We were visiting Houston on vacation and decided to hit up a couple thrift stores. This one was the best of all the ones we visited. True, the mothball smell hits you as you enter, but it quickly goes away. We found some little gems around the store, and the staff was very helpful. It isn’t in a great part of town, but it has its own parking lot and is out on its own and felt safe. Check it out! The prices are fair. And Wednesday’s have 20% off everything.

Not too shabby for a thrift store. The selection is very similar to what you’d find at a goodwill store, minus furniture. Currently, Wednesdays are customer appreciation days and everything in the store is discounted by 20%. When you first walk into the store, you’ll notice a strong musty smell of old clothes. But it’s a thrift store, so it’s not anything to ponder about.

I’ve been coming here for several years now, and have visited other DAV stores across the US. While I think this is one of the better thrift stores in houston, I haven’t had much luck finding any treasures quite yet, as I have with a few of my other favorites. Some of their prices are high, they seem to be proud of a few of their items, but the staff is pretty friendly. Since the items they have are usually fairly unique, especially the items behind the counter, or in their auctions, I’ll keep coming back in hopes I find a great value.

Truly, as good as it gets. Based on the previous Unilocal reviews, I went out of my way to visit this place when I was in Houston last week. Wow. Incredibly well organized, TONS of stuff, incredible variety, very helpful staff, very fairly priced compared to other thrift shops. Easy to get to by bus(take the 5). I strongly recommend you visit this place – not just for great values, but to support their mission.

This is the gem the other reviews claim. I hesitate to post about it b/c I don’t want the secret out, but you truly can find some great deals here, and the selection includes more than clothes and accessories. They also have furniture and other household items lesser found in more boutique-y thrift stores. Wasn’t entirely sure who was staff and who just likes hanging out at the thrift store in the hood, but there were plenty of friendly people there who all seemed knowledgeable of the merch, and happy to help.

This place is a true hidden treasure don’t let it’s appearance fool you! It receives all of it’s items from the higher end boutique thrift stores in the loop once they have gone past final mark downs! This store has true authentic THRIFT store prices!

This place is a treasure! Tons of fun nick knacks, dishes, clothing & furniture. We went to other thrift stores and the prices were really high and we couldnt find a lot of housewares. Here we got everything we needed. Everyone is nice, multi lingual and sure it smells a bit like moth balls, but that made no difference to us. Very happy we found it & we’ll be back.

I like this place. It has a large selection of grandpa clothes. Who doesn’t like that? Sure this place is in a less desirable part of town and the air smells a little musty, but thats where the treasures are.
