Brucettes Shoes

Unbelievably disappointed.
It takes a lot for me to give a business a 2 star rating. The several interactions I have had with Brucettes Shoes probably warrants one star.
Years ago, I ordered a pair of shoes through them and after several calls and hoping that the shoes would come in, they never did and then I had to request a refund several times. This was many years ago (over 5) so I thought I’d try it again. I should have learned my lesson the first time.
I have big feet and it’s hard to find girly shoes. I went in, tried on shoes. I was annoyed by the other two store employees who were sitting on a coach playing on their phones with loud music or sounds coming out of them. Very unprofessional, but I just needed shoes. I bought one pair and ordered another. I was told that the shoes would take about 2 weeks to arrive. At 2 weeks, nothing. I call and am told that it would take longer. I wait… nothing. I call, they can’t find my paperwork, then they can. They ask me to give it more time. 4 weeks total and I’ve called numerous times, asked for an update, and was told to just keep waiting. I was told that a message was left on my voicemail (it was not!). I was told I would receive a refund, I did not. I asked for a receipt of the refund and never receive the email. After 4 weeks of this, I finally waited on the phone until the refund was processed and the manager texted me a copy of the receipt.
I didn’t appreciate the run around, the lies (about voicemails and refund that weren’t given), how hard it was to get an honest answer etc…
Oh and by the way, the Clarks that took over 4 weeks to arrive at Brucettes arrived from the actual Clarks store in 8 days.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Shame shame on me. Never again will I patronize Brucettes.

For the comfy and custom shoe lover! Each pair seems to have its own story to tell. The heels are not too high in inches, but the comfort zone is out of its world. The store is rather small in comparison to other chains, but it does have its own flair and peaceful visual layout that’s simple and moreso focused on the shoes.

Great selection of larger women’s sizes at really nice price points. The ginormous cookies and refreshments are a good bonus for patient husbands!

I have a hard-​to-​fit foot (9−½ AA), and am used to encountering a lot of discouragement in shoe shopping. I’m new in town, and was just introduced to Brucettes, and bought two pairs of fabulous-​fitting trendy shoes from the full-​service showroom. This is the place, apparently, for women whose feet need special widths, narrow and wide.
I am sad to think they might be closing this location. Of course there were great discounts for liquidating the store, but dang, we need a place to buy shoes, too! Ordering off the web is not a great option when you’re not a typical size.
