Command Post-Army Surplus

Only called for directions since we wanted to get copies of dog tags of our deceased friend. Samantha (or that’s the name she gave) who answered was so rude it was pretty funny. She wouldn’t help us out and answer what they were located next to or anything. She was groaning on the phone, huge attitude, so angry to give directions. A common question in customer service.

I called earlier and spoke to Lynn who was very kind and helpful but Samantha ruined it all.

Came here in search of green silkies for a suicide awareness march I’m doing soon and this place is massive! They have a bunch of new and used items, but they all are priced the same somehow. They didn’t have what I was looking for, but I did come across some interesting items I didn’t think I’d find again.
The workers weren’t extremely helpful and no one greeted you when coming in. They have an embroidery department for uniform name tags and patches and a huge selection of children’s items including mini uniforms.

i had a similar bad experience as like jojo. the women they have running the registers are ruthless, self serving hags who apparently give «deals» or bad case of «redass» based on what they think of your appearance. i’ve seen scum looking, white trashy women with all the tatts and looking like they just got off 3^rd shift on the street corner being treated like VIPs while people with intelligence, knowledge of what they heck they’re looking at, and even who proudly served their country being treated like garbage.
i was quoted a price on an item one of the women looked up herself and went back to get another item before checkout, then for some reason it’s like the salesperson «decided» i didn’t deserve to buy the item at the price she quoted and she jacked it up because she said that was a «new» color or «rare» (never mind they had literally piles of the exact same item and color as what i had picked up). Then the «manager» bich got involved and made multiple rude comments to me, insulting me in front of other customers, saying i was «begging» because i expected them to honor the price as listed in their own computer!
She continued trying to put me down, hoping i’d back down, give in, give up, and just pay the extra amount. Sadly, we’re talking about an extra $ 2.00!!! You’d think she’d look at all the other stuff i was going to buy and say, «oh, what’s the big deal. we have tons of that item that hasn’t moved because all our s#!t is overpriced anyway for what it is, and it’s better to make $ 12 than lose $ 14 right?» But nooooooooooo, she continued to verbally assault me, literally telling me, «I’m not going to work with you anymore. You’re begging for $ 2 (when i can say she’s the one begging to take it out of my pocket). You’re make a scene (when they were the ones with all the drama over $ 2, i just expected them to be good to their word), and … i kid you not … about what happened next.
I finally was able to checkout due to some generous-​hearted bystander taking pity on the miserably poor salespeople for whom $ 2 means life or death, and the bich manager held me up an additional 8 minutes, claiming she was going to pull up the record from the price lookup on the other woman’s register to «save time» (while i’m standing there with money in hand ready to get the hell out of there).
I even suggested to her it’d be faster to just start fresh transaction on her own register, but nooooooooo she had to wait for the other one, only to find that transaction wasn’t save, so she ended up doing exactly what i had suggested she do before she stole another 10 minutes of my life. Then, she failed to apply the price correctly when she rung it up and she gave me an inflated total to pay! i told her what the total was supposed to be after using a *gasp* calculator. She was pissed i made her look stupid for making such simple process as checking out so damn complicated. You know what she said to me then???
No joke, «Stop thinking!!!»
That says it all when an uneducated, arrogant, rude, insulting bich wants customers to literally «stop thinking», just pay stupid prices, just buy cheap merchandise, just accept whatever injustice we offer, just do whatever we say, just kiss our a$$es, and then everything will be «okay».
Oh, and they really don’t have true surplus anymore. It’s all straight retail merchandising now. You can buy a cheap Mexican made machete for $ 60. Or tactical boots at $ 35 above even standard retail. Or pay $ 26 for 50′ of non-​load-​bearing «parachute cord» that should cost $ 10 and that’s why they have piles and piles of the same items all over the place. Well, they can sell you an Israeli M40 gas mask overpriced and along with filters that are severely outdated by decades (but that doesn’t stop «Commode Post» from selling you a vital piece of emergency/​tactical equipment that will fail you at a critical moment and quite possibly cost you your life if not damage your lungs from breathing in compromised charcoal particles because the filters, legally and morally, should have been destroyed years ago).
These people seem to exist on nickels and dimes instead of realizing they could make serious money if they:
1. Priced merchandise competitively.
2. Fired all their bich salespeople and staffed the store with knowledgeable staff who’ve had actual mil, law, or other tactical training.
3. Treated customers with respect. After all, without customers the whole operation fails.
I’ll never spend a dime in that store again after being treated so badly, and shame on them because i’ve spent 100s of dollars there a couple of years ago (when they had different salespeople). The only good thing I can say? Keep that POS store in mind when the SHTF and go «shopping» then, but don’t spend any money there now. You’d just be throwing it away.

Had a great selection of various items. Even had the marpat I was looking for. Was dirt cheap aswell.

If you can’t find military gear here, you’re definitely not looking hard enough. The prices of most stuff is pretty good.
Don’t walk in expecting a place with fancy shelving and elevator music! Being in this place is like being at a small, indoor flea market without all the booths. I like it because the staff is nice, it’s loaded with gear and memorabilia from all branches of the military, they have a seamstress on-​site, conceal carry gear, boots, and they have paintball gear here.

Very convenient. This store has the necessity clothes for army and marines. They also offer sewing services.

I was like a kid in a «camo candy store.»
This place is a lot larger than it looked from the outside. They have great military surplus clothing, packs, uniforms, knives and other assorted gear. While I was shopping there were several police and military people that came in for sewing and embroidery on their uniforms, so that seemed to be a big part of their services.
I went home with a camo shirt and cap for my son, and a bright, colorful new US flag to hang in front of my house for ⁹⁄₁₁.

The selection here is excellent and the owner’s a great guy. Unfortuantely, the woman he has running the place is a real scumbag. I purchased a belt that turned out to be frayed around the grommets and which I needed to exchange for a more durable model. She initially agreed and let me go back to get a different belt. When I got back to the front, she accused me of damaging the belt and refused to exchange; I also discovered that, while I was away, she’d ripped off the buckle so that she could accuse me of even further damaging the item! Further still, she refused to get the manager out of the back room for me, which meant I had to go home and call to try and speak with him… Which might have worked if she also weren’t the receptionist! She refused to transfer me to the manager over the phone, coming up with excuses like «I handle the problems» and «He doesn’t want to be bothered.» I finally got to speak with him by coming back to the place when he happened to be out front, but the woman kept lying to him and herself pointed out the missing buckle. He tried to handle the situation fairly but said that he had to take his employee’s word, which I understand. It’s just too bad the employee is a complete liar.

Eventually, the sky WILL fall. In case it does in your lifetime, you might consider the risk of being unprepared as a survivalist. Until Doomsday, paintball assault guns & supplies are big sellers here.
