Exceptional Nails

First time at this shop and I have found my new nail salon. I must say I was very impressed with both the service and the quality of work. Kim did a great job on both my daughters and my nails. Definitely would recommend this salon to anyone looking for nail technicians who take pride in their work and are up to date with new nail trends.

Pretty good — fumes are a bit string initially. They did a great job on basic mani/​pedi with buffed nails. Very detained and good service.

The outside was a little sketchy but the inside is great. They did an absolutely amazing job (shellack manicure) for a very affordable cost. Not to mention they got me in on such short notice the day before New Year’s Eve! I will most definitely be going back. One other Unilocal reviewer mentioned the slanting at the top of the stairs. Definitely something to watch out for and be careful, but over all it was a wonderful experience!

It was my first time here and it was just amazing service all through out! They were patient with picking my color and tried different ones on my nails until I was decided. Everyone is so friendly and they speak English! My favorite part was the free slippers because I was working flats. They even bagged my flats to take! I found my go to nail salon!!! :)

Exceptional they are! Best salon in Houston! Everyone is kind and really good at there work! They take me on time and always answer on all of my questions and they always notify me on the charges or if there will be extra charges and I appreciate that a lot! Plus I do a colorful acrylic powder and they have the largest selection that I’ve seen yet and it’s not common at all. Go see my girls Mimi and Anne and you’ll love it!

I love this place. I did my nails about 7 times there (with Nathan, nancy and other girls which I cannot recall their names) and every time is excellent. FYI: they are close on Sundays

I have been going to Exceptional Nails for over two years now and I love their professionalism and perfectionism! Today proved to be one of my best experiences: I was a little nervous about doing Solar nails since I only do manicures and pedicures, but Lily (I call her Lee-​Lee :) did an amazing job AND fixed my nails to my liking without being offended. The manager and Catherine were also very helpful too. We laughed about it and she said «well I know you better now» :) I plan on wearing solar for a while and only Lily can do them

I love Lily! She is the best. My nails last and she does an amazing job.

Prices have gone up again. Regular pedi and shellac mani was $ 66, and I had already soaked off my old shellac polish before I went in (bc that’s when they seem to do the most damage to my nails, rushing to get the old shellac off and then filing the nail bed, bad!) so there was even less work for the shellac girl to do. My shellac came out okay, but she let the polish pool a bit at the cuticle and that usually makes them more likely to start peeling off sooner.

After reading the great reviews, I stopped by on my lunch break for a manicure. First off, as others have said it doesn’t look too pretty from the outside. However the inside is very clean and at noon I went it and they took me immediately. One slight warning: when you reach the top of the stairs be careful-​the landing slants down a bit. Threw me off guard in my heels.
Now for the manicure — I’ve bit my nails my entire life and haven’t been for the past two months so I decided to treat myself! I believe it was Lilly that did my nails (or Kelly?) whoever, they did GREAT-​even with my short nails! She took her time to make sure everything was perfect, was very polite and did not try and push me to get a pedicure/​wax/​acrylic/​shellac. If there’s one thing I hate it’s being harassed by salons to get more more more! So, so thankful they did not do that here.
I’m very picky about nail salons and this one exceeded my expectations. I will definitely return!

I love this place, Tina does a great job! They are quick and I’ve never had any long term quality issues like cracking or breaking that haven’t been my own fault. I’m pretty hard on my hands and they hold up very well!

The shop came highly recommended from a customer sitting at my bar and I’m glad I went! They’re only 5 minutes from a job and let me tell you, it’s a HIDDEN GEM!
All the ladies there were so sweet. They were attentive and very knowledgeable about nails. They aren’t priced bad either for being in the Galleria area! I got a solar refill with two design fingers and gel polish for only $ 50. Tipped 20% because hey we’re just so awesome. I will for sure be going back there. Nancy was awesome so schedule with her!

I love this place. I’ve been coming here for manicures and acrylic and gel nails (yes I get both) for about a year now and I am very happy with the service and the consistent quality of results.
The nail techs I always request are Lan or Kim, depending on which one is working that day. They are always friendly and make me feel welcome, but I think any of the nail techs would do a great job and I have only seen stellar work at Exceptional Nails.
Regarding the price, yes it does cost a few dollars more than some other shops, but after having my fingers cut up, irregularly shaped uneven nails, and terrible service at other nail salons, I know now that you truly get what you pay for.
I have only had one or two pedicures here and they were comfortable and relaxing; I don’t remember the name of the girl who did mine but she was very thorough and gentle.
All in all a great nail salon with skilled techs who will tailor your nails to your preferences and do a great job every time :)

I’ve been coming here for years. It’s a great nail salon inside the loop. All of the staff is very friendly. Today, I treated myself to a spa manicure and pedicure and it was really nice! I had no trouble being seen as a walk-​in. Plus, they serve wine! Great way to enjoy my spa mani & pedi!

I am in town for vacation & didn’t have time to get a pedicure before I left home. I went to Exceptional Nails after seeing it was near my hotel w/​great reviews on here. LOVED it! I will definitely be back next time I visit!

Terrible!!! Did a very poorly job had to keep
redoing my nails over and over. it has been about 3 days and my nails are already starting to chip off! they cut me multiple times and overall it’s over priced!!! do not go here.

I’ve been coming here for seven years now, never once had an issue. I always feel the need to stress quality and cleanliness at nail spas. This place far surpasses dozens of other salons in Houston, expensive and inexpensive.
See Quynh, Nancy, Lanh and if you HAVE to Rose or Daisy. I prefer the former over the latter, every single time.

I am currently waiting for a refill. I got my solar nails done a month ago and they still haven’t fallen off so I decided to get them refilled at the same place. That’s the only good thing about this place.
The first time i came here I waited 25 minutes after my appointment time. Today I arrived at 9:45 on a Monday for my appt and the woman sat down to do my nails at 10:25.
