Super slow when it comes to sitting down with one of the staff. If you can make an appointment I’d do so otherwise you’ll be waiting awhile to speak with someone.

I regret Compass is no longer at the Riverway location and occupying a larger space does not equal competent or improved service. Well meaning and dressed the part, the bankers have no idea how to deal with anything beyond a simple transaction. I have been waiting since the summer to cash in an investment CD. How many bankers does it take and phone call to experts out of state to accomplish this? Lost count. finally cashed it in and it has been a week and no money in my hands. No one knows where it is and the calls and excuses continue. Time to file a complaint with the US Dept. of Treasury. Put your investment elsewhere and avoid the aggravation.

Don’t like that they moved to a enormous building on far too busy post oak, much preferred the old location at 5 Riverway. But change is a constant in life, and was pleased with the service I received prompt and friendly. What I didn’t understand is why there is a 60’s era VW beetle covered in needlepoint art there, it sure is cool, but looks way out of place in a bank lobby. Compass as a whole I wouldn’t recommend, they have the same interesting accounting practices as Bank of America — ie, they are fee happy and love to process debits well before deposits(*wholly unethical). But this location for what’s it worth is pretty nice.
