Had this place bookmarked as a place to try given the high reviews on Unilocal. So my mother and I decided to give it a try one day since we were in the area and our go to spot for seafood(J&J Fish Market) was closed. I ordered the fried shrimp and she ordered a wing plate with a side of shrimp fried rice. The gentleman taking our order seemed a bit annoyed initially but softened up as we got our food asking that we please come back. When we got home and dug in IMMEDIATELY we were disgusted with the taste! Omg I’ve never wanted to spit out food so quickly. The rice was bland and tasted like he used ALOT of fish oil. One spoon and it went in the trash! I tried my shrimp(might I add, all that shrimp and I got ONEPACKETOFTARTARSAUCE) and my mom tried her wings… smh. This was bland over breaded junk and we basically paid about $ 30 to feed my trash can. And I don’t even know why they put«salad» on the plate. I was steamed mush thanks to my hot food. Ended up with Whataburger.

Soooo upon a recent search on google for the best crawfish in Houston, I stumbled upon this place. I was tired of the outrageous prices and the long waits with the other«big name» competitors in Houston. I wanted a place I could run in and run out of. The pic of the crawfish I saw online had my mouth watering so I decided to try it out. I ordered 5lbs of crawfish with house seasoning and extra garlic. They were a very nice size and the price was very competitive at $ 6.99lb. The crawfish had tons of flavor and loads of garlic. It’s not in the best place but for a local«You buy We fry» type place, you get what you pay for. With that said, I would definitely recommend this place to everyone!

I haven’t tried the crawfish here, although I need to with all the great reviews. However, the fried oysters are off the chain. Seriously, after I ate fried oysters here, I started craving them on a regular basis.

Okay, this place doesn’t look like much. You might find yourself wondering what you’re doing here. Can it really be good? ITIS!!! Onward! Order crawfish to go, take it home, and enjoy it with a beer on your own patio. I LOVE their crawfish. Tons o garlic but it really, really works. Definitely not traditional, so if no butter and corn upsets you, go to Rajun Cajun. If you are interested in awesome taste, though, go here. I have never had anything like it, and now I can’t go back. $ 5.99/pound. Two pound minimium. Cash only. No checks. They have a card machine, but they don’t want to use it(they claim that it doesn’t work most of the time). WARNING: They have always given me more poundage than I ordered. So, bring more cash than you think you are going to spend. Order less than you think you will eat. And don’t get upset when they cook too much, because you will be thankful for it once you start eating.

I love crawfish, but I do get tired of the cajun seasoning that they are boiled in. This place boils their crawfish with a ton of garlic. You would think it’s overkill, but it really isn’t. It was refreshing to eat crawfish that had a different flavor to them. No there isn’t corn or potatoes, but when I go to eat crawfish I am there to eat crawfish not fillers. Relatively inexpensive also $ 5.99 a pound, but be advised that there is a 2lb minimum. My wife had the fried shrimp and they were also very good.

I went last friday because this place is in Houston’s top ten places to eat crawfish. I got there and ordered 4lbs. He went to cook it and I asked the lady for melted butter. He brought out the crawfish and weighed it and it was almost 5 lbs which was ok by me. I asked for the melted butter and the lady did not seem to understand me. When the cook came out I asked him and he said that they did not have any. That was a bummer, because I eat my crawfish with melted butter. the crawfish was pretty good but they do not have potatoes, sausage, nor corn. They may want to look into serving those items if they are going to continue being a top ten crawfish restaurant. I would come back, but I will bring butter with me.
