The rudest and THEEMOST unprofessional buisness ever, fatima is sweet and a good braider besides her and one other one forget her name just rude. i’m an excellent tipper, these girls are so loud and the place is filthy just filthy, they fight over mirrors combs which you can get at a dollar store by the time u leave there you have a headache and wonder why u went in the first place, shop around trust me there are better places like sister sister on crabb st in sugar land the owner mimi is professional and makes sure her girls are on point, they probably don’t care about reviews but i had 2 say something. i’m a stylist in rice village and my boss would shoot herself b4 she let her buisness run t like this

I have been going there for years and the service was good at times then really bad at my worst times. There are some great braiders there but a lot of them is there just to get paid. My last experience was it for me. I found a braid shop that I absolutely love by the name of Suwa African Braiding. I am very observant so I can avoid that person that can’t braid. But when I tell you they all can braid, I mean it. Long story short, Braid Town is not where it is!!!

I have gone there for the past year. I am very tender headed and the owner will try to give you someone who is light handed, I have never had a problem, the work they do is beautiful, I usually get micro’s and they do last until you have to get a refresh. It depends on the hair you get, if you buy cheap braiding hair your style does not last. I have gotten human hair each time and I’m able to wash and go everything. I will agree that they do speak in their native language the whole time, but as long as I get what I want it doesn’t matter. If you take a picture they will reproduce for you.

Horrible experience!!! I got there by 9am because I called and made an appointment for treebraids. The braider was not there. she arrived an hour later. And proceeded to first pull the hair through her lips. Yes… I said lips. When I asked if she could figure out a better way to do it. she said no and I promptly left. Bad customer service and unsanitary. Please do yourself a favor and stay away.

As everyone has stated; the braids are great, but the attitudes, unprofessional and extremely loud talking and lack of deodorant will just about drive any sane person up a wall. They did not have the color hair that I needed so they insisted that I run all over the southwest side of Houston trying to accommodate them instead of sending one of their workers while they started on my hair. By the way, I called and they told me that they had the hair. I had already come from Katy. They really need to grow up, utilize deodorant, and stop speaking so loudly in their language, which is unaccomadating and somewhat rude. But what the heck, I guess most of those shops do that.

They did a good job. Please take a picture of what you want done to your hair because I asked for one style and I got something else. So they did have to redo the front on my hair. But if I had taken a picture of the style I wanted everything would have went much smoother. I really did like my hair when it was done. I will be going back.

I came in a week prior to getting my hair braided to show a picture of the style I wanted and was quoted a price and told to make an appointment. Get here and then quoted a whole new price annnnnd waited for over an hour for service because only one person of the 15 braiders here does goddess braids. I explain the whole ordeal I went through to get the quote and the lady actually argues with me and walk off saying go talk to management. Thennnn they tax me for the hair which wasn’t included in the price?!! I swear the only reason I didn’t walk out is because I am going out of town in a few hours. Then the argumenative employee tells me next time don’t comb your hair when you come to which I reply baby there will be no next time. Gtfoh

I really wish I could give them 3.5 stars, but since I have to choose, I’d rather give them 4 instead of 3. Can they do braids?: Yes Can do they do braid well?: Yes Will you have more than one person working on you at the same time?: Sometimes They have improved some since the last time I was there(circa 2009). They have far more employees, and the owner is more involved and checks on everyone’s work/progress. They also all share the money — the owner gets it and she divides it among all the employees(at least I think that’s what is happening). That is why they get 4 stars. BUT, I do not like the way the handle customers(i, e, the reason they should only get 3.5 stars): 1. I went in on a Tuesday to try to make an appointment for Saturday. I asked them for pricing for freestyle braids($ 130 and up), and then asked to make an appointment for 9:00AM(when they are supposed to be open) on Saturday. Before leaving, they told me that I didn’t need to make an appointment, just come at 9AM. 2. When I got there on Saturday at 9AM, there were already THREE people in the chairs being worked on, and another 3 people waiting to be serviced! They basically don’t make appointments, and you should probably arrive at 8AM, an hour before they are suppose to open. 3. I waited an hour to be serviced. When I got there, there were only 3 employees there. An hour later, there were about 6 – 7 employees. By Noon, there were 10 – 12 Apparently, the employees trickle in at different times… They are convenient for me, and I do like the way they do braids. But, I don’t care too much for their timing/lack of appointments. I mean, I pay good money to get my braids done, the LEAST you could do is allow me to make an appointment(and keep it)!!
