Worst diner ever. We went for breakfast and I couldn’t even eat my food – the eggs had been scrambled on a grill that was rancid with old grease. Terrible coffee. «Syrup» for the pancakes is a watered down concoction of brown sugar water. Makes you appreciate IHOP. Never going back.

Really fun building, nice but extremely loud staff, good service and the food was perfect. Definitely visit but bring some early plugs.

Had breakfast fabulous service. The diner was so cute and very clean. The service was great. Very good value for money. Fed our family of 6(4 teenagers) for under $ 40. It’s American diner food. From our trip so far this has been as good a value for money as we’ve seen. The bathrooms could use some work.

The waitress had a hard time understanding what we ordered. Instead of informing me about them running out of quesadilla wrap, they went ahead and made it with some small wrap and it came out without sausage inside. They did not even admit they’re wrong till we showed them the picture, then after all that nothing was done. They didn’t even bothering asking if its ok to substitute the wrap thats very small in size, small in chicken portion and missing sausage. The dessert we had was apple pie crust w/ice cream and they gave us apple pie flakes with no ice cream. Everything came out in small portions. The manager was part of this dishonest scam. Don’t eat here as they’re very fraudulent.

Well it looked nicer from the outside than it was inside, simply dated. They did try to keep it clean, I’ll give them that. When it was time to order, our waiter was so talented he didn’t need to write down our order — but when the food was delivered to our table my eggs were not how I requested. The waiter went to put the correct order in, and then came back to have me scoop the wrong egg order on to a small plate(that I had already sprinkled with pepper.). Then walked away and then turned around after seeing they had pepper on them, and brought them back for me to consume. Was someone else actually going to get these eggs on their plate had I not peppered them? Why wouldn’t I season them to my liking and eat while my initial order was not out yet? I am hungry and that’s why we came here, to eat. right??? I figured the extra eggs as a temporary tide me over due to his mistake. I think 3 stars is very generous, but applaud them for trying to make it right… and awkward.

This is my first time at this location– I really enjoyed it. For starters, the wait was really short(and it was a peak hour on a Sunday too). The classic diner look adds to the experience as well. Our waiter was nice and even made our son laugh. She also grabbed a high chair for our son in advance… I guess as parents we really appreciate when we don’t feel like we are an inconvenience and I felt like we were welcomed with by that gesture. We were hungry, so obviously the food was good. The establishment smelled like every mom’s kitchen and there’s something extra special about that. Denny’s seems to have really amped up their menu– tons more variety and an assortment of options(no matter your budget). I will definitely be returning this this location!

I hate overcooked eggs. My eggs on my Moons Over My Hammy were way overcooked. They looked nothing like the picture in the menu. Grits were very watery. The hash brown were strangely chewy. I’ve been to Denny’s many times but this time was a huge fail. Orange Juice was pretty good. Friendly hostess and Manager. But they need to teach the cooks you CAN overcook eggs.

**ROACHES**… the manager cleaned the dead Roach that I killed off our table before I could take a picture. This Dennys lacks good waitresses except for the small black girl with braids. She is the only one waiting on her tables and NOT talking to the other waitresses. She’s extremely polite and smiles at her customers and is very attentive. Unlike the waitress we have.“Julissa”… She’s not attentive at all. We will not be eating here again.

My daughter and I went on a chilly evening. Unfortunately their heater was broken that night. But, our waiter was very friendly and so was the other woman working. My daughter and I sat at the bar and they gave me a cup of hot water to warm my hands. We had a delicious meal and a nice visit with the staff.

This place isn’t as bad as people say! I’ve been coming to this location my entire life. Yes it used to be terrible but now they’ve been hiring people that actually seem they want to work there. Good manners, always smiling, decent service. It doesn’t take what seems like hours to order and get your food anymore and the food actually comes out hot now! The only downside I’ve seen lately is they forget to refill your drinks when they’re fairly busy. Service has been a lot better lately than it has been in the past, it isn’t one of the best but this location is getting better. I’ll keep coming back as long as they keep improving.

I’ve come to this Denny’s three times now and even though it’s not the absolute best Denny’s in Houston, I’d say it’s a pretty decent one. It’s clean, the servers are friendly and the food is good too. It’s a chain so obviously you know what you’re getting, but thus far they haven’t forgotten any component in any meal(some Denny’s sometimes forget the candied pecans in the Cranberry Apple Chicken Salad, others forget to bring the dinner bread, or the servers don’t check in on you to see if you need refills, etc). They’re attentive here or, especially after seeing some of the reviews here, maybe they just like me.

