Dawne is the best trainer I’ve ever had in my entire life. I’ve been doing her boot camp for 1.5 years, 3 days each week, with homework assignments for the weekends. It is truly addicting, you will not want to miss even one day of class. For $ 60 a month you get unlimited classes, which are held Tuesday through Thursday at 6am, 5:30pm, and 6:30pm — that’s only $ 5 a class. She will push you to your limits and then some, and you will do more in her class than you ever dreamed possible. And each class is completely different, you will always be challenged by the diversity.
She runs the class in a way that all fitness levels are welcomed and are able to complete the class, and there are some extremely fit people in class as well who are also challenged by the workout. She is emphatic about all classmates treating each other with respect and encouragement. Believe me, you will appreciate the encouragement, since some days when you get home from class it will be a tough decision, whether you want to eat dinner or puke. :)
Dawne goes above and beyond the role of trainer, is extremely supportive of all her boot campers, and is a great person at heart and a great friend. She sends out a monthly newsletter that has nutrition information, race information, fun profiles of your classmates, and all kinds of inspirational quotes and sayings.
There are lots of other boot camps out there (and lots of others at Spotts Park where we meet), but believe me when I tell you this is THE BEST ONE IN HOUSTON!

This bootcamp is not for the faint of heart.
Generally when you think bootcamp, you initially think ROTC. But when you get there — it’s more like Sit and Be Fit on TV. I’ve partaken in my share of different bootcamps around Houston, and this is BY FAR THE BEST WORKOUT I’ve ever had the painful pleasure of experiencing. Dawne is great at mixing it up and keeping you on your toes. This is the only bootcamp I would personally recommend.
