I’m from San Antonio where we really love our breakfast tacos, and this place is my favorite taco spot in Houston so far. The tortillas are great, I recommend the Chapel Hill sausage(spicy) with egg and beans, or the bacon & egg tacos. The green salsa is a must! I have tried their flautas and chilaquiles, and neither were my favorite, but the tacos are really worth the trip. Considering the area, I don’t think the price is high.

Awful management! Owner could care less about customers. Didn’t get half our order… owner could care less… even after beung informed if the problem, made me wait while she was on her cell phone for another 15 minutes for a refund.

Pretty solid taco spot. It can be busy at times in the morning, but they usually seem to move the line right through. Never had anything I didn’t enjoy here, so please do explore their menu if you have a chance and aren’t sure about something. Cool to watch it grow some too over the years.

I’ve come to realized that this city has way too many taco spots. This is another one along a long list of just mediocre Tex-Mex. I came here got some basic breakfast along with lunch tacos. Nothing was memorable from the meal. I had the Carne Guisada tacos which are $ 3 each, and my friend had the Chorizo con Huevo which were also $ 3 each. There are much better taco options in town and some for much less money too.

Got my order wrong. Took away my food without asking. Refunded me in cash when I ordered with a card. Also ordered and my friend got their food 15 minutes later. Terrible customer service

I am updating my review for a couple of reasons… While I still think their tacos are amazing, I have a few complaints. 1.) Their service has gotten pretty terrible. They are not friendly and seem like they do not like being there. 2.) My order is wrong about half the time, to which, the staff always seems very annoyed with having to correct. 3.) I used to love getting their chips and queso, but lately they have really started skimping on the chips(which the quality has gone down on as well) and they won’t give you more chips for free even when they skimped out the first time around. I still think their breakfast tacos are phenomenal, but the quality of the service has just really gone down. Maybe because they are now open for dinner they are spread a bit more thin, but I am really hoping they turn it around soon.

The inside was very nice compared to the outside which is very welcoming The breakfast was ok to me. I’m a health nut who likes portions and I had way too much eggs and cheese as no beans. The flour shell was delicious and very homemade.

Tacos are good but I’m a coffee person and for being a breakfast spot they should have better coffee, lattes etc. So experience wasn’t that great. Patio/Bar in the Back is cool. Fiancé wanted to watch the football game on a Sunday without the loudness of a regular bar.

This is my new favorite breakfast spot. They have wonderful green chilaquiles that I dream about sometimes. I’ve also had the chorizo and egg plate and really loved that too. In addition to the wonderful food, the bar area is adorable. There are some rustic chandeliers hung and there are quite a few TVs, which makes for a great Sunday brunch watching the Texans game.

Just last week my husband and I decide to make the drive to Chilosos to have breakfast… They serve very tasty breakfast tacos here. I can honestly say it’s my favorite place to eat breakfast however I was disgusted after I made a quick trip to the restroom to wash my hands only to find roach crawling on the wall. Please Chilosos get this problem fixed I love this place.

The architecture and layout of the place is nice, especially for an old house type building. The food is good. I’d come back again but I feel like it’s prices don’t really match the quality.

I read a few reviews where they were rude, but we had just the opposite experience. Friendly staff, very attentive and great food!!! We will be back for sure.

This place gets wonky reviews, but I’ve never had a bad experience. Don’t let the other reviews deter you. The tacos are always great and I love their homemade tortillas. I’ve ordered for pick up a couple times and never had to wait. The chorizo egg and cheese taco is bomb and their chips and queso is pretty good as well. I’ve never had a bad experience with customer service and I’ve seen the boss lady walk around the restaurant to make sure everything is fine. This place is dangerously close to my home, so I have to keep my visits limited.

I loved this place for years, but it’s finally become too much to ignore how rude the cashiers are becoming continuously. They screw up your order and do not apologize, even when they aren’t busy. They are slow, so I always called ahead to make up for this. Now you can’t do this without having your order messed up and being rude to. There are other places that are good too. Now I will just go to Torchy’s or to some of the other taco trucks nearby. Chilosos is always advertising for cashier help on the front. Maybe they should separate cashier from the order area. One person takes the order and the other checks people out. It would be more efficient. I’ve worked in kitchens for a long time. There kitchen needs to have more products prepared and ready to go. When the food is good, people will put up with slowness. But, when the service is bad too, patience can become thin. Be careful and don’t rest on your laurels. There is other competition out there who will swallow you up quickly.

This place is awesome! I went here after spin at ride. The breakfast taco with eggs and potatoes was so good. I added the salsa at the table for more flavor. I also got their popular carne taco with beans. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating as well as fast service. Tons of parking and they accept credit card. My friend got the fajitas and she said they were good. My meal two tacos was under $ 7! What a steal! Make sure you check in for free chips salsa and queso!

Like many others have said, the vibe here is great! It definitely is a charming taco joint in the heart of The Heights. Unfortunately, the tacos are, at best, middle of the road. The tortillas are great, but other than that, the ingredients and spices seem ordinary. Even the Salsa Verde did not move me. Nonetheless, the service was fast, friendly, and the place had ample seating. If you’re in the area and looking for tacos, it’s worth it to check this place out.
