Great dinner as usual. Everyone had desert tonight and they were all good. I had the snapper special and it was happy stomach time.

Came here for the first time for lunch a few days ago with a few friends. The food was good but my only problem was that we had to wait for around 30⁄40 minutes to get our check… I expected it to be a bit faster service since there were maybe 4 other small groups in the restaurant and 3 servers. I will probably come back though when I have more time to enjoy everything

I don’t always get to stop by Gugliani’s, but when I do, I remember why I like this restaurant. It’s cozy, homemade food at a great price. The interior is great and I’ve seen many families eating comfortably inside the restaurant. Their menu is pretty standard as far as Italian goes. They offer a lot of pasta choices and I’ve heard their pizzas are great. I love their Caprese salad, their mozzarella is made in-house. Their baked ziti is my favorite and their homemade bread is awesome! This isn’t a super fancy restaurant, but as far as Italian goes, Gugliani’s is a solid choice!

Great place with wonderful food and friendly service. The soup of the day never fails to impress and taste like its straight out of home. They have pleasant tables outside and are friendly if you bring your dog to sit outside with you. The bathrooms could use a bit of tlc though, the writing on the stalls doesn’t match the lovely atmosphere of the restaurant.

Pretty close to authentic Italian food. Though they have made mistakes on my take out orders a few times I would still recommend to try dine in. Staff is always lovely and helpful.

It’s a good place to eat. Service was good. Food is average. I will go back. It’s convenient. Update: Went for a second visit and the service was awful!!! 5 person waitstaff and only 1 cook. It took an hour to get pasta and a sandwich. May not go back…

Nice Italian restaurant with friendly service and good food. The complimentary bread is delicious. The fried calamari is a bit bland. They should at least offer slices of lemon with it to add a zing to it. The chicken lasagna was decent. Prices are fair. It’s a nice location that is quaint, a nice place for a family dinner.

This is Houston’s best kept secret. The food is incredible. The staff is mostly nice, friendly, and helpful. The atmosphere leaves something to be desired, but hey… if it were all classy, it would probably be overrun. The pizzas are awesome. The pasta is incredible. The sandwiches are yummy. Even the appetizer bread they bring out to your table is fantastic. Really, there isn’t a good reason to go to another Italian restaurant unless you just want to pay more for worse food but more decorations. The cat’s out of the bag now!

Went for dinner. I had the chicken parmigiana and my boyfriend had the chicken lasagna. We started off with the calamari and it was delicious! Large portion of food. The complimentary bread that they give is divine and full of flavor. Our meals were so good. The ingredients tasted fresh. The portions were big. I can go on about how good it was, but I just recommend you come try it for yourself. We ended our dinner with a slice of tiramisu and that was also delicious. Our total came out to $ 46. Well spent money if you ask me!

This place is my Cheers. When I walk in the friendly staff remember me and I’ve only been there a handful of times! LOL! No but seriously it is great to be appreciated as a customer. Now to the food, every time we eat here we are amazed at how fresh everything tastes. From the bread sticks they give you to the soup(try the Mushroom soup) to the calamari and finally to the pizza. Which by the way I don’t have a picture of since we devoured it upon arrival. The parking can seem a little limited at first but then one quickly realizes that you can park anywhere in that little shopping center area, including parking in front of other stores. I parked in front of a Hallmark store and it worked out great because after we ate, I popped in and did a little shopping. I’ll post a review on the Hallmark store soon. But I digress, Gugliani’s is hidden in a corner of the Meyerland area. My brother found this place on accident and enjoyed every bite. This place is one of those restaurants that once you eat there, you don’t forget it! I’ll be back often.

The soup was so delicious here. It’s served in cups. I had the tomato basil and minestrone. Both were hot and delicious and very flavorful. The minestrone soup was very hardy. It had a lot of veggies in it. I got a deal on to come here and try out this place. I ended up getting the Italian muffuletta. It was delicious. I was not disappointed. However, my sister ordered a blackened shrimp sandwich and I could smell the fishy shrimp. We sent it back with no problem. We had calamari for the appetizer and it was really good, very fresh and it was pipping hot. Thumbs up for the calamari. For dessert, I ordered chocolate mousse cake and the tiramisu. Usually I would love the tiramisu over the mousse cake but the tiramisu served at this restaurant was hair too strong on the run for me. I preferred the chocolate mousse cake but I would not come back for r the dessert. I would definitely come back for the soup and the muffuletta. The customer service is wonderful here. No complaints about that but to only complaint besides the old fishy shrimp is why do they not have cannolis!!? This is an Italian restaurant. That’s like a Mexican restaurant not having tres leches. Just saying.

