As Joe Walsh said in a line in his«Life’s Bean Good to Me» song: «I have accountants pay for it all» * Discrepancy found in the Books: There actually IS Accounting for taste, as this CPA(«Catalina-Preferred Always») will espress so well: Duncan quality is somewhere between Catalina Coffee and store-bought. I R S pecially like two flavors(i.e. Compound Interest) of this brand that I Credit to Rising Roll Gourmet’s introduction to me: Texas Cinnamon, and Southern Texas Pecan. The coffee beans are roasted in Texas(no Liability in that). So, I go to the on-line Prospectus to order. This is my Journal of transactions: — Expense: $ 9.50/lb(plus $ 5.50 shipping) … also recorded in the General LEdgar(sic humor). — Tax deduction?: No, because Unilocal is not paying me for this review — Book Value: Was booked online, saving 44 cents postage — Accounts Receivable: Beans arrived in 3 days My Audit: Arms-length transaction: Grinding time for beans was normal for my preferred size grain. Adjusted for Inflation: Using a drip-style coffee maker, the same size 2 flat spoonfuls(i.e. Straight Line Method, not heaped) for Starbucks will give about the same strength with Duncan. I did not count number of servings from the bag(i.e. Cache floe). No Depreciation: After two weeks, the beans gave the same taste as the first day(Basis: one cup per diem). Gross or Net Income: Good flavor, not noticeably bitter. I drank the whole cup. There was hardly any Accrual(in the bottom of the cup) or Residual Value. One day, the taste test was done by Proxy(neighbor), and the stated results were in Compliance with my assessment, but it’s still a Write-off. Debt-to-Equity Ratio: Cost/taste_quality =1. Collateral: I wonder if Duncan goes with the name-corresponding company’s donuts? On Balance, I like the coffee, at least in this Fiscal Year. Subchapter S: On the website, the history of Duncan coffee reveals the original founder in 1918 later created a special blend called Maryland Club and later, sold the company to the Coca-Cola Company. In 1997, Herschel Mills Duncan IV fired up the roasters and reestablished the Duncan Coffee Company. * Sarbanes-Oxley Act: Not wanting to invite regulation or copyright trouble, I had to change my review to a parody of a profession rather than create a parody song based on Joe Walsh’s. I hope you profit from this review. Earnings Report: There are 37 references to Accounting in this review.

Évaluation du lieu : 4 Houston, TX
These guys are the best kept secret in Houston. Finding their coffees can be difficult at times, but well worth it. It is an old family company that really seems to take pride in producing a superb product. Try their organic and fair trade coffees from all around the world, they have flavor and taste and do not have to be drowned in hot milk to make them palatable. I was even able to get some green beans from them to test the feasability of roasting their really fine peaberry in my own home.
