I live over by the Best Buy on Richmond, in a complex that does not allow standard ISPs because it’s a «Walden Internet Village» which no longer has the bandwidth or motivation to compete with modern speeds. I wanted my U-​Verse, but obviously wasn’t allowed to get it.
The leasing office recommended Clear. I saw the reviews, and was skeptical. I’m big on streaming, downloading, and so forth and this would be a step down, especially since I’d be sharing it with my wife. I took the plunge and got the router from Best Buy.
And you know what– it works! Maybe it’s because of my very specific location, but I can get up to 1.0 Mb/​s sometimes. Is it super fast? No. But it works for me, and wasn’t nearly as slow as I’d expected. Installation was easy.
However, I will say that the price is MORE than I had been paying for internet-​only U-​Verse. That’s pretty greedy.

Terrible everything especially customer service. I forced my bank to not allow them to debit my account well before my contract was up… I’m really surprised they haven’t gone under yet.
