I can confirm Sarah’s review. I’ve been using this auto shop almost exclusively since 1996. When I try other places I immediately return to this shop. We now live in Pearland, and I still use them. Sent one of my friends there because she thought she had a problem with her alternator. They did several test drives, then told her the alternator (and car) were fine. They topped off one low fluid, then sent her home. Cost: $ 0! They have been honest, reasonably priced, and will look again at problems that you think are not fixed. Had a Toyota Corolla with squeaky breaks, brought the car in three times and was told each time that the breaks were fine – they squeak because the Toyota break pads have metal filings in them that make the noise. The quality of repairs has been excellent, they will recommend fixing other problems (worn tires on my last visit), but they don’t pressure you into making the repairs at their shop. Rapheal, the owner of the shop, is wonderful. Some Spanish-​speaking is useful, but not required. I also practice my Spanish when I go to visit. One tip: painting there is expensive because the are normally painting restored antiques, their technique is beautiful, but for my 1999 Corolla was out of my price range.

I REALLY want to like this shop, but I can’t. I’ve gone off and on for years because its so close to home. I have frequently been very disappointed in the quality of their work and unfortunately, sometimes question their integrity. They have been in business for years (over 30?), so obviously they customers, but I would avoid unless you have no other options.

I’m not sure what the other review is about. The owner is the nicest man I know… I’ve had a lot of problems he fixed nearly free of charge. He’s darn near an angel in my books. Speaks mostly Spanish, so it’s also fun to practice.

After reading the great reviews I decided to bring my overheated car to this place. $ 400.00 later they replaced a water pump that had been replaced less than a year earlier. Down the road I overheated brought it back. Guy topped of radiator with water said everything was good. I asked him if maybe the thermostat needed replacing. Guy said it was fine! Said it was impossible for anything else to be wrong. Down the road once more car overheated. Had my mechanic uncle take a look and found couple leaking hoses changed them along with thermostat paid less that $ 100 to fix. Sitting here now thinking not only did they not fix the real issue but most likely paid for a fairly recently put in part that very well was just fine but hey… They got their money! I got to sit on the side of the road for hours in the fun Texas sun! Sounds fair right!!!

The owner tried to hose me on a minor repair of an alternator. I question whether his mechanics are certified.
