I was taken by ambulance to Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center last week. It’s where I prefer to go being so close to where I live. I was in alot of pain. After checking in with the help of the EMT’S, I was taken right away and had the necessary people at my side checking my vitals and preparing me for the necessary tests. I was given something for my pain right away. I’m not used to strong drugs and I felt nervous at first and they assured me I would start feeling better soon. I relaxed and the pain eventually went away. I was taken for different scans and tests and everyone was respectful, kind and gentle. I was admitted and the excellent care continued upstairs in my room. I have nothing but praise for how I was treated and I’m so grateful they are down the street from me. I have had other very positive experiences from the past there also. This is my first review though. I’m so pleased there is a place I can go when I need medical help.

I went to the ER here back March 6, 2015 just to do some follow up X-rays & such after just being in a car accident. Wait time was average. Physicians were okay. Seemed bothered & would rather be doing something else, but that was fine. There was really no severity in my case, so I understood. My main issue with this place is in regards to the billing department. My insurance, by mistake, paid the facility instead of the physicians. I was freaked out when I got a physicians bill for 1300 in July. I call CFMC and they said that I was owed a refund(the money that was supposed to go towards the physicians bill) & it had been just sitting there. At no point did they ever make it seem that they were gonna call me to tell me about the refund. Long story short, my insurance faxed over authorization for them to release the refund directly to me so I could pay my bill. This was around July 9th& they said it would take up to 21 days. 21 days came and went. On Aug. 13th they BARELY verified the authorization that my insurance sent in and said 21 days from that day. It has been 5 weeks since & I’ve yet to receive my refund. I have to constantly call the people listed on the physicians bill to ask for extensions. Every time I call CFMC, they tell me something different in regards to the day I will receive it. Just give the money you owe, fam.

The staff here has been happy, energetic, and compassionate. Every pregnant woman has that one nurse that bothers them but in this case I didn’t. I got prepped for a csection and they were soothing and they talked to me with ease. Had my new baby boy within the hour. All in all I had a great experience, and would recommend this hospital to anyone.
