EZ Tan

Love this place! I typically would use the Veraspa booth but was helped by an employee who took the time (although she was there alone) to tell me about the Mystic Tan. I agreed to try it out, so she got me set up with the best color and and thoroughly reviewed how to use the booth, barrier cream, positions, etc. I am SO happy with the results. The color came out great and is completely even, no streaks or spots. I couldn’t be happier with results and will definitely be going back!

I came here a month before my wedding to get a subtle tan. I didn’t want to look pale and washed out in our photos! I signed up for the best package which included use of all the different types of tanning beds. I hadn’t been to a tanning salon for years and they are so much more tech savvy now. The Sun Angel bed measures your skin tone and automatically adjusts the UV lighting so you don’t burn. This bed and the Perfect bed has face and body fans and music options. The Sun Angel bed gave the best results and takes 20 minutes. I would switch between that bed and the Perfect bed (6 minutes). I burned my butt a few times in the Perfect and just decided to leave my panties on for the rest of my tanning sessions. I never had to wait for a bed. It’s in and out. Super quick.
I loved my tanning results. I didn’t look like I had a fake tan in my photos. I had a nice healthy glow.
The good thing about the membership was that I could add my fiancé (now husband) for just $ 20 more and he could have access to all the same beds.
I will definitely come back here once a month or so to maintain some color.

People at the front checking you in are always friendly and knowledgable. They are flexible. Always make it work, find a solution for you, and accommodate you if something goes wrong on their part.

Here’s an updated review after being with EZ Tan for a little over a year now! I still LOVE it, but I switched over to their $ 55/​mo HD Mystic package. They have the newest, most state-​of– the-​art Mystic machine that you cannot find anywhere else in the greater Houston area. The Mystic is 100x better than the Versa in regards to color pay off as well as how long the tan lasts. With the $ 55/​mo you get any color Mystic cartridge, including the dark (my favorite) and you also get the light in Versa. No streaking and a long-​lasting tan. Love.

ZERO sales pressure. Super clean place, from the front displays to the insides of the beds. Gigantic sign in the front detailing the different beds and costs so there are absolutely no hidden fees or unpleasant surprises when you check your bank statement. Several different «levels» of beds, including something extra fancy called the Sun Angel and a couple of stand up spray tan booths. The lotions up front are fairly pricey, but not any more so than every other tanning salon ever. While the place is clean, bright, and airy, you can tell they’ve really put their investment in the beds themselves. Awesome!
Got a $ 50/​mo. to use the middle-​of-​the-​road beds, and they’re truly terrific and worth it. I had no idea how crappy the beds at my old salon were until I came here!

This place is everything you’d want from a tanning place. Awesome beds that are always clean. Friendly knowledgeable staff that doesn’t constantly pester you to buy stuff but will inform you about the great deals they have. The hours are great. My only gripe is I prefer versa spa to mystic for sunless tanning.

I came here after reading such great reviews on Google and also because of the close location to my home. When I walked in, the young lady gave me a tour of the facilities and explained to my the advantages of each bed. I told her my situation (just wanting a tan for a wedding) and she absolutely went out of her way to help me as best as she could. I could tell that she really wanted to help me out and make me happy. I forget her name… I see her there week nights. She has given me great tips, recommendations and answered all my questions.

I was searching for a good place to tan since I just moved to the houston area. I have also tanned using beds for a long time but wanted to switch to spray tans but they are usually very expensive… but EZ Tan is extremely reasonable in price, you can’t beat it! $ 35 unlimited a month is amazing. I found that after I got the accelerator lotion and exfoliating cream my spray tan lasts about 4 days and that’s great for me. I do lots of activities which require me to sweat/​shower a lot and the color stays really well! I also love the staff! They are so friendly and helpful and make each visit very pleasant! I would definitely recommend this please, not only for the services but the prices that can’t be beat!

This is my favorite tanning salon by far! I used to go to darque tan but they got so expensive, and I wanted an option to pay as I go instead of a monthly membership. They offer 5 sessions for the price of 3, an ongoing special that i always buy. They arent pushy or «salesy» about anything, which is rly refreshing. I love that they offer a stand-​up tanning bed (not really a bed… chamber? Lol) it gives an even tan without those weird lines under your butt-​cheeks or red spots on your back! They stay open til 10 on weeknights too, much later than planet beach! Very friendly staff and I’ve never had to wait for a bed more than 2 minutes. Oh, and they seem to change out their bulbs quite often, I’ve had the best results at this place!

I’m a huge customer service person, so if you’re super friendly and helpful, you already have a win with me! The staff here is absolutely the best. They always ask me how my tanning is going and always suggest new products. They are always asking me if I want to upgrade but never pushy about it. I love just a little color… my goal isn’t to be super dark and fake looking. I definitely achieve my goal here. If you’re looking for a place to tan, whether it be spray tan or «fake baking» come here. The salon is always clean and once again, you can’t beat the friendly people that work here!

I got the mystic tan. At first i was skeptical bc i heard that its streaky. But thats NOT the case at all. My tan was so smooth. I got the extra shot for 5 dollars more. I am not as dark as i would like to especially with the extra shot, i am a fairly light person too. i will defenitly return and let the front desk girl know my concern. She was very nice too and explained the process to me… this was my first time doing the mystic tan.

