Place is closed down! Phone number doesn’t work either. Went in to grab some tacos and its now small place that makes snap type meals. Strange!

Great breakfast plates, love the customer service. Always get good morning or hi thank you for coming today! Plus they let me have ice in my cup for free!!! Best chip’s and quseo !

Awesome renovated restaurant owned/​run by Johnny Hernandez and his wife Julie. Great breakfast tacos, fresh guacamole, Salsa, pico de gallo and tomatillo sauces. We went a second time today, I tried the barbacoa and it was awesome. Only pure barbacoa used here, can’t wait to work my way through the rest of the menu.
This place used to be Taqueria Los Charros and although the breakfast tacos and migas were delicious, inexpensive and huge portions, the restaurant itself was run down and let’s be honest, not very clean. The restrooms were downright scary.
Johnny and Julie have gone top notch with the renovation for the entire place, but especially the restrooms and kitchen. New plumbing, new fixtures in the restrooms and the restaurant looks like a brand new place, which for all intents and purposes, it is. The kitchen is open, if you wanna peek into it, you’re welcome and you’ll see how spotless they keep it.
Johnny is way cool, chief cook and owner and adamant about ingredients and dishes being fresh. Plus the sign at the front door says «Welcome to Coco’s Grill. Where our main ingredient is Peace». All the more reason to love this place!

Stopped in for the first time, and unaware of their hours they were closing up; as I turned around to leave the manager/​owner came out and asked my what did I want to eat, I told him and he went back to the kitchen and made my order fresh. As I waited all the staff was very friendly and welcoming. I remember when this was another business, and I must say, it looks so much better with the remodeling they’ve did inside. The food was great and the portions is plentiful and the customer service I got went above and beyond. Go try out the family owned hidden gem, you won’t be disappointed.

We just tried them for lunch today and were very impressed. We arrived about 30 minutes before close and frankly were a bit hesitant to stay as most steam table restaurants don’t have fresh food at the end of the day. I am glad we stayed.
The place is new, maybe 3 weeks old and that is evident in the eagerness of the staff. They all want to please and I get it! The owner is there and came to the table to make sure we were good.
The food — wow! Beef fajita, carne guisada, red and green carnitas. All of us were wowed at the freshness, flavor, and proper seasoning! If I had one suggestion, start making your own flour tortillas. The meats were all as good as I’ve had anywhere, but a fresh flour tortilla and these meets, this guy will have 10 of these places in 5 years.
If you purport to be into buying local and or supporting mom and pops, then give this place a chance, we will be regulars for breakfast or lunch.

Tried this place for the first time, and I’ll definitely be back often!!! I ordered the Picadillo, and oh my goodness, it’s delicious! Their refried beans have a little chorizo in them and are so flavorful. Yum!

First time trying it. A different experience than Los Cucos. This is a family ran restaurant like Martin tailors is a family ran tailorshop. I recommend you come here for breakfast and taste some authentic Mexican breakfast taco combinations. Also try the fresh water (aguas frescas).

Houston certainly has its fair share of Tex-​Mex eateries, but Coco’s is not to be taken for granted. With a clean environment, friendly staff, and quick service that is only outshines by the quality of the food. (For example, the charro beans, which I thoroughly enjoyed, although I’ve lived my entire life under the impression that I didn’t like them.)The portions are just right, and the owner himself will tell you how meticulously he chose his ingredients. Quality is his priority. Sprinkle on top that the home style flavors that explode in your mouth and leave you begging for more!
