The rooms are clean. But the airport transportation is poor. It takes 45 minutes to get picked up at the airport and 30 minutes back to the airport.

Four star rating in context of our trip but compared to other Courtyard/Marriott properties, it’s nothing to write home about. +great location in terms of proximity to IAH +free shuttle to and from the airport +easy to book a room(esp last minute) +very nice staff +gave us cheap toothbrushes and toothpaste(and a bottle of water) after we told them we were on a layover and our luggage was lost +free WiFi in room +clean room(we got two doubles instead of a king but I’ll take a clean room any day of the week) –older room/property so the AC unit kept going on and off with a loud thumping sound –nothing much going on in the surrounding area +Pizza Hut delivers here ;-)

Three stars because this Hotel is average. However the Customer Service is outstanding thus far. Check in met with a smile and how was our ride over. Very friendly. Had a lite dinner at the Bistro. Had a flat bread mozzarella and tomato very good, had quesadillas good. Guy behind the counter excellent customer service. The room has an odor to it musty, once the ac cooled the smell dissipated. No luxury here just a nights sleep before hitting the airport but the price was awesome.

I love Marriott and stay over 100 nights a year at Marriott properties so I hate to give a Marriott property less than 3 or 4 stars. With that being said, this Courtyard… even though it is one of the remodeled lobby Courtyards… does not meet Marriott standards. If you ride the shuttle to the airport, they only have one every hour. So that means that if your flight is at 8:30 am, you need to take the 6 am shuttle! Horrible customer service. In my room they had the refrigerator and microwave BETWEEN the desk and the TV, so you couldn’t sit at the desk and watch TV while you worked unless you did a little furniture moving.(Missing the whole concept of the Marriott Courtyard remodel several years ago where Marriott spent big bucks and did extensive studies only to find out what I could have told them if they would have just asked me… businessmen like to sit at their desk and watch TV while they work.) The exercise room has older equipment… Precor so good equipment… just older. My room REEKED of cigarette smoke. The thermostat on the wall had a sign that said the temperature controls were on the window unit… wait…didn’t all of the hotels in America above the level of Motel 6’s move away from window unit thermostats sometime back in the 90’s? The employees were all very friendly… but that doesn’t make up for all of the other issues. Sorry Courtyard… I will have to go back to my normal location.

After a miserable day of traveling and getting stuck in Houston it was so wonderful to be greeted by friendly, helpful staff. Everyone at the Courtyard North went above and beyond(did I mention we got there past midnight bc of flight delays) it meant to much to be greeted with smiling faces and a welcome bag. The lobby was very nice, they had great accommodations & a clean room for our stay. I was very impressed.

We were laid over in Houston and so miserable about it! We ended up here and they recommended dinner at jimmy g’s. WEHAD A BLAST! They had a driver for us, we ate 6 pounds of crawfish and swung by jack in the box for milk shakes. Clean, great service, loved the hotel bartender!

It’s a good hotel for what it is – a competitively-priced airport hotel. On the plus side, it’s not far from IAH at all. It’s convenient to the freeway, and during the daytime, the Greenspoint business district with some dining options. At night, the place becomes deserted and the hunt for food takes you into some suspect neighborhoods. There’s nothing next to the hotel. There aren’t even vending machines — Courtyard has adopted the«market» approach where you buy your products through the front desk. The room was well-appointed with a flat-panel TV and free wifi(big plus in my book). There was also a microwave and fridge, but the fridge didn’t work. The bathroom was fine, aside from some issues with sweeping that housekeeping needs to address. The bed was uncomfortably lumpy. Checkin-in and out was quick and super-friendly.

As far as Courtyard Marriott’s go, compared to others it is about a 3 star. However Yolanda the shuttle driver is a 5 star. She was great and she took me to a really cool restaurant.

Front desk service was good. Hotel itself doesn’t do the Courtyard name justice– not one of their best. Food was decent, but I fought flying bugs all three times I ate in the dining area. Not recommended.

I tried this Courtyard Marriott because my usual location was booked solid. Getting here was pretty easy. The frontage road was torn to pieces and you have to keep your eyes peeled for the turn, but that is hardly their fault. There was plenty of parking in a large semi-private lot and I was able to get a spot right near my room, post check-in. Check in was a snap. The lobby is in the new Courtyard fashion with the Bistro, and the modern furniture. They had my information on file including my Marriott status. All of the Kings were booked(which I am insistent) on, so they upgraded me to the King Suite. Good resolution. The suite itself was nice. It was a little dated and had obviously not seen the upgrades that the lobby aread had. The space itself was really large. Too big for just me actually. The carpet was pretty commercial and oldish and the sofa was dilapidated. The rest was fine. Two nice 32 inch flat screens for movies etc. Over all, the staff was great and the stay was good. I will keep it in my list of places to stay.

I’m Marriott loyal and was looking for a place to stay near the Houston Airport. There are 7 flavors of Marriott within a few miles and I chose this one based on price, proximity, and the fact that they had a continental breakfast and a gym. They’re currently remodeling so parts of the ground floor was blocked off for construction. The continental breakfast wasn’t as big a spread as I’m used to, but I was happy to take a frozen breakfast sandwich to microwave(english muffin, egg white, sausage), some coffee, and a cereal bar to go. The gym was fairly disappointing and seemed a bit below normal Courtyard standards. There were 2 older treadmills, another cardio machine, and some free weights. Location: Great. A few miles from the airport Value: Good. Less than the regular Marriott nearby Gym: Okay. Outdated compared to other Marriotts. Tiny pool and spa. Marketplace: Poor. Sparsely stocked Lobby: Under construction Continental breakfast: Okay. very small, but had the basics Room: Standard, older style Service: Good Free Wifi: YES
