I love everything on the menu, but the dessert is to die for! It’s not on the menu, but if you’re feeling adventurous and ask for it, Chef Rey will bring out his dessert platter. A slice of every cake he has. (Don’t do this with less than 4 people. Slices are big!) The day we, had it, there was chocolate pound cake, regular pound cake, german chocolate cake, strawberry pound cake, turtle cheesecake, oreo cheesecake, NY cheesecake, and italian crème cake. It was HEAVEN! There were 5 of us, and we came no where close to finishing it, so we all had ample doggie bags to take home, and those calories were worth every bite :)

Chef Rey cares about food and he cares about you! Just did his cooking class and learned what goes on in the kitchen behind that gourmet meal. Now we have such respect for how Chef Rey makes sure the best ingredients, temp, and presentation appear on that plate for your enjoyment. Try his Sunday brunch. Make reservations and dine with him soon. You’ll be glad you did!

I was really excited to check out this place to see why Chef Rey has so many celebrity clients, and it really was pretty good.
We came here for the Sunday brunch. The place was nicely decorated with a jazzy and artsy feel to it. It was a smaller place, probably ideal for a more personal and intimate outing without needing to shout for the other people to hear you. The staff here was very courteous. We came under-​dressed since we just finished our morning run, but we did not get any looks at all.
I started with the Black Currant Tea ($ 3), and I was actually a bit surprised that it came out as just hot water and a tea bag for chai black tea. Since it was listed on the menu separately from «Assortment Hot Tea,» I was expecting something special like a brewed tea with their own blend of spices. I got the Chicken and Shrimp ($ 20), which was basically chicken and waffles, but also with shrimps. The chickens were succuluent, and the breading on the chicken was incredible. It had a really nice flavor, light and flakey. The waffles were the softer kind. They were good, but I usually prefer my waffles to have a crunch on the outside instead of just soft and bready. The nice thing was that you could choose to have them either plain or with blueberries or bananas baked in.
A friend got the Chilean Sea Bass ($ 26). It looked and tasted incredible. The dish came out as two pieces of sea bass, one sitting on top of the Florentine risotto and the other on top of the «California Blend,» which was a bunch of long julienned vegetables. The sea bass had a very nice sear on the outside, and a good chew to its texture. The parmesan cheese in the risotto really shined through.
The Vegetarian Burger ($ 10) was loaded with a bunch of vegetables, very visually pleasing. This was more of a fork and knife sandwich though. The wheat buns would not have provided enough structural support for holding the sandwich in the hands to eat. It came with a large side of sweet potato fries — awesome with a crunch on the outside.
I think the desserts are supposed to be really good, but I just did not have enough room to try. I went past the point of no return, and ended up finishing my whole portion — STUFFED!
So far kinda a 3.5 stars, rounded up to 4. It was the tea and the soft waffles. I guess I would just have to go back and try more stuff to decide!

So crispy and flaky but still so juicy on the inside. The waffles aren’t too special, but are fine for the dish. Come hungry.
It’s a small place but we had no trouble getting service. And the people are very nice. I felt underdressed coming in shorts but didn’t get any looks or anything.