I’m a landscaper, and while I love my job, one of the most regrettable side effects of working in jeans and a polo shirt everyday is a ridiculous farmer’s tan. RIDICULOUS. And while it is certainly not something I think about all the time, I couldn’t STOP thinking about it when my good friend asked me to be matron of honor in her wedding. In a black, strapless, short dress. My first thought was «EXPLETIVE. What am I going to do about this ridiculousness? The damn thing is like a week away.»
So while I might be well-​versed in my own special brand of «farming,» I am not always the most knowledgeable about beauty emergencies. I’ve also had unsatisfactory results with self-​tanners at home, and with my work schedule, laying out was not an option. Finally, a friend recommended bed tanning, and spray tan (Mystic) in particular to help me even out my coloring.
I arrived at EZ Tan for the first time and was greeted by Samantha, who is a gem and clearly deserves a raise based on her awesomeness alone. She is super friendly and approachable, and not over eager, pretentious, judgmental, or over-​the-​top about tanning. She answered every single one of my questions and even thought of the questions that I would have later and wouldn’t think to ask. Obv, the girl knows what she’s doing.
My first step was a couple of sessions in the Sun Angel tanning bed. (Over several days.) Now, granted, I am not a tanning bed virtuoso, but it was pretty clear that this was the Porsche of tanning beds. Clean, disinfected… if it had been used twenty times that day, I had no idea or proof.
The first step was a reading of my current tan levels, which then automatically adjusted the bed’s settings to the level of exposure I would need to even out. This thing also comes with a cooling system with misters, built-​in music channels (or you can hook up your iWhatever), and buttons galore to adjust every imaginable setting. When my 20 minute session was over, I didn’t feel like I had been in a coffin full of light — I felt rejuvenated and like I had spent the afternoon laying out at the beach. The rush of Vitamin D is addictive, not going to lie.
If I had left it at the tanning bed only, I’m positive I would’ve achieved the coloration I wanted in no time at all. But being on short notice, I really needed to get some extra color and the best way to do that was a Mystic tan session.
Mystic tans are spray tans, and basically amount to putting heavy-​duty lotion on your hands and feet and standing in a shower-​like chamber where a fine mist of spay tan is blasted at you at a speed and process reminiscent of atom fusion. The whole process takes roughly ten minutes. And the result is an immediate, even, healthy-​looking glow.
So, to sum things up, I can’t speak highly enough about the quality of service at EZ Tan. The staff is top notch and the products are something to write home about. (Or write on Unilocal about.) Their website is also great — you can sign up, get info, everything you need. It is so rare in life to find a trifecta of quality, service, and price but EZ Tan delivers exactly what they advertise: an easy tan that’s great quality provided by people who know what they’re doing. Thanks, guys.
P. S. As for my offensive tan, it’s gone. For now. I am sure I’ll be back eventually for more!

I love this place. One of the few, actually THE only tanning salon I’ve been to (that I can recall) that is always unpretentious and friendly and doesn’t have snobby people (women AND men) behind the desk and waiting in the lobby (I’m looking at you DT and PB). No matter who is working the desk when I come, they’re always genuinely nice and sincere.
Beds are effective and place is clean. What more can you ask?

First I have been to Allllllot of tanning salons over the years. yes, I know the harm, but in my 20’s being tan was cool. Now, its still nice to have that summer glow without sitting outside in that Houston sun. Now, I spray tan. I have done it several different places since it has been invented, and at some places it is quite pricey for beauty. I did a search for tanning salons in the galleria and came across EZ Tan. I went in last week and took a look at their pricing which I must say is AWESOME! You can get a monthly unlimited Mystic membershhip for $ 35.00 a month. If you get the right person they will give you $ 10.00 off, –$ 25.00 a month for UNLIMITED tanning – fist pump to that! Normally ONE mystic tan is at least $ 25.00. Great deals, SUPER DUPER clean, and the staff is really sweet and helpful! Like it a lot!

Tanning has changed a lot of ten years. Yes, that’s how long it has been since I’ve been to a tanning salon, but I was comforted in knowing that somethings are still the same.
My sister’s wedding is this weekend and since all the bridesmaids are wearing strapless dresses, I had to do something about my horrendous tan lines pronto. Groupon had a great deal available online through E-​Z Tan (at all their locations) with a few options for $ 20. I went for the unlimited tans for one months with a free session in the Angel booth.
The sign up was easy – I showed up, gave them my name, number and email and that was it. I gave them the Groupon coupon and every visit afterward, my info has been in the system without a problem and without delays. They also have lotions available for purchase, but I never even bothered to look at the wall.
I opted for the plain old tanning beds since that’s what I knew. They have a bunch of options available, but I’m an old fashioned girl. The beds have a 15 minute max like everywhere, but I was especially happy with the cleanliness of the booths each time I went. There’s also a full length mirror in each room which I find helpful to measure tanning evenness. Each room is also equipped with a radio with a variety of channels for your listening pleasure. The fans were helpful and pretty strong, and I was glad they had the option to turn off the face lamps since that’s obviously a part of the body that generally needs less tanning since it is exposed to the natural sun.
For my last session before the wedding I decided to use the Angel tan that was part of my Groupon deal. I was taken to a room with a more fancy looking bed. The wand measured the color on my forehead and then on my inner arm to measure the difference and adjusted the lights accordingly. The buttons involved with this bed were much more extensive. I got to choose fan strength and temperature for the body and the face. I also got to choose the level of heat for both as well. Very nice. This session was particularly effective and what the previous four sessions did well, this one did fantastically in just one visit. Had I known how great this bed was, I would’ve just paid out of pocket for this bed and lessened the amount of times I had to drive over.
I’m pretty happy with the non-​orangely look of my tan and how friendly each of the employees have been. I haven’t been much of a tanner since I left high school and I’m not sure I’d make it a regular thing to do, but I’d highly recommend them for anyone looking for a quick bronze before a special event.
