I am somewhat satified with Dr. Triche herself. The nurse though is awesome. I had chosen her for my first pregnancy because I had witness the way she interacted with one of my close family members. She is nice, takes the time to hear you and straight to the point. Not a rude or cocky person. She never gave me any type of smart a$$ answer or attitude. Which I have find many doctors to do so. She always made me feel comfortable. Since I had no complications or issues in my pregnancy I was in and out the exam room pretty quickly. Takes a little longer to actually get inside the exam room but it is well worth the wait. Her nurse is very nice too! The front desk receptionist needs improvement though. She made a smart remark and ugly face expression when I told her I lived 30 minutes away. I have also seen her many many mornings with a «I dont feel like being here» face. I will highly recommend Dr. Triche to anyone though because she is sweet! As far as her knowledge and making certain decisions as a doctor, I am a little dissapointed. She quickly tried to start me on pitocin once I was admitted to the hospital @37 weeks, no complications and at 4 cm dilated so I could of progress faster. I feel she was trying to rush things instead of letting nature take its course and embrace the natural aspect of a natural birth. I stuck to my guns and said absolutely NOT. I had a 100% natural birth. Why do doctor do this? I believe because they want to be on a schedule and put a time frame to labor. I’m sure she didn’t want a call for a late night delivery. Which that is what happen. But that is a life of a doctor. Maybe it was my fault for not letting her know I wanted zero intervensions/meds etc and that I was aiming for a natural delivery. I still have respect and love for her because she was never rude to me in any way. I had so much confident and trust in her but I just feel so dissapointed of such a wonderful doctor that tried to give me pitocin when it wasn’t needed. I take this seriously, because labor and delivery should be serious to any pregnant woman. And, pitocin should only be used if necessary since it has too many effects on you and baby and could possibly lead to a c-section or other things. Oh I almost forgot, she didn’t discharge me, her doctor on call came in and checked me. That’s ok. It is fine with me BUT not once did she even call me or even mention it to me on my follow up appointment. That kind of makes me think she didn’t care much for me nor what she does. If I was a doctor, I would defintely take 5 minutes out of a day to call my patient to make sure everything is ok or at the very least mention it at the appoinment. If you stick to your guns, address what you want then I recommend Dr. Triche because she makes your pregancy very smooth with her sweet and friendly ways. But be prepare for her to immediately start with interventions :)