Worst meal I’ve ever had, pancakes seemed like they the frozen kind, sausage didn’t taste good at all and they put low fat butter on the grits, service was great but the meal just didn’t cut it…

I am going to have to disagree with everyone else except Mark T. This was by far the best Denny’s I have ever been to. Maybe I walked in on a special night. Maybe the stars were in alignment and the heavens wanted me to have a perfect day. Who knows? My bff and I were hungry after a concert at Warehouse Live ended at midnight. Not many places were open at the time so we came here. It wasn’t that busy so we were seated right away. The place looked clean and there were no ants or anything like the other reviewers said. Our server promptly took our orders and the food came out pretty quickly. The first time I ever had the zesty nachos was at a Denny’s on the north side of town and I thought they were really good. Every time I went back to that location, the nachos would get worse and worse with each visit. Same went for the cheese fries. I ordered both of those here and shared them with my friend and let me tell you, these were the best ones I’ve had to date. The fries were steaming, burn-your-mouth-and-throat hot and were not missing any ingredients. Other places always forget either the shredded cheese or the cheese sauce. The nachos were fully loaded and the chips in them were awesome. Our server was super cool and checked on us often. My friend ordered the iced coffee and when our server brought it out, he was really modest about it. It was his first time making one but it was still super delicious, according to my friend. This Denny’s is really out of the way for me and I doubt I’d come here again unless I caught another show nearby. I wish the Denny’s near my place was this good.

Loved it!!! The best Denny’s I’ve ever been to! Honestly. Ask for D! Our server was funny and food was hot, fresh, and quick. Wouldn’t recommend going if you’re afraid of having fun. Very diverse.

I’ll keep this review brief since the food is like any Denny’s. Now coming here after a late night of clubbing may not be the best idea. There are people all over the parking lot and cops are out and about either making sure nothing breaks out or arresting someone. I didn’t experience any cockroaches or ants like others but if you can avoid this location, it may be best.

one stars is quite possibly the highest this place will every get. and honestly, its more like a .5 than a 1. why? well, the physical place was not DIRTY from what i could see. it seemed pretty tamed, and i guess the other reviews were somewhat old so theyve cleaned the place up a bit since then. didnt see any ants, so i thanked my lucky stars for that. the food TASTED decent. tastes just like any other dennys. i had the ultimate skillet, cheesy fries, and a sprite. i was taken aback a bit when they waiter let the skillet spew out steam and smoke all over the place at our table. usually they let it air off a bit before slapping it in front of us to avoid having patrons bask in the ambiance of smoke. i hope i dont smell like that all day today. *shudders* now the reason why ive emphasized that it TASTED decent, is because im not so sure how decent the food actually is. about 30 minutes after i left, i started getting this nauseous, sinking feeling. then suddenly i was overcome by headaches. and then become extremely nauseous, the food doesnt feel like its digesting right, im calling it upset stomache and it feels like the bought of food poisoning i once had. pretty sure i can blame the food because well, thats the only thing ive eaten all morning. all in all, if you can avoid it, go elsewhere! if its early, try the barbacoa tacos at the stripes across the street! and if its late, hats off to any brave soul wanting to come in and get food poisoning from this place.

Welcome to another HOODREVIEW from The Hood Reviewer. Ok, this Denny’s i like. Again is in third ward and it is nice. The people there are funny even the waiter. I like to joke and have fun with people, because that is what i do. The food is ok. It better when its 3 am and you tipsy. Then you come in there leanin and want something to eat. TRUSTME I KNOW from EXPERINECES.LOL. Moving on, i enjoy it. I say, go there to eat and chill. To me all DENNYS are the same. I just like the quietness and the atmosphere. In addition, since I am new to this, i want to say thank you. People actually like my reviews, in which it is shocking to me. However, thank you. i will do more hood reviews and i will branch out more out of the hood to get food or place. lol.

This Denny’s sucks. The only thing even remotely likable is the fact that it’s one of the«classic diner» style buildings, otherwise I’d simply recommend that it be burnt down, and the ground beneath be sprinkled with salt. The food was terrible, the service worse, and it was like 11 degrees inside. I work an overnight shift and used to live a few blocks away and in the year i lived there I preferred to ride my scooter, in the rain, to somewhere in the Montrose area, than come to this place. Drive past it, remark to yourself, and any potential passengers«isn’t that neat» and then speed off to any one of a number of better meal options in the area.
