The food was too salty! I had the crawfish and chicken wings… about $ 8/lbs for the crawfish, which is not worth it. The crawfish here is analogous to this: Imagine you had a perfectly seasoned steak that was cooked how you like it, and when you are served your steak, you drown it in salty ketchup or salty hot sauce… you really dont get to enjoy flavor… the salt is overwhelming. Btw, the chicken wings were also too salty, which added to the miserable meal I just had. To each their own, is what I like to say, so if overly salty food is what you like then come here. I will not return. There are far better crawfish places in the Houston area.

Due to the storm I could not go to my favorite LA Crawfish off Gessner so I opted for something closer to home. I was disappointed in crawfish today. The sausage that I order was old because it was brownish on the ends and tasted soggy as if it was freezer burnt. For a 3″ link it’s 2.99! We ordered medium and it was so hot we could not enjoy it. My husband loves hot but even he said it could not eat it. I’m not sure what they use to add the sweet taste but it almost taste like nutmeg. Not a good aftertaste. The crawfish were small and a few were soggy. Potatoes were soft too. The fish dinner was good and so was the rice. Waiter was nice.

Had lunch here today with a co — worker. Food was fab and fast. We had shrimp fried rice with fried fish and rice and we split a oyster platter. Food was awesome. Hot and fresh. Service was okay.

The crawfish tasted frozen and chewy. 8 dollars a pound for crap. 4 dollars a beer and under par service. Don’t waist your time or money. How is this page in business.

I have definitely been here before and it was a pretty decent experience however after this visit, it’s becoming more questionable. This location is located in shopping center on 1960 and i45 in the PetsMart shopping lot. After entering the door, there was one hostess who was at the door. She was attending to someone ahead of us. She had to leave her station and came back 5 minutes later. The line was building up behind me to the outside where people were starting to cram up. After she seated us… It took about 15 min for the hostess(not the waitress. But HOST) to come place orders for our drinks. She came up realizing that no one came to our table. People that arrived after us Had their orders taken before us. The waitress finally came about 30 minutes and then took our order without editing anything down and proceeded to fuck up our order as she was standing there. Of course, our food order was incorrect when when she came to the table with our food. I ordered SPICY crawfish and not once did I receive a refill. They had so many people working for a small place. Seemed like there was no structure at all in the building although if you absorb you see no one slacking. There needs to be structure got this place to run well.

The food is really good but the customer service sucks! My friends got the wrong order one of them started eating. My second friend noticed and told the waiter they switched the orders and she asked for her sausage and potatoe. The waiter told my friend to get it from our other friend bowl after she ate out of it. My friend said she didnt want it since she had been digging out the bowl. I dont blame her. The waiter got mad went and got the potatoe and susage and asked my other friend for it back.

I love the food here! I eat here about once a week, but tonight I had the crawfish for the first time. The crawfish were really small and overcooked. I ordered them medium hot, but I’ve learned there’s no such thing here… there’s just variations between too hot, and hot as hell. But other that, they were well seasoned. Definitely not worth $ 7.99 a lb. About the service, I don’t know why every time I come here the wait staff always seems so unorganized… the food takes a long time to prepare, but I guess it’s worth the wait. Especially, the red beans and rice. Ohhhh my gawwwddd, tastes JUSTLIKE big mama’s slow cooked beans and rice.

There is better service and more organization at a snow cone stand than here! A friend recommended this place because it was nearby our home. Upon arrival, the«hostess» and her girlfriend were having an in-depth conversation so my presence was completely ignored. Since I saw the folks I was looking for, I excused myself and walked between the two since neither of them would move. We waited almost 15 mins for someone to acknowledge us. By happenstance, a young lady was cleaning the table behind us so we asked her to help us. She took our order for drinks and since we’d waited so long, we also ordered for dinner. Shortly thereafter, she came back and said there was no ice so did we want a can soda or water in the bottle. What choices did we have? Eat and go thirsty??? When the food arrived the other orders were right, but mine came to me wrong. When I spotted out the issue, it was taken back to kitchen. Not 5 mins later, the former«hostess» came back and asked if I wanted my food served at once or did I want the correct part and wait for the wrong part to be corrected. I asked for it to be served at one time, but little did I know that meant the correct portion would be returned to me after being microwaved. Ultimately, the food lacked seasoning and severely disappointing. I do think I’ll return, nor refer people.

This place is kind of hidden in a shopping center where you wouldn’t expect a restaurant to be located. I was passing by while going to petsmart one day and noticed it. I decided to give them a try one day when I was in the mood for some spicy Cajun food. I tried the fried shrimp with some fried rice. I thought it was a little overpriced but pretty tasty. The next time I went I ordered a couple of lbs of crawfish and some beer. They were not the best, but not bad at all. They don’t have the most attentive staff here so make sure you let them know when you need the,. They are nice though.

