My husband’s grandmother is in the hospital, and is 1,000+ miles away. I found Blackshear’s due to their close proximity to the hospital. The lady who took my order was very friendly. I called when they first opened, and the flowers were delivered by noon. I gave her a price range and told her I’d like a colorful spring mix. They did exactly what I wanted and the recipient loved them! Couldn’t be more pleased.

I tried to order flowers for my girlfriend through Blackshear Florist last year. When my girlfriend hadn’t received the flowers by mid afternoon on Valentine’s day I called the florist. I was informed that they were not going to deliver to downtown this year. I will never use this florist again, and I hope I can save someone else from doing the same.

I don’t recommend this florist. Obviously they are way to busy for more business. I called today to order flowers for my best friend which works at the local middle school. I called to see if it was to late to have flowers delivered today. She ask me what I was looking for. I told her, well her favorite color is purple. She said, we would have to go into the cooler & everyone is busy today. I told her thank you & I would call another florist! Wow! Guessing they are rolling in the dough to not need a new customer. Don’t waste your time with these people. If I could give them a negative star I would. How ever I did find a great florist down the road. Which I will be Unilocaling next.

I grew up in North Shore and remember fondly of Blackshear’s making our homecoming mums and prom and dance corsages.
When I wanted to get some flowers delivered in the area, I immediately thought of them. I called and spoke with Angel who was so personable and sweet on the phone. She got everything set up quick and easy over the phone.
I’d ordered the flowers around 12:30ish and they were promptly delivered around 3pm. It was a nice spring mix arrangement but nothing to exciting. The customer service that Angel gave along with the prompt delivery is definitely the big winner here.

I called late in the day before I absolutely needed flowers delivered for my Mom’s Birthday, only on the basis I mapped this location was close to her work. The employee who answered the phone was kind and knowledgeable both about the selection of flowers they had (which were a lot) and delivery estimation.
End result the flowers arrived right at the time she said they would, and apparently looked just like I had been promised! I will definitely call on Blackshear’s for all my Houston flower needs.
