I would describe this as the ULTIMATETHRIFTSTORE for a MAN! This store is open to the public and has almost every type of building material you could want or need, including the kitchen sink! To name just a few things that I saw for sale(at huge discounts): Cabinetry Lighting Electrical Refridgerators Sinks Toilets Furniture Paint Hardware Doors Tile Wood Not only is your shopping saving you money it also is going towards their mission of eliminating substandard housing in Montgomery County … That is what I call win/win shopping! I love supporting charities, and especially those that work to make our local community brighter and better! Habitat for Humanity has been around for years, building homes and helping with construction projects in underprivileged communities. The ReStore, is one way that their leftovers don’t go to waste. The products sold in this store range from appliances, furniture, hardware, flooring and other home finishes. I recently stopped in to look for pieces that could be used to create my own kitchen island and was really surprised at the amount of products they had available, and the prices! Interior doors for around 5 bucks, kitchen table sets for around $ 100 and even some sinks for about $ 50. The prices are right, and some of the products looked a little dingy but if properly cleaned up, it could be a great addition to any home. They also sell left over paint from projects, so if you’re in need of a lot flat white wall paint — this is your one stop shop. Also, their hardwood flooring here is very reasonably priced. It almost had me considering a whole home makeover… but unfortunately that wasn’t in the budget this week!

Awesome place to find home remodelling, fixer-up project stuff — tons of new inventory daily — incredible stuff coming in from deconstruction of high-end homes — prices are always GREAT — reviewer Monica is incorrect, only approved, court ordered volunteers may work at the ReStore, in addition, there are Habitat homeowners who volunteer, retirees, veterans and plenty of incredibly knowledgable trained ReStore staff to assist you. Lots of businesses, builders, etc donate overstocked, liquidated, and scratch & dent NEW items — GREATDEALS

I went to the ReStore in search of cheap materials to do some upkeep for the apartment. ReStore is a kind of like the thrift stores of the home improvement chains. They have pretty good deals on certain readily available items such as paint, light bulbs, ceiling fans, tile, etc… Other items include carpet, windows, doors, counter tops, and such. All the items are new, usually donated by contractors or excess inventory from places like Home Depot and Lowe’s. One thing to note, is the staff are all court ordered volunteers — don’t expect them to be much help or know what they’re doing. Oh they’re closed on Sundays and all sales are final.
