George Street Photo & Video

Photographers were nice and attentive. Pictures came back promptly. Quality on the editing of some pictures could have been better. Regardless, there were tons of great pictures taken. Both Henry, the lead photographer, and Kimberly, secondary photographer, were professional and made our day a special one to remember for years to come.

GS does a good job of trying to match the couple’s taste to a photographer style. I think a lot of over-​posed wedding shots are lame, but we got a great photographer who knew how to catch the important little things in a very natural way. The photos that get special editing are great. I wish that the rest of them were done too. We have some photos that are out of focus or the flash ruined it (we had a dimly lit ceremony). We’ve talked with GS and are hoping to get those edited to be as good as the others.

They were very rude, unprofessional, and the quality you receive is garbage. Literally, no sound, cut out the best moments. Run! Runaway! Warning! Do not do business with these monsters! Nice and sweet on the outside and they promise you the dream, then they half a$$ the everything.

I am providing this review 6 months (to the day) later because it too this long to get everything from the company. I paid a ridiculous amount of money for 2 photographers for my wedding. This was a contractor type business where you hire the company and use one of their photographers. The reason we hired them was because we loved one of their photographers. We were notified a month before the wedding that they had FIRED our chosen photographer. So we had to chose from bottom of the barrel photographer since we weren’t allowed to back out of the contract. The one we ended up with was not professional at all and was not a good photographer.
The second photographer and the primary photographer had never met before. Big red flag. They didn’t know how to work together. They flirted the entire time too. The photos that I ended up with were only ok. Many of the detail shots were horribly out of focus. For instance the groom’s cake only had about one square inch in focus with everything else out of focus. He clearly did not know how to use his camera.
After getting the link to my photos from George Street, there were many key photos missing. And many of the ones that they had chosen to professionally touch up were terrible photos (like my husband’s grandmother’s eyes were closed… etc.). They didn’t use any critical thinking when choosing which photos to touch up and which not to. I complained about all the missing photos and they finally gave me access to all 2500+ photos.
I went through every single photo and chose my 50 favorite photos to be used in the photo book. When I went to the album builder site they had only 400 photos to chose from, only about 20 of my 50 chosen photos were there to chose from. So I complained again and they said they would put all photos there for me to chose from. After repeatedly contacting them over a one month period they finally had it fixed. 6 months later I received my photo book in the mail and am DONE with that company.

We did both an engagement and wedding shoot with Gretchen from George Street, and I had a great experience from beginning to end. We first met with a George Street consultant who pointed us to portfolios of amazing local George Street photographers who met our preferred photography style. We consistently found that Gretchen shot the photos we liked best from the portfolios and we viewed an online reel of hers and booked immediately. We had a very easygoing engagement shoot that really captured the beautiful surroundings of the park we shot at, and they made for beautiful pictures for our welcome table at the wedding. The wedding itself was a dream. Gretchen was there when we needed her– she even helped me put on my false lashes! And she melded in and got treasured candid shots as well. Although George Street seems to specialize in the wedding space, I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again for portraits. The value just can’t be beat and the people are amazing. They really let each person focus on their talent, and it makes for an excellent customer experience.

Overall, George Street did a nice job of getting us images to remember our special day by. Although we ran into a kink with our initial photographer, they were able to find us a new one that was very respectful and professional on the day of the wedding. The final photos were a great quality and we were happy to share them with family and friends.

It was truly a pleasure working with such a group of professionals. We had our initial consultation with George Street pretty early on (about 1 year before our wedding), and everything was explained clearly, and there was no pressure. Price was maybe slightly higher than going with local options, but we liked the fact that a whole team of professionals would be working on post-​processing our big day. Once we booked our deposit with George Street Photography, our primary photographer, Austin Miller, was quickly assigned to us. Closer to our wedding day, we also got contact information for our associate photographer, Jacqueline, and videographer, Van. The week leading up to our wedding, we spoke with both Austin and Van over the phone, just to make sure that we were all on the same page. Austin couldn’t have been more perfect. He was kind, funny yet very professional! Jacqueline was great as well, and took some especially outstanding photos of the men getting ready before the ceremony. Van was a very experienced videographer who quickly put us at ease, especially having worked at the same events as Austin before.
After our wedding, we amazed to find out that literally one week later (3 days into our Honeymoon), our photos were ready and online for our viewing pleasure! We were able to order a flash drive (no charge), which quickly shipped to our house containing all of the original hi-​res digital images. Austin definitely has an eye for wedding photos, especially candids. All the crew were especially great about not «getting in the way»; in fact, you hardly noticed them there at all!
We are still waiting on the video, which should be done in a couple of months, but are confident that the quality will be just as high as we have come to expect with George Street.

We selected our photographer Michelle Prince from the first meeting with George Street’s consultant/​representative. We were excited after seeing her work but, hesitant because we would not get to meet her until the day of the wedding. However, after we received our photos we absolutely loved all 1800 of them. I like that the assistant photographer, Megan Allison, captured the opposite view of what Michelle was capturing. The fast turn around of delivering the photos is amazing and huge plus. I don’t think any other company could be quicker than George Street with such great quality. Every step of the photo and video process is not done by the photographer and videographer themselves but, done by other representatives with the company.
This helps the turn around timing for both the pictures and video.
