It’s 8:15 am on a Monday… you are a bagel shop… how are you out of plain bagels? More importantly, why are you yelling at your customers and fellow staffers about it? Horrible customer service, I felt like the box of bagels was just tossed at me. The only good thing about the experience was that they bagels were only $ 6 for 13 and they tasted good. But the customer service was terrible from start to finish.

The nice guy behind the counter was leaving and told me someone would be with me … So I waited and the lady behind the counter yelled that she was taking orders at the next register. So myself and another lady move. Then out of no where she is helping another lady who I didn’t even see in line … So I waited and then still no help so I left … I don’t like to write bad reviews but, this one is to let the people know at Einstein’s to please acknowledge the people who are waiting we just stood there and the lady who works there would not even make eye contact with me or the other lady.

Usually patronize the Montrose location but decided to give this place a try for the last 3 months because it’s closer to my gym and nothing has changed. I usually give a place a few tries just to make sure it’s not an «off» day but unfortunately this place gets a. 50% of the time I have to go back home immediately after leaving this place to heat up my own bagels, orders come out with the wrong schmear and the morning staff seems to fall short of understanding and communicating accuracy. Even in the past when I have constantly repeated my small simple orders of 1 – 2 items, I get attitude back like I am the one who doesn’t get the order correct??? Take the drive if you can and visit another location.

Good bagels, nice customer service. This particular location gets PACKED on the weekends due to every child in the entire West U area wanting bagels before their game. I thought it was sweet that the people who worked there knew everyone coming in by first name, which is rare now a days. Bagels are always reasonably prices, and coffee is strong.

This place was busy around 7 am this morning. The line moved fairly fast. The service is OK. Not really friendly nor was it bad. I had the Nova Lox. It was pretty good and tasty. Coffee was good. Yes, I would come back since it’s the closest one to the Medical Center. On Mondays you can get 13 bagels for $ 6.00, what a deal!

I have always loved coming here for breakfast with my mom when our Saturday mornings were not busy. This is a convenient location since it is off of a busy road and is on the way from Rice to work or home. Though there isn’t much parking, many customers are taking to-go orders and thus parking spaces free up relatively quickly. There are quite a few seats and the lighting in the area is really good since the building is mostly windows. I did not notice too many outlets and there often are a lot of people talking so I wouldn’t recommend this place for studying. Perhaps this is a good place to have a meeting or get some simple work done. The bagels themselves are really good! You can get them toasted, with cream cheese, and cut in a number of different ways. According to my mom, their coffee is quite good as well. Their orange juice is fresh but I cannot guarantee freshly squeezed. The shop is not very clean but perhaps since there are always people streaming in and out. The service is quick but during peak times of the day, the service is a bit less patient.

Horrible experience. Stopped in for a quick to go grab, didn’t know it would take 20 minutes and rude service.

First time coming to this location. This was probably the worst and slowest customer service I have ever experienced at Einstein. The person behind the counter didn’t even tell me to go to the cashier to order under the sign«pay here». Usually we order with the person handling the food then go pay at the cashier… Well that’s from my previous experience at another location. Next up, the cashier with long fake nails was grumpy and had a slight attitude. Customers would say thank you but they would just ignore the comments. I get it, it’s early in the morning but why you gotta be so rude? I’m only giving 2 stars because I’m in love with their honey almond butter and it’s spacious. They also ran out of cinnamon raisin bagel! My favorite :(

DONOTGOTOTHISLOCATION. Horrible service. A whole lot of things wrong with one simple 5 minute visit. 1. Half the menu wasn’t available. They wanted to close early for rains. There were about 10 stale bagels available. Fine whatever. 2. The cashier got angry that I asked for cream cheese after I said Just the bagel. I understand that I made a mistake, but still no reason to yell at a customer. No hint of an apology either. 3. Took 20 minutes for a order of ‘5 bagels and cream cheese.’ Really? 4. Came home to 5 bagels COMPLETELYCOLD and 4 shmears. So to sum up. Rude service, no apology, long wait, cold bagels, incomplete order. Never returning to Einstein Bros after this.

Twice in a two they got our order wrong. Poor customer service and grumpy staff who are unwilling to help. We were served wrong bagels and our shmears were missing. Staff said we didn’t speak clearly even though the receipt shows the shmear paid for which shows their lack of respect. Recommend finding another store. Love Einstein Bro bagels. Hate this outlet.

