Five Guys were okay. I would like Fuddreckers better. I don’t eat hamburger like that and there’s were typical. I didn’t taste or see the«magical yum» that everyone is talking about with this place. I can take it or leave it.

Best burgers… at least for the price that I know of. And I always have to get a heaping of fresh cut fries. All the food is fresh and the customer service has always been excellent at each location I have ever visited.

A co worker told me about this place and I decided to give it a shot once. I got back work I opened my bag to a ton of fries covering our burgers so I had to rip open the bag up to get my burger. The fries are awesome but beware they give u way too much of them and I can’t never finish them ok back to the burger I took a bite the burger is juicy and the patties are thick I love how the cheese is oozing all over the patties. I have ate here recently again and it tasted the same wich this is what I like if you are curious about this place just go and eat there it’s worth it.

I love their burgers! Free topics on a fresh, «never frozen» patty… YESPLEASE! The Cajun fries tastes way to salty and artificially tasting as a result. I love their regular fries. The restaurant is usually very clean and the staff is always friendly. I cannot wait for my next 5 Guys experience!

Ouch. I hate to do this… but the guys are slipping. I stopped by today to get a cheeseburger, fries and a coke. It was pretty quick ad usual. I didn’t pay much attention to the receipt thinking they had it right. I left with my bag. Got home and found a small cheeseburger!!! What a bummer. They ate starting to act like buyer king and Mickey d’s. I called to express my concern and the guy didn’t know or care what I wad talking about. The food was not very good either. The fries were so so, the burger was almost tasteless. What the he’ll is going on?

Hi everyone! This is Mason, Anthony’s charming, stylish gourmet Dachshund writing a review of 5 Guys for Anthony, because he’s off doing strange human stuff like taking down silly lights in the front of the house. All that time and effort he could put into smoking some turkey for me. Well, I do have to feel sorry for him since he lacks my licking skills. But I digress. Anthony went to 5 Guys Burgers with a friend and brought back some leftovers which he shared with me. There’s nothing like a nice, wam, greasy burger piece accompanied by a french fry. I graced both with .5 nanoseconds of savoring consumption. It was a nice, juicy flavorful piece and Anthony said the burger was top-tier, Anthony also said that he liked the simple approach, not a lot of fancy fussy choices. I could taste the bacon in the burger piece, so he followed my standing instructions ALWAYS order bacon when bacon is offered. It doesn’t matter if it’s a burger, salad, ice cream, diet Fresca or pecan pie — if bacon is available, get bacon. But I digress again. The french fry seemed a tad soft, Anthony is like me in liking a crisp french fry, so that was a downside. He also mentioned that he wouldn’t go there for the service or staff friendliness, he mentioned that the order drone seemed to act like taking an order was an inconvenience instead of actually her job! The place was rather plain, with laminate tables and somewhat crowded. While everything was very tasty, over $ 10 for a burger, fries and soda seemed steep in a no-atmosphere place. If you go with another person, split the fry order, it’s quite alot. Why he couldn’t bring more home for me, I don’t understand, I work myself to near starvation protecting his home and providing a calming influence with 16 hours of daily napping. Thanks for reading, I have to go tell the guys mowing the neighbor’s lawn that they are doing it all wrong. Why they don’t listen, I’ll never know…

i know i’m going to ruffle a couple feathers with this review, but just like the beatles music, this place is WAYOVER-HYPED!!! — I had their burgers in Virginia when I lived out there and I have actually yet to have any since moving back home to Houston. Everyone else that tries them tells me i have to go have a burger & fries there… but I’m just not«suckin’ the sap»…they’re fries, although they give you like 4whole potatoes in one order aren’t much to write home about… and they are way too soggy to begin with. The burgers are all about quantity and not much about quality… I would rather have a Carl’s Jr. burger for almost half the price.

i like their burgers. I am afraid they have gone to corporate. the mgr freaked a bit when i came in. i have to bring my own bun in, since i am allergic to wheat. I love their burgers though. there is no junk in them and the fries are real! I had to beg him to put my frozen bun on his grill. i can understand this, i imagine health dept. wouldnt approve. On the other hand my mom likes her burgers burnt and when i say burnt i mean crispy no wiggle. shes strange. he refused said he could not do that. They have real burgers no fillers, real potatoe fries, so why not real tea? I would go all the time with my own bun ofcourse pre toasted but i need real tea. the prices are a bit high too, but isnt everything these days.

«The King has no clothes!» ( ) This place is WAYOVERHYPED… the burgers are good but still WAY overpriced. The décor is minimal and basic. What strikes me is how efficient the place is designed and run. From a business management point of view, its very streamlined and efficient. There are a minimum of ingredients. Basic burger making and potatoes.(STOREDPILEDBOXESINTHE«DININGROOM») .thats it. Everything is served in brown paper bags(whether your order is to go or not) and made assembly line style. The place must be a MASSIVE cash cow for the owners since there is so little overhead. It WOULD more interesting as a business opportunity than for its food. Profit margins must be staggering. I’ve been a few times and keep wondering what am I paying all this good money for? The food is good but not $ 10 – 15 great. Fast Food basic décor would be a step UP for the place. Other mid price burger restaurants like Fuddruckers and Red Robin have a nice comfortable décor. Hooters at least has attractive waitresses to surreptitiously gaze upon. This place, with it’s sub fast food basic décor, fast food style uncomfortable seats and paper bags(whether your order is to go or not) the message is clear. «Get your over priced burger and fries and get out… and we’ll laugh(at you) all the way to the bank.» I agree with a previous reviewer… all the hype for this burger chain makes us Houstonians look way too easily pleased… if not down right stupid.

