bruh, it’s a short metal hut that I am sure is extremely hot inside at times! Food wise, if you have eaten with me, you would know that I am not a person that goes anywhere to eat rice and beans. I have eaten that enough growing up, and I rather not eat them if I have a choice. If have found that Mexican and Island food has rice and beans as a staple of darn near every meal! Alas, this is food life living in Texas! Outside of the rice and beans that I refuse to judge, the meats that I have had, fish and chicken, were seasoned well. The food almost tasted healthy, and probably was in the grand scheme of things. I would not mind eating this every now and then, but since it does taste healthy, along with decent flavor, I would not run to this place! When I eat my meals, I want to feel as though I am doing badly! All in all the pricing is okay, the small dessert that I tried, coconut pie, was okay and the service was okay. They get an extra star for being the only Belize spot that I have ever heard of in Katy.

Fantastic, authentic food from the Caribbean. My favorites are the tamales and chicken(bathed in a coconut sauce). A family owned business. All the food is homemade, pastries too. She even imports some of her ingredients directly from Belize. Nothing but the best! They haven’t been open for very long but the food is first class and very affordable. Don’t be put back by the trailer. It’s clean and everything is really homemade! Even the hot sauce. Will go back many, many times!
