King Daddy Sports is a top Junior Tennis Academy producing some of the best junior players in the state and nation. They have repeatedly trained juniors and retained them throughout their junior careers and propelled them into top Universities around the US such as Columbia, UT, Duke… etc. If you’re a Parent looking for a place for your Junior tennis player to improve and grow this is the right program to put them in. It is important to note that reviews left here should lean more towards King Daddy Sports as a Junior Tennis Academy, and not as much towards the facility(which is still a top notch facility with multiple indoor courts and outdoor courts as well as full gym and basketball court)

It’s more than a tennis club, by far. It’s got a full complement of free weights and machines, a collection of good personal trainers, a decent(not large) array of fitness classes, and a couple of rows of aerobic equipment. It’s also got two pools, one large resort-style outdoor pool with a lifeguard(part time in season), a waterfall, and lots of space for sunbathing. It’s got basketball, tennis, racquetball, and even badminton leagues. It’s got swim lessons for all ages(by an outside company). It’s got babysitting. The upstairs locker rooms are large, with a lounge /TV area, with private showers plus saunas and Jacuzzis. So why only 2 stars? The Jacuzzis are often out of order. The men’s locker room in the indoor pool area is filthy and the shower doesn’t seem to get cleaned much. This is a health hazard. The swim lessons are very popular and I know the instructors are great, but the pool schedule’s never announced, so lap swimmers are often surprised to find their planned workout squeezed out. The equipment could use more regular maintenance. In summary, this facility has a lot for most people, but because the neighborhood has declined and is only now coming back, its revenues have not been enough to support a full renovation. If you want a full featured country club environment at a reasonable cost, this place is fine. If you love tennis, again this club is quite fine. You just have to be patient as the club comes back. Though I don’t know about those men’s showers in the pool area…
