Custom Car Cool

Thank God for honest professionals who know what they’re doing!
My mother was having issues with her ac and the first shop she went to told her that her compressor was out, and it would be $ 800 to fix it. After going to custom car cool she learned it was just a loose valve And walked out without spending a dime!!!

One of our cars is an older vehicle that originally had R-​12 refrigerant in the A/​C system. Custom Car Cool was the only shop in our area that had the equipment to help us responsibly evacuate the R12 refrigerant and convert the A/​C system to R134a. During the process, Oscar was very generous with his time, and his prices were extremely reasonable.
Since that first visit, Oscar has been very helpful with a number of A/​C and classic car-​related questions we’ve sent his way. He is a straight-​shooter, and his experience with car-​buying and vehicle restoration has been a valuable resource for us.

Surprised at the earlier review – that’s not the Oscar I know.
I showed up after hours on a Thursday and was disappointed that I wasn’t able to talk to someone – then pops up the owner (Oscar) and we talk for a bit about the work I need done to my car. Oscar’s lead body work guy happened to be there and they were able to assess the damage and give me an estimate. Oscar’s estimated cost was not only reasonable but his work was excellent. I was going out of town and he was able to work with me on drop off/​pick up times. I would definitely recommend Custom Car Cool to any of my friends (and plan to do so).

I brought my car here to have the A/​C diagnosed and fixed. Oscar never called me when he said he would and didn’t seem too concerned with getting the work done quickly. Every day I had to call him, wanting some sort of information on the car. He always said he would call me back, but never did. After my car being in his possession for a week and a half with no information, I decided to get my car back and take it to another shop. He ignored my car completely, and didn’t seem to want to work on it. I guess it was at the very bottom of his to-​do list. Terrible service, he wasted a week and a half of my time, I should have just gone some where else in the first place. Now a week and a half later I’m in the same spot I was when I started, I don’t even know what’s wrong with my car, still.
