I got a color, cut and blowdry the first time I came here and I left completely happy with both the place and the job my stylist did on my hair. The place is really nice, clean and laid back. The lady who washed my hair was super friendly. My stylist was nice and she nailed the exact color that I wanted for my hair. Overall great experience and they are located in a low-​traffic, nice part of town. I got out of there for $ 180 (including tip). Don’t forget to bring cash for the tip!

So most girls can appreciate what its like to find a new hair stylist and how frustrating it can be… That was me since I’ve been in Houston. Someone recommended this place to me, to a specific stylist so I figured I’d give it a shot.
I went in for a cut and color yesterday. the overall atmosphere was pretty laid back. It was very clean, and not crazy loud like some of those crazy trendy hair salons. You could tell that most of the ladies there had been coming to get their hair done there for a while, they were also of a little older crowd, so I got a little bit nervous…
I met the lady I had an appointment with right on time, and she was great! She was one of those ladies who had been doing hair for almost 30 years, but has been able to keep up with the newest styles and trends. I wasnt very good at telling her how I wanted my hair, but she really listened and worked with me.
My color turned out great… She was able to cover some crazy stuff my last stylist had done, and the cut was even better! I have really really thick hair and a lot of hairdressers get sick of doing it halfway through. She was really patient and paid a lot of attention to detail. Got out of there for around $ 160… cut, color, blowdry, the whole nine yards… and like I said, I have long, thick hair… So it may have been more for that reason, but I think it was VERY fairly priced. I WILL go back here again, I think I may have found my new hair dresser! :)
One note: They accept credit cards, but you can’t put the tip on the credit card

I got a new haircut today and although I love my usual girl, DeAnn, she was booked up through the entire month of May and I just can’t wait that long. Today I had my hair done at Christiane’s by a gal named Stephanie. Stephanie had cool tattoos and great red hair. (I find it a sure red flag when a hair dresser does not have good hair themselves.) I really like what she did with my hair. It is just hip enough that I don’t feel like an old lady while still being lady-​like or conservative enough that the West U mommies won’t start ostracizing me for being the fruitcake that I am. The salon was very clean and everyone was very nice and attentive. Also, there were very pleasing architectural details in the ceiling. And the décor was nice without being pretentious. The cut and style was competitively priced. I will go back.