Lackluster, small, mushy boiled crawfish. Bland lemon pepper chicken wings. Boring shrimp fried rice. The crawfish étouffée was the worst I’ve ever eaten. Just roux & crawfish. The white rice that came with it was hard as a cinder block. I will not be going back for any reason.

The Seafood Gumbo and Trio Fried rice are my favorite. I didn’t try the crawfish ’cause I don’t eat frozen crawfish.

The food was very good and the portions were very generous. The grilled pork chop was amazing the fried rice was pretty good too. My wife had the catfish and shrimp and said the catfish was very good with the Cajun tartar sauce. The shrimp was just ok she said. The prices were very reasonable in my opinion. Definitly worth checking out if your close by and like Cajun food.

Used to go to the Hwy 6 location, but since moving out to Spring my husband and I decided to try this location — big mistake. Beers were not only not cold, they were flat out warm. Our waitress was sitting down eating when we sat down, and decided to try to finish her food before she came to take our order. We get our food, and my crawfish is great, my husbands food was awful. We let our waitress know we were going to step outside for just a second, and not to take our food. We come back in and our food is gone, so they make it again and this time my crawfish is TERRIBLE. It was mushy, like they had already cooked it, didn’t serve it right away, then recooked it. Never going back.

I tried their boiled crawfish and shrimp basket, which came with Cajun fries. Everything was great. Loved the seasoning for the crawfish, definitely had some kick. The only cons are for the crawfish being $ 8.99/lb and it does not come with corn or potatoes– that’s extra. Plus the service was OKAY. But it’s less than 2 minutes from my house, and I can get a quick Cajun fix.

My friend suggested this place since it’s her favorite crawfish place in her area. It’s pretty casual but inside it’s very dark. Very hole in the wall atmosphere. We decided to get one pound of crawfish each. She chose spicy cajun and I picked the spicy garlic butter for seasoning. We also picked a dish out from the lunch specials. I ordered the fried shrimp and cajun fried rice. The shrimp were fried well and were not greasy and the fried rice was not bad either. It came with some of their house made hot sauce. Delicious! Good heat and tang when I poured it over the rice. My friend ordered the red beans and rice with fried shrimp. No complaints from her. I’ve ate a ton of crawfish already this season and I know what to expect. Their crawfish was indeed fresh and not frozen. But I found several crawfish with broken tails and most of the batch was overcooked since the tails were super rubbery. Not worth the $ 7.19 per pound listed. Spicy here feels like extra spicy… I could barely handle it. Service was very good. The ladies were friendly and checked on us frequently. Better off ordering anything else than the crawfish. I’ll stick with Crawfish Café in Bellaire for crawfish.

Perfect place to come if you plan to spend couple hours at a restaurant. Service was horrible and unattentative. Food — was raised on Cajun food, and this food is just okay. Not anything I would bring a friend to nor first pick of places to come back. Boudin balls were frozen on the inside. Fish and shrimp were over fried. If you’re looking for Cajun, I’d recommend you keep looking. This isn’t what you’re looking for.

Great food! Creole fried rice was very salty the first time I tried it. But they brought me some extra white rice, and it was doable. Crawfish was DELICIOUS and very flavorful. Okra is very good as well as the fried catfish filets. Wasn’t too impressed with the customer service as the servers were rude and rushing us, and there were only two other customers in the place(as it was July 4th). It just seems like they want you to hurry up and order and hurry up and get out. Plus just tacky and rude demeanor from the young waitresses. I wouldn’t mind going daily to get some crawfish. One pound was enough for me, and I added garlic to mine. Be mindful that adding corn and potatoes to your crawfish dish is EXTRA. Didn’t know that the first time we went.

There seems to be some hankering with the name(different on web, web name, and receipt) to avoid confusion with a similar named place on Westheimer. Food: Good, plus. Lunch special $ 7 for 5 fried shrimp and spicy red beans & rice. With drink, it’s $ 10 meal. Décor: New, crisp, clean. Some scattered New Orleans memorabilia, with some Cajun corrugated steel thrown in. Many TV’s, on sports channels. Music: Current, peppy beat and too loud(not NOLA styles). Furniture: Wooden chairs and wood patterned Formica table. Hot sauce(representing 3 ethnic types): Tobasco & Cajun Chef, Valencia, and Sriracha. Location: Next to ‘my’(«Larry’s») Hobbies. In strip center, it’s hard to see from I-45 or FM1960. So, since this place seems to break the typical Cajun template and is named ‘Hank’, then obviously Hank William’s song(changed for this review) «Family Tradition» comes to mind, renamed«Cajun Tradition» for this parody. Sing along…(reference ) Cajun type restaurants Have always been a real close family But lately some of my kin folks Have disowned a few others and me I guess it’s because I kinda changed the direction I guess I went and broke the Cajun tradition They get on me and wanna know Hank, why do you fry? Hank, why don’t you use smoke? Why must you play songs that we ain’t wrote? Over and over Everybody made my prediction So if I serve Viet egg rolls I’m just breakin’ On an old Cajun tradition
