Paid a lot of money for a wedding photo «restoration». Turns out the method practiced here is that they paint a reasonable facsimile by hand. The result in my opinion, was two people who only looked similar to the original couple.
They charge $ 7.50 ea to scan a photo to disk while the industry avg is $ 1.00 or less.
There are services out there using state of the art software to restore and copy photos for a fraction of the prices here. Shop around and do your homework.

Not cheap, by any means.
$ 38 + tax ($ 41.13) for four passport pictures.
Pros: The pictures were very good quality; lit & styled as flatteringly as you can make passport photos.
I have taken plenty of ID & passport pics in my day & these were really nice & flattering. (No easy feat!)
I scheduled an appointment for the photos by phone in advance & was in & out of my sitting in 15 minutes.
Cons: no sense of urgency in developing the pics or contacting me for pick up.
I had to do my own follow up — the phone call I was promised did not materialise, and for the price, I’d expect a call.
To be fair, I wasn’t in a hurry & I indicated that… but still… no follow up call after two full days?
Overall, she does good work; just know you’re paying for nice pictures and not service.