This place was great when it was Collinas! Now Gugliani’s they have cut the portion/quality and increased their prices! My son wanted lasagna and that’s pretty much all you get for $ 14 almost $ 15! Carrabas has a lasagna entrée with chicken parmesan, side and salad for $ 18.90 In my opinion, it’s just not worth it!

My favorite pizza place in Houston! It’s always delicious and the wait staff is always friendly, especially Angela! I don’t know how she does it but she always remembers me when we go there! Not only do they have good pizza but their salad and pasta dishes are also great!

The only reason this place gets four stars instead of five is because I think they are trying to be upscale by their menu and offerings(including wines and such) and their prices, but their atmosphere is more laid back, not upscale – in fact, it is almost family like. They’re pricey for a casual dining experience, but too casual for being an fine dining establishment. In fact, early evening, you’ll find plenty of families with young children. I sort of like the laid-back feeling, personally. That said, when you walk in the door, you will be met with a wonderful aroma of garlic and all things Italian cooking. It smells divine. The plain tables and simple metal chairs aren’t the most comfortable, and they add to the ‘casual’ feel of the place. But here’s where you really have to decide: How’s the food? It’s wonderful. I ordered several of the small plates off the side menu, some potatoes, some ravioli, and the fried asparagus. My son had a meatball pizza, which was a yummy, obviously handmade pizza. My other family members had some awesome bacon-wrapped shrimp, a salad, and the breaded and fried artichokes, which I was kicking myself for not ordering when I tried it. They have a great wine list, with some nice light wines that are perfect for Italian foods, and some call drinks. Service was pretty good. Waiter was attentive. He got a few things off on the order, and we had to send it back and get the right meal, but it was taken care of quickly and with no fuss. The food is really good. I also have found they do Groupons and gift cards all the time, so you can get a little bit off the meal going that way on the price. But even at full price, the food really is good. You can get some upscale style Italian dishes in a more casual and comfortable environment. You have to go in if for no other reason than to smell the Italian air in there. It will get your tummy grumbling! We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in that area! As for accessibility, they are quite accessible. Easy to maneuver, tables aren’t too close together, and access to the bathroom, while a tiny bit tight, is easily do-able for an experienced wheelchair user. Definitely worth giving them a try!

…have to admit we only had salad and pizza, but both were quite good. The Insalata Mazzoni was good… a bit more cheese would make it amazing. Also the Salad Dressing was fantastic. The pizza was huge… and good… better if the crust had been crisper. Finally ~ the Lemon Tart… sublime.

We ordered a marguerita pizza(moderate grade mozzarella, mediocre tomato w/mediocre basil), the smallest, a 12 inch pie at $ 18(!!!), a caprese salad(drenched in the balsamic, again with mediocre tomato, moderate mozzarella quality & mediocre basil) and a side of marinara that was served lukewarm to cold. Weird. I also ordered the ultra cheap-o Pinot Grigio($ 7. About the retail cost of a bottle) The pre-emptive bread served was good and the table olive oil was pretty good. Grated Parmesan from a can, I’m pretty sure. Ick. No kids menu. At all. Ugh. Won’t be back… Disappointed to say the least.

Terrific service, great tiramisu, and a quiet, pleasant atmosphere. This is my first visit, but I will definitely be coming back. The wait staff was very attentive and polite, the food was solid(spaghetti and Pasta Mimo), and dessert was killer. I highly recommend, and it seems like not that many people are aware of this place, since it’s got a few tables full at dinner on a Sat, but not many.

So glad to get to this location after losing our Spring location about two years ago. Food is really delicious, portion sizes are extremely generous and the bread, delicious. Our wait staff George, was so knowledgable and courteous as well as, so attentive. To go boxes are packed in the back and a welcomed ending to a wonderful, truly Italian meal. No room for dessert!

For a New Yorker, you will rate this place a 3 maybe a 3.5. But a pizza place like this in Texas, and especially Houston you’ll want to give it a 4 or even a 5 star. It’s all about the bread, then the sauce. This place has got it right. So we will be back! The atmosphere is low key yet friendly and inviting. Great mural art! Service, pretty good. The waiter and a random waitress came by a few times to check on the meal and refill drinks. A+ for that. My sweet husband ordered the calzone.(It’s not on the menu so you have to ask for it) it was ok. Probably, the best we have had in Texas. I ordered the meatball sandwich w Caesar. Nice. Dressing was SPOT on. The complimentary breadsticks? Fantastic. This place offers a full menu of entrees. But to avoid disappointment, I’ll stick to the pizza & meatball sandwiches. I’ll eat Italian on my trips to NYC. For sure, will be back.