I love the simplicity of Five Guys, I would just get a bacon burger«all the way» = loaded with grilled onions, mushrooms, lettuce, toms, etc. There are some cons to the simplicity of the restaurant as the menu is clear cut and there is nothing else you can have on the side of your burger(appetizers, desserts). Overall, good price too for a «restaurant» burger, I don’t consider this fast food even though it is pretty fast but better quality. The seasoned fries are also served in a generous amount. Good location, too, if you’re grabbing food after shopping center hopping!

I have been wanting to try Five Guys for quite some time and today I finally did it. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but honestly I wasn’t really all that impressed. The burgers were pretty good, which is why I’m giving them two stars rather than one. The fries were okay, but slightly over cooked. The service really sucked though… the girl at the counter had zero personality and could clearly tell that I was a newbie so she should have informed me that their regular hamburger had double meat but she didn’t so I ordered a huge burger… if I would have known that I would have ordered a «little burger» and saved a couple bucks. The entire staff was goofing off the whole time I was there, which was completely unprofessional. This biggest issues I have with this place are the prices… they are absolutely rediculous. I may have gone back just for the burgers, but not with those out of control prices. Even more rediculous is the fact that they don’t have any«combos»…you have to order everything ala cart. There are not kids meals either, so don’t bother taking young kids there. I ordered a regualr burger with a large fries for me and my daughter to share and a small soda and it was over $ 14.00…the burgers are pretty good, but they don’t warrant that price… I could have gone to Friday’s for that. Once In-n-Out starts rolling into town(which will hopefully be soon), Five Guys should seriuosly reconsider their pricing strategy. IMO an In-N-Out burger is WAY better and their prices are much more reasonable.

What a great burger & fries! The burgers are dripping juice, the cheese is melted & its a big mess! You definitely need to wash your hands after eating this burger. The fries are fresh cut & the order is gigantic. I’ve never eaten here when all the food wasn’t piping hot! The décor is definitely bare bones & the chairs are hard. Interesting to note that many of the two star reviews complain about how crowded the place is. They have every inch of space filled with tables & chairs and yet the place is still packed to the gills. Gee, sounds like the overwhelming public opinion is the food is good. You get in, eat and get out. I wouldn’t want a steady diet of Five Guys but when I want a great burger & fries this is where I go! Don’t come here to kill an hour talking with your friends. Its definitely an eat & get out type of place.(Much like Niko Niko in the city)

Five Guys is okay and all and their burgers are better than fast food places, but I’m never really impressed. First tried them in my FL hometown after lots of raving from the fam, but wasn’t impressed then and certainly haven’t been impressed since, even with the half-a-country change of scenery. BF likes the hot dogs but I’d rather stroll across the parking lot and eat Target hot dogs(I think he likes that they’re a little charred but, hell, give me a cigarette lighter and I can blacken a Target dog for him). We only eat here in a pinch and, even then, I usually leave feeling like I just wasted a lot of calories.

Finally made it to a Five Guys. In general, a good experience. Bacon cheeseburger all the way was yummy and messy. The added jalapeños were fine, but would have been better grilled. Buns could use a little more substance and toasting, IMHO. Fries were generous in portion size and outstanding. If you like a messy burger, this is a place for you. If you’re looking for atmosphere, or even comfortable chairs — keep walking. I’d write more, but I need to go wash my hands… :)

Josh J’s review sums up my thoughts on the establishment nearly perfectly. At lunch time, the place is a mad house, and simply frustrating. The burger, fries, and drink price range is outrageous for what you get. It’s an OK burger, but nowhere near what I would expect for the price. The fries are good, and they give you way too many, but overall there have to be better burgers at a better price. The search continues. PS, I hate the get your food, get out mentality of places like this. For me, it takes away the enjoyment of the meal. It was a little better at dinner time.

When I walked in this joint and noticed all the articles and awards on the wall, I smiled and thought to myself 4 or 5 stars for sure. I had also heard some good things about their burgers. Unfortunately it was nothing close to what I thought. I ordered Cheeseburger, Fries and a cup of water and it came out to a little over $ 9. I thought that was a little steep, but at the time it just made me think that their burgers are really good and worth it. So I didn’t mind. Boy was I wrong. I’m really not sure why so many people love this place. The bun seemed similar to Burger King’s and was not really fresh. When biting down on the burger, the meat seemed to break off in chunks. The fries are pretty good but a little salty. And they give way too many. They should cut down the size and charge less. Overall I was disappointed with 5 Guys. I really wanted a good burger like I get at Lankford’s :(

Tried Five Guys for the first time with a friend and it was pretty good for a chain. I do agree with Josh and his review that eating in does have it’s downside, but over all my burger and fries were very tasty and I like the way you selected your toppings. I doubt I will make this a normal burger but it is a good place. Side note: I did see a lot of people getting food to go.
