I visited this store without realising they close at 6pm. They were already closing when I arrived. But the very kind and helpful assistant, Crystal, opened the door and said ‘Come on in.’ She asked what I needed and took down several, ie a lot of, swimsuits for me to try. She was so helpful, so friendly and never made me feel like I had to rush. I ended up finding a great suit and a sun hat. I will definitely go back to this location and have Crystal help me :) She truly went above and beyond what was required of her and I appreciate it.

I, like most women, would probably rather amputate my right hand than try on bathing suits. I’m the first to admit that I am my own worst critic, and again, like most women, I never like any of the bathing suits I try on and ultimately buy in hopes of a magical fairy making it look and fit perfect… which never happens. My husband and I are planning a trip to Cozumel next month, so it is time to face the music and get serious about a bathing suit that looks and feels great. Sounds easy enough, right? I’m built weird. I’m short(5’3), curvy(not fat, but curvy), and I wear a 36D. Finding the right bikini top is virtually impossible given my extreme self consciousness and self-criticism. I asked around(on social media) for suggestions on where to shop for bathing suits that compliment, support and cover the … the ‘flotation devices’. Several women recommended Everything But Water, so I sucked it up and decided to give it a try. WOW! I love so many things about this place. First, I love there is plentiful parking. I’m noticing lately that there seems to be trouble finding parking spots all over Houston, so it was nice to finally park right in front of the store. Second — I was immediately greeted cheerfully by one of the sales associates. Third — the selection is HUGE. Every possible style, cut, fabric, designer — SIZE — its so nice to have real choices to pick from. Fourth — I love that they don’t limit the number of items you try on — you don’t feel like you are being accused of shoplifting just because you want to try on more than three bathing suits. i think i had at least ten in my fitting room. Fifth — Nikki was fantastic in knowing her bathing suits and what would be most flattering. She insisted that I try on a triangle top bikini, even though I swore up and down it would look horrible on me. Guess who was wrong — I was. She knew exactly what she was talking about and I ended up buying TWO of them, one in black and the other turquoise. I’m giving this place a 5 star rating for my first visit there– which I never do. The prices are a little higher, but so worth it knowing that your bathing suit will fit you properly and will LOOKGOOD. One minor objective criticism — I dont’ like fitting rooms with curtains. i think when you’re trying on bathing suits, you need a solid door to help with the privacy aspect… the curtains didn’t really close all the way so I was nervous that other customers might see me topless… yeah, I“m bashful about that. Big kudos to Nikki — she was extremely patient, very helpful and knowledgeable. She made me feel comfortable and was very objective and honest. I’ll definitely go back to this location. Thanks again Nikki!!! :)

Looking for a bathing suit can be a daunting experience. Most of us have body image issues and thanks to Rosie Huntington, screwing up the courage to try on swimwear is akin to walking a tightrope across the Grand Canyon. Since all of my swimwear is seriously outdated & tired, I found myself parked in front of EBW yesterday with a sheen of sweat across my forehead debating if I really needed to step inside. Oh what the heck, go for it. The boutique is bigger than I thought with a very abundant selection of suits. I was immediately greeted by a young, thin & gorgeous salesperson named China(what in the world is she doing working here when she could easily be a model). I fought the urge to tuck my tail & run while she showed me around the showroom, pointing out the new arrivals, mix & match separates, resort wear, cover ups(definitely interested in these…) and accessories. She asked me if I was looking for anything in particular(how about my body circa 20 yrs ago?), my name & then left me alone to look around. I approached the racks with uncertainty which turned into enthusiasm when I started pulling different styles & colors. Before long, my hands were laden with several choices & China started a fitting room for me. I carefully looked at every suit in all corners of the salon, I didn’t want to take the chance that I would miss«the one». Satisfied that I had laid my eyes on every style, I hit the dressing room and Boy Howdy! I think there was one of everything hanging there. Surprisingly I found 3 suits that I absolutely fell in love with. A gorgeous Tommy Bahama white bikini for the cabana, a fun black, white & royal blue by Swim Systems for swimming and a sassy Michael Kors red /white striped for tanning. While my husband doesn’t understand my logic in suit choices(the cabana, really? Yes, really) he loved them all, especially the sassy one. EBW offers a vast assortment of styles and the staff friendly, helpful & discreet making my overall experience pretty painless. I actually left the store excited about my new purchases!
