I have to agree with the office vibe; not friendly or helpful. I paid my portion of the office visits since I hadn’t met my deductible. They are slow to turn in claims and then the practice is to not send in medical records. Both my claims were denied for that reason. It is going on 2 months and they still can’t get the medical records to the insurance company. Dr Amy Haase is helping with my foot issue, she is great but office employees ruin the experience.

The vibe when you walk in is not very nice. They don’t really say anything to you except to sign in. I was scheduled to have an MRI for my ankle and they couldn’t find a place that my insurance took. After some calling they finally did. I then receive a call from the place the next day that they don’t actually take my insurance. I tried calling the office multiple times to get other places to do it and they just took down my name and number. They NEVER called me back. Do NOT go to this place. They do not seem to know how to run a reputable business.

Dr. Amy Haase has helped me overcome plantar fasciitis with orthotics and stretching exercises. I was able to run my first ½ marathon this last weekend. I’ve recommended her to several friends. They have all appreciated her help.

This review is for the memorial City office I hate to give them 2 stars because the doctor I saw seemed very good. However, before I even saw the doctor, they did an xray of both my feet which the doctor ended up not ever looking at, as far as I know. Since I am Medicare, it seems that they were just padding their billing, but that’s just my opinion and not an accusation. Before I left, the doctor offered me a sample of some over counter the medicine for the neuropathy in my feet. I took it and then came home and researched it and the reviews were good so I started taking it. It actually ended up helping the most of anything I’ve ever tried. However, I did not go back for a second appointment as I had a kidney stone come up. So two months later, I get a bill for $ 30 for this over the counter bottle that was offered as a free sample. I’m sure the reason I didn’t get a bill within 30 days of going was because they weren’t going to charge me for it until later. I was not going back. I’ve written them, and if they still bill me they will find a motion for discovery asking for their vendor invoices for every bottle that they’ve ordered and then copies of their patient bills, redacted of course, to show that every bottle has been billed out. I doubt they’ll want to go that route. I would like to say, again, that the doctor I saw whose last name begin with an L seemed to me to be very competent and had a great bedside manner and was very informative. If not for this billing issue I would have gone back to see him this month.

I had bunion surgery here about 6 months ago and had mediocre results which I know unfortunately is how many bunionectomies turn out. However, I received a call from a debt collector months later stating I had an unpaid balance from my surgery. Prior to this call with the agency, I had called the DFS billing department and left messages on 2 different occasions inquiring about a balance as I had recently moved. I never received a call back from them and instead they passed that on to a debt collector. What great customer service.

I originally chose Diagnostic Foot Specialists because I had a toenail with fungus and did not know what to do. I arrived at the office 15 mins early and was not brought back to an exam room for over an hour. I then had to wait an additional 20 minutes before seeing the doctor. The doctor was nice and gentle and said she could give me some medicine. I went to the front of the office to pick it up but was not given any instructions on what to do with it which was a little frustrating. I ended up googling for instructions when I got home. I went for a follow up appointment recently and was disappointed again. I did not have to wait this time however I could hear the doctor in the next room chatting with a patient about her life. Because of the extra 20 mins the doctor took with this patient, she was late seeing me. The doctor prescribed medicine that was to come by mail from a pharmacy. When I received it the pharmacy also sent a bill for $ 100.00. This office routinely runs late seeing patients and the doctor is not very good about explaining the medicine she is prescribing or what the dosage/usage is supposed to be. The doctor is very nice and knowledgeable, but there are probably better foot specialists in Houston. Overall, service here is mediocre.
