Last night my friend hosted here. We had a blast! Great music, strong drinks and flavorful hookahs. An actual dance floor that folks use to dance on… Shocking! If you’re in the area, want to hear some good music, definitely stop by!

Very disappointed of the place, they call a food truck last night at the last moment because they need to feed more than 100 people. Only 10 or less people was there and they didn’t want to be responsible for the min fee for the food truck was asking, nothing about ethic. only they say we apologize and thats it

And the award for the nicest women’s restroom goes to… EPIC22 Lounge! *insert applause here* The mirrors and lighting were fantastic. Perfect for selfies and USsies! Every angle was my best LOL! They were also clean and fragranced. I didn’t want to leave. We came here on a Friday night. This was our third stop in a series of bar/lounge hopping. It was around 10:30, and although there were several other patrons sitting and standing around the bar, the actual seating area was not full. This was perfect since we our party grew exponentially as the night went on. We missed happy hour, but since that wasn’t our focus, we didn’t mind. Having heard about the parking situation, we opted to carpool and utilize street parking.(My friends actually parked closer to Sugarhill, which is where we stopped prior and then a group of us walked over. Expedition! LOL). The DJ was the highlight of the night. Thanks to Apple, anyone who has a MacBook and an iTunes subscription can be a disc jockey and that’s a major fail. This guy actually knew music, and was well-skilled in the art of mixing.(I can’t stand when I’m about to rap Lil’ Kim’s first verse from ‘Crush On You’ and the donkey of a DJ switches the song! Argh. But, I digress). The night was a perfect blend of old-school hip hop and soulful tunes that kept us dancing and singing off-key.

Despite my personal pet peeve of so called«lounges» playing their music too loud to allow for conversation, this was a pretty solid spot. We came for a birthday party & they had ample seating, good music, drinks & even had a free Happy Hour Buffet with some pretty good food. Nice renovation. Parking is horrible. The lot in back is not marked properly and you will most likely be parking on the street, but they do have Valet. I personally like lounges where the music is not the focus, so I am not sure I would come back unless it was for a Birthday.

At first I was ready to give this place 1−2stars but these 3 things got me to this 4star review… 1. Drinks: happy hour was amazing… like AMAZING lol. It ends at 9 though so you don’t want to miss it. I got a double Jack and coke and my sister got a double shot of patron. It was $ 20. After hh, my sister got her double shot of patron and it was $ 20. Feel me? 2. Food: it’s FREE and delicious. Get that. 3. Music: the DJ was awesome. He did an amazing job mixing new and old school. Had me ready to jump out my seat every song! This is def a hidden gem and my kind of place. A mature but fun crowd to enjoy with.

So a friend of mine was recently hired as the new promoter for this venue so he convinced me to celebrate my birthday here this past weekend. I obliged since I know that he has impeccable taste; although I remembered being at this venue once before and didn’t really care for it so I hadn’t been back since then. 1) The venue itself isn’t bad and could be a very nice establishment if the crowd is changed 2) Parking isn’t the greatest(mostly street parking in a residential area) 3)The crowd is the worst part of this venue!!! It was tons of young people in here(I’m 37). I do not wish to party with college aged young adults at all!!! 4) The DJ catered to the young people so a lot of the current hip hop songs were played. Didn’t care for that! This made the youngins begin to dance in a big circle. That’s when I knew it was time to go! Also, the DJ only played«snippets» of songs. If he did by chance play something our 30+ crowd wanted to hear and dance to by the time you swayed side to side he would go on to the next song. Not cool! 5)Another big disappointment were the drinks. The gentleman with my group ordered Jack straight up and Scotch; both were watered down. I mean literally my boyfriend’s Jack«straight up» was golden/yellowish tan!?! Jack has a deep dark brown hue… wth??? Needless to say I think the bar staff or management are likely adding water to the bottles of liquor to make them stretch/last longer. And with college aged kids being their main patrons at this time they probably don’t even notice. Lol! Overall, our group stayed for about an hour and couldn’t take it any longer and decided to go to 4212 with the grown people!!! We enjoyed that much better! Hats off to my boy that was recently hired to help try to turn this venue’s crowd around! He’s got a huge task at hand but I have faith in him! If anyone can do it; it’s him! However, my next visit won’t be until he’s told me it’s improved greatly!!! He’s trying to start a corporate happy hour so that may be worth checking out considering the quality of the drinks are addressed. Unless you’re 21 – 25, I would pass on visiting this venue for now at least during«club hours».

As a hrm major, bartender, and consultant I will say from a guest point of view, for the demographic area, the ambience, and the prices its a nice place for happy hour… the service is very friendly and the drinks are poured slightly on the heavy side which is expected in third ward. I havent been on a busy night because I dont like to be around a crowd when i drink… the only reason its 4 stars is because sometimes i have found myself waiting longer than 2 minutes when its slow and im kinda anal… overall great spot though

This lounge is a hidden gem of the 3rd ward. It is completely classy. I’ve never seen a «Rachet» in epic. The happy hour food is delicious and the service is so friendly. Totally grown and sexy spot. Come ready to talk to some great people.

Considering I live in the neighborhood, I have no idea why I’ve avoided going here. I love it. They have a full bar, it’s spacious, and the bathrooms are to die for –plenty of mirrors, like every woman needs. Back to the lounge(but the bathrooms are nice): I went on Friday for happy hour. The DJ had the right mixture of old-school R&B and hip-hop. PLUS, they had a free fried fish buffet. It seems that the crowd gets younger after 9. By that time, my happy hour drinks made me not care that sounds of Eric B & Rakim had been replaced by Drake.

I had a joint birthday party here and OMG this place ROCKS!!! Best service ever! Everyone made sure we were taking care of. I never had to go to the bar. The bottle service with reserved seating was AMAZING!!! We might make our birthday party an annual event here.

My girlfriend and I had our bday here and it was a BLAST. Great service all night beginning the moment we walked in the door. The DJ was good and played a good mix of old and new hits. The bathrooms are gorgeous and clean. Parking was the only concern as it’s limited and we got blocked in but we’d had so much fun that evening we didn’t mind waiting to get out.
