I rarely write reviews, but the other negative reviews here compelled me to write a review for Dr. Eubanks. By any objective measure, Dr. Eubanks is extremely capable and I am extremely confident in her care(skin cancer issues for me; acne issues when my son was a teenager, including a try with Accutane which we stopped based on her detailed explanation of the pros and cons after receiving initial lab results). She is VERY thorough in her skin cancer examinations, very knowledgeable in her general field, and very clear, straightforward and detailed in her explanations. Her Galleria location is very inconvenient for me so I eventually tried other dermatologists closer to me but ended up returning to Dr. Eubanks because of her thoroughness. I really don’t understand the negative reviews here — perhaps it’s the straightforward nature of her explanations, which actually I very highly value. Or perhaps the issue is one of initial expectations of a doctor and the extent to which one believes in taking firm control of one’s own health care and that of their children. By no means do I think Dr. Eubanks lacks empathy or a good bedside manner, but what I really value most is her thoroughness and clear communication. If I have a question, I ask it. If I have a concern, I voice it in the room. If you think your medical care is an active partnership with your doctor, do NOT let the negative reviews here stop you from seeing her.

How do I give her minus 10 stars? She was rude, belittling, and unbelievably inappropriate. She referred both of my parents to a skin cancer specialist. Sometime later at an appointment of my own, I informed her of my parents’ passing(each unrelated to the cancer). Rather than extending her condolences, she joked about the specialist«doing them in». REALLY how STUPID can one be !?!

While the office staff is fantastic, I was not impressed by Dr. Eubanks. Long story short, a male nurse practitioner student was brought into the room with the doctor without anyone even asking my consent and observed my full body freckle check. I was completely uncomfortable. So uncomfortable that I had to ask Dr. Eubanks as well as the student to leave the room as soon as the freckle check was over because I felt so «overexposed» and just wanted to get dressed again. Then when they came back in for my acne consultation, Dr. Eubanks pretty much said in the first 15 seconds there was«nothing she could do for me» that didn’t involve Accutane or antibiotics — two things I did not want to go on right away without exploring other options. Dr. Eubanks didn’t ask me anything about my skin care products or regimen and also didn’t ask anything about my diet at all. It was medications or «good luck.» She tried to tell me that she suffered from the same type of acne and acted like she cared, but she didn’t even attempt to get to the root of the problem. How could she not even ask what type of products I use on my face?! I ended up leaving in tears b/c I was so frustrated at the lack of solutions offered(more solutions are offered online than what I received in Dr. Eubanks’s office today). I will not be going back to Dr. Eubanks or her practice ever again.
