Fiesta Mart

I only go to this Fiesta when there is no other option, and by that I really mean NO OTHER OPTION. This Fiesta is crowded, busy and overpriced. It is obvious that the people in this neighborhood are mostly uneducated and they pay for it in higher prices. Whenever I go to this fiesta instead of HEB or Kroger I am surprised that they get away with charging so much more than other chains for the same things. I have even compared the prices to the Fiesta in Pasadena and somehow this one always charges a little more. Sad, this is why the poor will always remain poor, greedy owners. NOT A FAN.

I’ve never been to a more disgusting grocery store in my life than the Fiesta on Mykawa at 610. Seriously folks, the area is sketchy as it is, but when you’re desperate and already know that you’d rather give up a kidney than shop at the equally bad local HEB, you’re willing to try almost anything. I now know why I had never shopped here before, and why I never will again. I will die of starvation first. When I walked past the meat and seafood department, I wished I didn’t have a sense of smell. I literally started breathing through my mouth so I didn’t have to smell the scent of rancid dead animal. The entire reason I came to Fiesta in the first place was to buy some grilled cheese supplies, because I was seriously craving a grilled cheese with onions.
I’m not even kidding when I say that I had to SEARCH to find edible onions. The onions were literally covered in patches of rot. Who KNOWS how long they’d been sitting there for. As if that weren’t bad enough, when I got home and opened my brick of cheese, it had a moldy film on it. The sides and corners of the cheese were all covered in a very fine layer of powder-​green. I was really, really disgusted. Finding moldy cheese in your refrigerator is one thing. Finding moldy cheese in your grocery bag when you get home is completely different.
Other reviews of Fiesta on Unilocal seem to be better than mine, so I can only assume that it’s an issue that’s specific to this location. Never again, ladies and gentlemen. Never again.
