My clothes have always come back cleaned and in good condition. They do offer fast, same-day service, which is good. However, I did have a bad experience. One time I took in a load that included a particular pair of pants that I needed by a specific day for work. I went in that morning on my way to work to pick them up. The rest of my order was ready, but that pair of pants wasn’t. I asked them where was the rest of my order. The lady said: «You also had a white dress, right?» Huh??? I informed her I didn’t have a white dress. I had black pants. She couldn’t find my black pants. She said, «We may have accidentally switched your black pants with the white dress from someone else’s order, but I won’t be able to confirm that until that order comes in tomorow.» Well, shit. I was outta luck that day and had to drive back to the house and put on dirty pants for work. Ok, so these things happen. Everybody makes a mistake once in a while. Myself included. BUT… this store didn’t have the business sense to compensate me in any way for their mistake!!! They still charged me full price for the job. A good business person would say something like: «We’re sorry for the mix-up, and we’d like you to use us again. This order is on the house, and here’s a coupon for a free…» etc. Nope. Nothing like that. They might as well just said, «We fucked up your order. If you don’t like it, tough shit. Don’t let the door hitcha.» I’m searching for another dry cleaner in the area.

Dilley’s is conveniently located for the Spring Valley/Spring Branch area. Service is pleasant. However, I found their prices high: $ 5.25 for men’s unlined slacks; $ 7.30 for a short sleeve silk blouse. Also, there is no alterations person or service there, so that’s just another stop in a long day I would have to make. March onward!
