Goodwill Donation Center

You know you’ve got some junk at home — but, you’re too busy or lazy to have a garage sale. What are you going to do since it is just gathering dust? When I last moved in 2010, I joined my fellow Americans and upgraded to a flat-​screen TV. But, I didn’t get rid of the 27-​inch CRT that I’ve had since the Millennium. (Or, Neumannium, if you need a «Seinfeld» reference.)
After having the Herculean task of bidding out and replacing the A/​C compressor, it made me think that I need to «make that change» as Michael Jackson would say and get the gigantic Panasonic out of here. This donation center is on Stella Link near Wild Kitchen, Foodarama, Spec’s, and the Braes Bayou hike-​and-​bike trail. There is one reserved spot out front for donors, which I gladly took advantage of.
As soon as I pulled up, the gentleman worker inside propped open both store doors, rolled out a cart, and was at my side in about 30 seconds. Since I had managed to wrangle the thing by myself from my condo to the car (yes, I’m that butch!) and then get it situated into my 1999 Chrysler LeBaron, I figured I’d go the extra manly mile and unload it from my car and on top of the cart. You should have seen me: you’d think I was in some kind of Olympic weightlifting competition. The Goodwill employee was duly impressed and quickly offered me my prize: a donation receipt.
Done in less than 5 minutes at the center; I don’t know why I waited years to get that thing out of here. An odd footnote to this story: I dropped it off on a Friday and I went to the closest Goodwill store on Saturday. Spotted my donation on the shelf in the back with a price tag on it. Happy to know that Goodwill will score $ 30 from my free item.
Go ahead and give it away. You’ll feel much better afterwards. (The goods, I mean. The physical goods. Oh, you know what I mean.)

So easy to donate your goods and help someone in need. We parked our car and one of the gentlemen working immediately came to our car. They took our donations and we had a receipt in our hand within 10 mins. Amazingly fast and accessible. I was really impressed.

Donations made easy. Period. There’s plenty of parking. As the attendant saw me walk to my trunk he immediately came out with a cart. He gave me a receipt form when I walked inside. I left. The whole process took no more than three minutes.
