Heights Irrigation and Drainage

These guys were very professional and know what they are doing. My backyard in the Heights was at a low spot and previous owners just let the back flood and have stagnant water. With all the rain in Houston in May/​June 2015 I needed a solution. Juan was great to work with and he and his men did an excellent job and even put the yard back together very well after digging it up. They had to go across and under a common right of way alley to get the outlet to the main drain that was used by the neighbors as a driveway and managed that situation really well.

HID had their work cut out for them with my home, but they were never discouraged by the challenge. The builder of my home had improperly and poorly installed corrugated pipes to drain the backyard into the front yard ditch. HID excavated the corrugated pipe and installed new PVC pipes, fittings, and catch basins that eliminated the existing blockages and prevented this from happening in the future.
Also, HID found a very creative and effective way to direct the backyard downspouts that used to discharge onto the grass, but now route thru PVC pipes to tie into the central drain. Before they did this I was constantly dealing with dead grass and a soggy backyard, but now the yard is as dry as it should be. Amazingly, all this work was done without any knowledge of the existing drainage layout; basically, they figured out all of this on the fly without any interruption in their abiliity to get the job done.
I was very pleased with HID’s diligence and professionalism. They do a great job of returning everything to the way it was before they arrived, if not better. I would definitely recommend their services to someone else as I was recommended by a coworker to them.
