4 stars because it’s far from home. :) My husband has been coming to Fiesta Tacos since the early 80s. There was a FT in the second ward area; now there is just this one. He always gets the carne guisada burrito with cheese. This sucker is HUGE!!! Homemade flour tortilla. Delicious carne guisada. The original owner, Phyllis, passed away a few years ago. I remember her and how she ALWAYS knew what my husband wanted before he orders. His grandfather used to bring him all the time since he was 8 years old is so. Her daughters now run it and it’s just a delicious. Yes it’s an old school authentic Mexican restaurant. Delicious food. Kind staff. Warm environment. Small green building. Inside Mexican colorful walls. It’s so good that we would visit this place when we would visit Houston(when we lived away for 21 years in military housing). Hubby is stationed away with one year left. He still visits.

I love this place. ESPECIALLY the dollar breakfast tacos monday — wed. Tortillas are pretty stinkin’ great. And it may very well be the best green sauce i’ve had in Houston.

Been eating here for 25+ years! Friendly staff and family run. Great food. Also — way affordable. The refried beans and rice are worth the trip. My favorite is the chicken flauta plate. All food is made on premises from scratch — except the corn tortillas. But, they buy those local and fresh.

This is a good place. I’ve only been there once so far for their breakfast tacos but being that I’m right up the block I plan on patronizing their establishment again sooner than later.

I’ve eaten here for most of my life, since I was a really little girl. My parents ate here nearly every single day for many years. They formed relationships with the owners and even took customers who stopped into their shop here to grab breakfast or lunch. I’ve probably eaten several thousand tacos from Fiesta Tacos. Sadly, Their food has definitely gone downhill. Maybe it’s all of the changes in who oversees the kitchen, I don’t know. Not only has the kitchen staff turned into a group of eternally confused individuals, but the flavor and quality of the food is slipping quickly. I have eaten the exact same thing every time I’ve eaten here for 20 years… lately they can’t get it right. Ever. I order 3 bacon, potato and cheese. I usually get two bean and potato and one egg and bacon. Or some other mixture like that– two of one and one of another. then they stare at you like you should accept their mistake and just eat what they give you. Never ever fails that it has to be corrected. Also, lately the tacos are stuffed with the filler ingredient– potatoes in mine. Almost no bacon and stuffed with bland potatoes. I’m just not sure if the changes in the area are driving the changes, or if people are so accepting that it isn’t driving anyone to fix these issues, but it isn’t working.

I was pretty impressed with this place and will most likely come back here for some breakfast tacos! Much better than Laredo taqueria and service is great! I had some tacos but I also saw someone get some menudo. I’m sure it was good! My brother had told me about this place about a year ago and we waited too long to try it out! Definitely a hole in the wall but very much recommended.

Mind Blowing. These are either the best, or second best, breakfast tacos in Houston, and I love the homey feel of the place. It’s small and none of the furniture matches… But it’s what you expect from a hole in the wall. The tortillas are amazing and really made the dish for me. I thought the ingredients were the perfect amount and tasted pretty nice as well. The staff were very friendly to me and my friend. This is my new go-to taco place in Houston. I look forward to trying it out for dinner.

Whether the night before has involved a little too much fun or its been a quiet night — this is my favorite place to come for breakfast tacos. The staff is friendly and attentive. Personally I love bacon and egg, and bean and egg breakfast tacos they taste amazing and get you started on the right track for the rest of your day.

Horrible food, no flavor, no marinating of the meat, disgusting lard flavored beans, small portions = yuck That was for lunch — I once went for their famous breakfast tacos and they were remarkably average Also, the workers were grumpy and unfriendly and not in a charming way — the 4 star rating needs to come down El Rey smokes this place on every level

Great little place for breakfast tacos. I was designated to bring breakfast tacos for a co-worker’s birthday party at work. So, I went through Unilocal to look for a close place near work and this place popped up. I placed an order for pickup. The guy on the phone both times were friendly. I wasn’t sure what to order and he advise me that I should get a little bit of everything in which I did. I ordered bacon & egg, Eckridge sausage, egg & cheese, potato, egg, & cheese, barbocoa, chorizo & egg tacos. Everyone loved it and told me to get the same type the second time. Btw, their green salsa is amazing! I had put it on the chorizo & egg taco and it was so good. Yum! If you order a head of time for pickup, it will save you a ton of time instead of ordering a large order and waiting. It looks like everyone comes here in the morning time. It is always so busy.

First off the green sauce is so good, spicy and tasty! Love this place. I have been going here for 8 years and it is just so good. Potato egg and cheese I so good! The service can be hit or miss. They will forget tacos. Put beans when you say no beans lol but you know what there tacos are so good it does not even matter. Best tacos in nw Houston)!

Best breakfast tacos hands down! Don’t come here for bacon and egg tacos or standard sausage and egg tacos and expect to be blown away… you can get that anywhere. What makes fiesta tacos awesome is their great combinations, my favorites are: chilaquil taco on flour, Chicharron, egg, bean on flour and Barbacoa, egg, beans on flour. The 3 potato bean and egg taco special is an awesome deal as well!

Ok. I have been coming here for years. Great friendly staff and amazing food. Normally come for breakfast and get the poco peso. Breakfast omelette with spinach, cheese, tomatoes, onions. Side of potatoes and beans and tortillas. Today they made me the most amazing tacos the blows any other taco joint in town away! A Barbacoa taco and a chicken Mexicana. Loved it.

Not sure where the hell all these«Best Breakfast Tacos in Houston» reviews are coming from or, Maybe I caught them on the worst day possible? There was maybe a tablespoon at best of ½ assed scrambled eggs and a few flecks of bacon bits inside of a 6″ flour tortilla — This does not make«The Best Breakfast Taco in Houston» Also for Tacos — They are a bit on the pricey side($ 2+ each) I just moved in the neighborhood from the Heights so it’s nice to have real Tacos in such easy reach but, I also want them to be good :-/ I’ll give this joint another chance in the future but as of now — Not impressed in the slightest.
