I suffered a hard drive crash just before Christmas and foolishly didn’t have a backup. I very much needed to recover my data. Paul explained the process, gave me the price and time estimates. He delivered the recovered data (almost all data was recovered) for the expected price and in the expected time frame. We also worked out a good backup system and strategy for a very reasonable price.
All in all, this was a good experience. I got excellent value, learned quite a bit and I’m well prepared for the next time my hard drive crashes.

These guys sucked! Computer wouldn’t boot even to the BIOS. I knew 95% it was the power supply or the Mobo.
Get there, no greeting… no «be with you in a bit». After 10 minutes the guy points «put the computer over there.» Ok…
No phone call after 24 hours telling me what the diagnosis was.
Finally just went went back and picked it up. Asked if they maybe have fixed it already. Answer? You wanted to pick it up «as-​is, right?» What an a-​hole. Went to Microcenter, the guy knew immediately what it probably was, plugged his tool in and within 30 SECONDS (I timed it) says it’s your power supply and shows me the meter. NO CHARGE. They sold me a $ 89 power supply which I put in myself. OK… still not working. I drive back over there, the guy looks at it and in ANOTHER thirty seconds says «you placed these two wires wrong». Done. Free.
GO TO Microcenter… they’ll diagnose it for free and they are REALLY good. They used to suck. Since they moved they beefed up their staff BIG TIME. Blown away!
EDTE: Perfect example of a great businessman this owner is… read his comment below. Instead of a «I’m sorry you felt that way» or some sort of Mia Copa, he flames me and says I acted like an asshole. Really? I was very polite the entire time. It should have flagged me when his wife wrote a fake review and he got busted for it… read the reviews. This guy is a poor excuse for a business owner.

I broke my phone. But I’m so love to use it, and there’s a lot of personal things that I decided to have it repaired.
The boys did everything at the highest level. The price is also affordable.

Just an update to my earlier review: there’s really no reason to go anywhere other than here for all your computer needs. They’ve saved me from potential data loss disasters and today they hooked me up with a great new reasonably priced laptop. They didn’t have the exact one I needed, so the manager called his inventory guy and I had what I needed the same day.

Management cares about this business and wants its customers to be happy with their experience.

Amazing and trustworthy staff. Quick turnaround and honored the original quoted price! I hope not to have many computer issues in the future, but if I do, I know who I’ll trust to save the day!

Super fast fixing my 3 laptops with various problems. One had ransomeware infection, the other failing hard drive and last one so old and clunky would barely work. Eric took the time to diagnose my issues and offer cost effective solutions to my problems. I dropped the laptops off on a Friday and they were ready on Monday. Jason offered me good advice on checkout and showed me how to use Windows 10 and Firefox. I am so happy to have my main laptop and spare back in prime condition. I have recommended Computer Hospital already to friends, neighbors and family. They will certainly have my business in the future.

I’ve been meaning to write this review forever. This is THE BEST PLACE EVER to take your computer. I fried an external hard drive with 20K photos on it. The tears. I was told by TWO data recovery specialists that they could not retrieve anything. I was told I could send it off to another place and the recovery would cost 1,000−3,000 bucks. I thought about it for a few months and then discovered The COmputer Hospital. I took my drive there, and they GOT.EVERY.SINGLE.PHOTO.BACK. The best part? $ 200. flat. Who does that!!! These guys!!! My photos were perfect. The service was wonderful – they were fast (1 week or less for those photos), they were polite, they were patient as they sat with me and showed me how to sort my photos and find the specific ones I wanted. Twice. They wrote it down for me, too. They set me up with livedrive backups. They set me up with 90 day free service, and remoted in while I sat at home to fix an issue I was having with Chrome. They got me Bitdefender firewall, and have been THE BEST COMPANY I HAVE EVER FOUND for computer repair. Absolutely fabulous rock star quality.

These guys are very professional. Changed a laptop from Win 8 to Win 7 in German for an employee headed back to Frankfurt and did in two days, all data backed up. Helping now with outdated Microsoft Server 2003. Peter /​Alyson Jon Interiors

Really glad I called these guys when my computer had a blue screen (that is a really bad thing). The hard drive was bad but they were still able to recover my data and transfer it to a new lap top for a reasonable price.

This place is awesome! Its Sunday afternoon; my computer was completely nonfunctional and had been for a couple days — just would continuously flash «Vaio» and the screen would turn black. I thought it was a goner. Thanks to Unilocalers I found the Computer Hospital and they are even open on Sundays. I walked in and a very nice technician took over and within 10 minutes of working the system he had it back in working order! He also recommended some free programs to download that would help me avoid the problems in the future. The cost? $ 0.00! It doesn’t get better than this folks. I will use them for any computer issues and am so glad to have found them. Thanks Computer Hospital!

I recently had a problem when my office 2011 stopped opening up on my macbook pro. I am a physician so I decided to get the problem solved at the computer hospital. The drop off was fine, and the staff stated that needed 2 days to fix it. Problem 1 was that I never received a status update of any kind. I had to call to see what they were doing. The person on the phone said they were installing and uninstalling office until the applications open. I was astonished because I could have done this at home, and I did before I took my laptop to them. So day 2 arrives and still no call so I decide to get my computer no matter what. The person working the door was unprofessional in his demeanor, but that is oaky as long as the job gets done. But, the job was not done. My computer was still broke, thus I just took it home. I read on a few forums, and after several steps I reinstalled Mac OS Lion. To my amazement the reinstall worked and now all is good. So a computer illiterate was able to fix what the Computer Hospital could not! I hope this helps, but if you have a Mac go somewhere else.

