So, this is the best idea ever. Lol this is a former barn car repair garage that has been turned into a full service drive– in/thru liquor store. Pull up, say what you need, and the guy(drink runner) takes your money or card, finds your poison and rings it up… all while you are chilled in the car… in the drive thru… inside the barn… smh. I’ll say this again… this is the BEST idea EVER!

Let me first send a shout out to the man who was unfortunate enough to have to be my «drink runner.» I ran that little man to death. Felt like I should have gave him a tip or something but there wasn’t a tip line on the credit card receipt. Now I’ve heard and been to the DMV’s version of a «drive-through» liquor store but they had the feel of a fast food place where you drive up outside. Beverage Barn you literally drive into and surrounding you on BOTH sides are all kinds of liquor and beers INALLSIZES! I felt like I was on «Supermarket Sweep» as I was slow rolling through the Barn. The prices are standard as well-even though one would think they’d upcharge a tiny bit to accommodate for the beverage runners but my purchase was pleasingly priced!

I was super weirded out by this place. I have never been to a drive thru liquor store. However, upon deciding to go in the drive thru, it was a pleasant experience. I was attended to by someone sitting at the drive thru and my liquor was delivered quickly. I’m not sure if I’ll return but it was a different and pleasant experience.

I love this place. Drive through super easy friendly employees. A treasure of alcohol for the seeking, alcohol needy college students. I LOVEYOUBEVERAGEBARN. #texaspride

I cannot not rate a place where you’re able to literally drive in, order what you’d like, and 3 minutes later, drive out… convenient! And yes, the slushies are really quite good. It’s a slushie mix that you can add your choice of alcohol too… again, love that you choose. Get your list ready before you arrive… it is a drive through and there will be cars behind you ready to leave as well… with a list though, you’re set and no hassles for anyone!

Went across town to get my co2 tank refilled. After there website so proudly claims they fill tanks of all sizes my 20oz tank was deemed too small. After that they told me they didn’t carry the gin I was staring at and had to insist before they would sell it to me. On the up side of your underage I really don’t think they card.

This is a very interesting concept, and coming from the land of drive-thru Daiquiri places(southern Louisiana) I had to give this place a shot. So it wins on novelty — two-lane drive thru with employees running your selection of liquor, wine or beer to you, so all you do is sit in your car. However, it loses in most other categories unfortunately. Half of their inventory is dusty(I guess that can’t be surprising in an open air location and idling cars) and you pay convenient store prices for most(i.e. about a 10−15% mark-up from your Specs or grocery store). To put it in perspective, we bought a 6-pack of St. Arnold’s, a bottle of Republic Tequila and a pack of cigarettes, and the total came to just shy of $ 60. This would be a great place to go in a pinch for a wider selection of beer than you would find in a gas station, but if you can make it to Specs, go there, my friend.

Okay… so i like to take my pup with me everywhere I go because he is a spoiled 9 year old dog! I was starvin like marvin so I went to a drive thru nearby and then decided to pick up some liquor too. My pup happened to be with me and I did not want to leave him in the car while I shopped at Spec’s because y’all know how the heat can be in Houston… eeeeeck. Anywhoosers, I drove to the Beverage Barn, pulled up to one of the driveways and was greeted by a nice employee. I told him what I needed, he told the asian dude at the counter what I was getting and they rang me up, I paid them and was out in a matter of minutes… How conveeeeeeenient! The prices at this place is a tad more expensive, but obviously the expensiveness is for the convenience. I know. sad that I have to go to a drive thru for alcohol!!! Well, that’ll be another story!

I know they have several of these barn style liquor stores in other places in TX. I’d been to one in Austin and College Station and thought they were cool as hell. There’s no better place to buy kegs in Houston. Spec’s in midtown is about the only other consistent place that I know of that has a good selection of kegs, but it’s such a ridiculous process there. They have everything you could need at good prices with good service. If you need kegs, buy them here, unless you feel like standing around for 45 minutes trying to wave down someone at Spec’s to get you a keg who has no idea what’s in stock or what the prices for kegs are. Don’t get me wrong, Spec’s is alright, but when it comes to buying kegs, Beverage Barn is tops! Cheers, Dave
