The employees are friendly and congenial and the atmosphere was all around nice. I’ve painted a few items here and do plan on going back when I can.

Great family activity! I suck at arts and crafts, but found this place to be super fun! Came with my nieces and brother. We all had a ball and stayed a lot longer than expected. If you want to get serious about your piece you can easily spend 2 – 3 hours here. Just a heads up, that may be too long for the little ones. My 7 year old niece was ready to leave after 40 minutes of painting her horse. Just a little tip. They provide the paints and sculptures — all you need to produce is the money. Show up, relax, enjoy, and let your creativity flow!

Painting seramic pieces has been a passion of mine for quite some time and out of all the places I have been Glazed Over is by far the my favorite. Great pricing and wonderful customer service! The girls are always so sweet and friendly! I visit at least once a week and love making new bowls for my little kitties at home. Each one of my cats has their own dish set I made specially at glazed over. If you are looking to do some good pottery this is the place to go.

I am so happy to have discovered the existence of this studio. Upon coming in I was so impressed by the vast variety of ceramics to paint! I dare you to think of anything for your home– they have it! From mixing bowls, to cat mugs, to a keurig k cup holder. You have the creative license for everything in the store! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They are not simply kids working their summer jobs. They care about customers, the art work and more importantly the process for helping customers to make their art. With tips and suggestions, I made beautiful additions to my home. It looks professional after the glazing process! The glass is beautiful but I have not yet made any– review to come. I HIGHLY recommend coming on your own, with girlfriends(there’s a specs in the same lot!) or with children– they love it, too! My new favorite hangout for my growing family!

This is the perhaps the most affordable pottery painting place in Houston! I would say pottery pieces are half what you would pay at mad potter and the best thing is the store usage fee is fixed at 6 $. The employees there are very nice, flexible and helpful. It was nice that they let you use their paint pens where some other places won’t let you. One minor beef– My boyfriend and I painted two soup mugs. His was spectacular. Mine wasn’t as great. When I went to pick up our mugs his was displayed in the window while it took them 20 minutes to locate mine which was located in the back. way behind pottery presumably painted by children. Under a bunch of paper.

Their turnaround time is about 8 days unlike other ceramic studios around Houston which have a much shorter time. The staff was really nice but should I have known this I would have taken my piece to get fired at another location as I needed that piece by a specific day and could not get it in time for my event.

My boys absolutely love this place. From a regular painting or glass fusing session to their summer camps to their Parents’ Night Out, they enjoy it every time. And I love the Ladies’ Nights where you can BYOB and paint away with your girlfriends! The owner, Michelle, and her staff are extremely helpful and have great ideas to share to help you create the best project ever. She is also very charitable within the local community, and I love supporting local businesses that give back. Highly recommend for all ages. Great spot for birthday parties, too!

Glazed over is a great place to bring the kids or just spend an afternoon with a friend. It only takes a week to fire the ceramics and the staff is always friendly and helpful.

My kid’s loved the Spring Break camp here and made alot of really neat things. One time I stayed and made myself a glass fusion plate that I am really happy with! The staff is very friendly. My 6 yr old daughter thought one of them was just magical and loved spending time with her!

It’s where childhood and adulthood can meet(painting ceramics, plus BYOB or wine? yes please!) …of course, it’s also a great place to take the kiddos. I’ve been here on several occasions, with my sister, my bf, with my bf and his niece, and it’s always been a good time. You walk into a nice open studio, music playing, and everyone is concentrating so hard on their pieces… or laughing from all the wine they’re drinking and that they’ve completely eff-ed up their mug/bowl/ashtray. It really is a fun atmosphere and the staff are really attentive and helpful. The hardest part for me is picking out a piece — there are so many to choose from! Then then the next hardest part is picking out what colors I want(you’re limited to 6). Then the next hardest part after that is figuring out just what I’m going to create. Maybe it’s because I’m indecisive. Painting ceramics can be a source of joy(painting and creativity is fun) and/or pain(«are my lines straight?» «omg, I just confirmed I’m not artistic at all»). Adults have a flat rate studio fee of $ 6 plus the cost of your piece and kids have a flat rate studio fee of $ 5 plus the cost of your piece. After you’re done, the studio fires up your piece and is ready for pick-up within the next 7 days. They also have a book of local restaurant menus for you to order food into the studio while you paint and sell sodas and juice in studio. The only negative really is that they close at 7pm on Sun, Mon, Wed, Thurs(I wish they’d have different summer hours) and they’re closed on Tuesdays. On Fri-Sat, they close at 9pm. Otherwise, it’s a really great place for a date or to bring the kids or to hang out with friends. I’m all for doing something different.

This is a great place to let your creative juices flow… or show everyone that you shouldn’t venture out as an artist! The cost is $ 6 studio time plus the cost of your piece. There are tons of pieces of pottery to choose from ranging from $ 6−60+ depending on how extravagant you want to go. You paint your pottery, leave it at the studio where they fire it, and it’s ready for you within a week! It’s a great place to go on a date, or a girl’s day out. I do wish they were open past 7 pm, as it’d be great to go after work and unwind with a glass of wine(it is BYOB, and you can bring wine and snacks. another bonus!). If they were open later, and if studio time was included, it’d get a 5 Star! Great location, and the staff is great as well!