So I took my computer to the midtown location because I was having major malware issues. I was able to get a free estimate (something BestBuy-​Geek Squad was trying to charge me like $ 100 bucks for and I already knew what the issue was). So I was already happy that they were able to look it over and confirm the issue. Me and the tech that were there went over both options for someone with malware issues and which was most cost effective for my budget. I ended up going forward and letting them do a clean wipe and update of my system. I was able to get my system back in 24 hours and I even got a follow up phone call 48 hours later to make sure that everything was okay. My computer processor works even faster, no malware issues, and the customer service was great. Most importantly I saved a cost difference of $ 180.00 by going to them and not Best Buy!!! Definitely would recommend them to anyone on a reasonable budget looking for quality computer work done!

Thank you Unilocalers for recommending this place! My computer suddenly stopped powering on, precisely when I needed it… figures. I called first to make an appointment, but the nice man told me they take walk-​ins.
The same day I brought it in and he diagnosed it in about 5 minutes as being a power supply problem (what I had hoped), and had me wait while they fixed it right away. Overall it only cost me $ 110 and about 30 minutes of my time. The guys were all very nice and helpful, and I will be returning should I experience any more computer tragedies.

Pleasant, knowledgeable, and fair. My Dell XPS stopped «seeing» my mouse and after spending an hour trying to diagnose myself, I called Computer Hospital. This was a Saturday morning, they said bring it in and they’ll have a look while I wait. So I brought it in and Eric was there and listened to what I said and went right to the problem, found a corrupted driver, reinstalled it, tested it with my mouse and wished me well — no charge. This is the 4^th or 5^th time I’ve been to see these guys and the experience has always been great (although I did pay for services the other times). They’ve earned 5 stars.

I’ve been very happy with the service I’ve received here. I end up bringing my computer in a couple times a year to clean it up when its starts bogging down from adware/​viruses or when I get the dreaded blue screen. They have been timely and have had my computer ready in a day or so.

Pay close attention to what you are signing on the initial check in sheet !!! Otherwise you will pay for thing you don’t authorize for !!
I brought my laptop to figure out why it is slowing down. James said he will run a complimentary diagnostic screening. He said he will call in 24 – 48 to explain what the problem. He clearly said he is not going to do anything before he gives me the call.
Apparently, he installed the Windows and called to inform me that the computer is ready to pick up.
When I asked why I was not called to authorize the procedure, James said that since I already initialed and signed the sheet, then they don’t have to call.
James completely and surprisingly denied that he ever said he would call me to explain what the defect was. He even denied saying he was going to run a complementary diagnostic screening test. He kept saying that he has a proof that I signed the initial sheet !
Eventually, instead of charging me 79.99, he charged me 50 $.
I kept saying, and I say that again and again, it is not about the money ! When you tell me you are going to run a free diagnostic screening test and get me to initial on that, of course I will initial and sign because I trust what you tell me. I didn’t read what the sheet says because I simply, and stupidly, trusted what you SAID.
The other guys in the office, including the manager Paul, are very respectful and professional. I have used this place in the past. One of the reason I returned back is that every single step was authorized by me before it was proceeded. In fact, that was one of the reason why I signed the sheet this time because that what exactly happen the first time, I was called for every single step !
James kept denying that he said he will run a complementary screening test and kept saying that is not true; making me feel like I was lying ! I thought that was very disrespectful.
I have posted a picture of the initial check in form. You clearly can see that he was going to run an initial diagnostic test (look next to the initial fee, it says «after diag»). I even showed that to Paul when I was checking out, and Paul went just speechless !
James said he has been doing this for ~30 years; which makes me wonder if you are that experienced, why did you say you were going to run a complementary screening test and call me to authorize the reboot if you knew you were going to just run it without my authorization. Did you just forget what you said? Or you were planning to charge me for your «free complimentary screening» regardless !?
Bottom line is :
the office technicians and manager are professional. The work gets done in a reasonable time. My advice is to pay close attention to what you sign and initial on the check in sheet and make sure there is not estimated cost on it. Don’t just listen to what they say. Regardless of what they SAY, they will just go by what you sign for !!.Your word, trust and satisfaction is likely not one of James priorities.

I have brought my laptops to Computer Hospital for years. CH has consistently fixed my problems in a timely manner, from replacing a fan to transferring files from an old computer to a new one to mysterious software issues to getting the DVD writer to work.
The charges are always reasonable, too.
I just had a great service experience with the very capable Matthew — ask for him!

I’m very satisfied with the service I received from the computer hospital. The guys were friendly and professional and even stayed late Saturday to get the job done.
My 1.5 yr old hard drive was failing, had a virus and Windows was bugging out so it’s easy to get upset but these guys went the extra mile to solve the problem and offered me a discount on new virus protection. I will use them again.

Brought my computer in to have them figure out why it was failing to power up after I had already run through as much as I knew how (changed PSU, checked things on mobo with a tech, sent in mobo for warranty service). They found a damaged cable that was causing a short. They told me my RAID 0 had been broken and that my options were either to pay them $ 100 to reinstall my operating system (and lose all data) or $ 350 to just get the data from my RAID, both sounded outrageous to me.
I took it home and went into the RAID BIOS, saw that it was still there and had the name I had given it, changed one setting in the mobo BIOS to tell it to read the array (setting must have been reset during warranty service) and boom computer starts up like normal.
Moral of the story: They are either incompetent or tried to rip me off.
But hey, if you can make sense of my review you probably dont use places like this, do you?