Customer Service is horrible. Cashier was very rude and not welcoming at all. Every question I asked, answer was given with a very condescending tone. Customers should be treated as if it’s their first time here, which it is for me. I will not be returning

I love this place and I love there Bagels, I always have couple issues in here its either the employees are extremely nice, or they are extremely rude there is NO in the middle. and the other thing, every time I come here to order one time you will be ordering from the right side, other times you are ordering from the left side and if you are in the wrong side you will be screamed at and they look at you like you are an idiot.

Today I got the Monday special of 13 bagels for $ 6 so this is one of those reviews you probably shouldn’t take too seriously but I’m sold and not ashamed of it

Two stars mostly because there is really nothing that stands out about this place. The interior is very industrial and a bit jarring due to the loud machines/refrigeration, beeping devices, and general clutter of the inside. It took about ten minutes to get a Santa Fe sandwich(with no bread) at 6:05 am on a Monday morning. I like the big rectangular table at the back surrounded by bar stools in addition to outdoor seating — nice touch. But I don’t like the two register idea as it adds confusion for everyone as far as where to go or order. I went to the«first» register and they told me to go to the«pay here» register to order AND to pay. Huh? I also like that they are open at 5a as I usually wake well before this time. If they had healthier options like gluten free bagels this would get three stars.

I’ve been very disappointed with this Einstein location every time I’ve been. For starters — the parking lot is terrible. The store is awkwardly placed on the corner of Kirby(a very busy street). People usually end up blocking traffic just to get in/out, only to find out there are no available spots. Very frustrating. It seems that every single time I go, they run out of what I order. You would think that a bagel place in a very busy part of town would make sure that they have enough bagels to get through the day… Supply & demand people, come on. The people working are not very friendly. That’s always a big turn off for me. Don’t work in customer service if you don’t want to(at least pretend to) be happy. They also don’t know what«schmear on the side» means. Annoying. Also– pretty much anything you order seems to have an onion-y taste to it. They probably use the same knife in the schmear. Onion doesn’t taste so great on my blueberry bagel… With many other breakfast options around the area, I probably will not return to this location of Einstein.

This location is convenient prior to heading to work. The bagels are always fresh and full of flavor. My favorites are the chocolate and cranberry. The parking lot is small, probably holding at most 15 cars at one time. It doesn’t really matter since majority of customers are in and out. Coming in at the time 06:10am, parking is easy. Be careful of the potholes on Kirby before entering the lot. It’s a bit confusing when walking in to see two registers, not knowing which one to order from. Typically it’s the register on the left(away from the fridge with the drinks) is where you place orders. The staff is relatively nice but appear a little clueless whenever an order is placed. They asked me about three times if I wanted my bagel toasted and which schmear again? One time I ordered the berry goodness topper bagel and I walked out with salmon as the topper on my bagel. Since I was running late for work, I couldn’t go back and wait for them to(re)make my order. Instead I called the store and the manager picked up. I notified him the incident, good thing he remembered me and my order. He was more than willing to reserve a berry goodness topper bagel free of charge on my next visit. When I came in the next day, the same manager recognized me and repeated my order from yesterday without me saying one word. Impressive, I must say! The manager correctly made my order(from yesterday) and apologized for the inconveniences. The berry goodness topper on a cranberry bagel was delicious! They drizzled honey to balance the tartness of the strawberries. I asked for the original schmear instead of the strawberry schmear to tone down the sweetness of the honey. I will be back.

My favorite Einsteins! I’ve been to the one in Montrose(awful service) and UH(mehhh) This location is spacious, good service and I love the big windows near the back which give you that nice morning light with ur delicious toasted bagel and flavorful, milky, sweet coffee! The bagels are consistent. Soft, crisp and big all in one! The blueberry, plain, cinnamon raisin, are great! The strawberry, honey almond, and plain cream cheese(smear as they call it) is amazing! I buy it by the tub! The coffee is driving across town worthy! Better than Starbucks! I don’t even need flavoring like you would in a latte. The coffee is so pure and fresh that half n half and sugar are just enough(coming from a hazelnut creamer addict) Great, cheap, satisfying breakfast 2x week for me!

This location was more spacious than any other Einstein’s I’ve ever been in. There are two separate sitting areas! I love getting to choose where I sit :) The area we sat in was really nice and clean. I was surprised that it was so not crowded for being right at lunch time. Our food(2 Turkey Bacon Avocado sandwiches) came out promptly and were delicious. I love when restaurants are generous with the yummy green goodness of avocado. I can’t get enough. The price of $ 7 a sandwich was a slightly steep but it was worth it. I’ll probably be back when I’m in the area.
